I took my truck to get a new battery. After getting there, they took it back immediately and came out to give me an estimate. I was told the battery and the service would be around $350. I told them to go ahead and replace the battery in hopes it would fix the problem. After it was done they called me up to pay and told me the total would be $280. Lower than before. So I am not sure if the first person gave me the wrong price or if I got a discount. Either way I got a new battery and all is good with the truck. read more

Tire with repeated pressure issues. Called and asked if I needed an appointment....very courteous person (George, I think) answered and told me to just stop in. I came into the store for a quick tire patch. my tire just so happened to be leaking air quickly and I needed it fixed. I had asked them to simply put a patch on for me so I could be on my way. the tech took my truck in the back. they couldn't get my tire off due to the fact that I didn't have my lock nut key for the wheels. so I told them to do a different patch on it. they said okay no problem. the very young, disrespectful technician looked at me like I had 6 heads like what I was asking was such a problem for him. 20 min later he comes back in and didn't do ANYTHING to my tire besides put air in it. his manager at the front of the office seemed visibly frustrated with his decision. so they wasted my time and I didn't get anything accomplished with my tire. thanks to their lack of expertise that you think one would have who works at a tire shop, once I got where I was going g which wasn't far I HAD TO FIX MY TIRE which hone for me was no problem at all. I had it done under 10 min. to conclude if you value your time and sanity do not come here. your better off going somewhere else. read more

The past two times I have used Blacks auto service. My stepdaughter went for the first time to have a plug put in her tire and they snuck in a brake rotor with charge of $55 and I had to go up and straighten it out myself. last week, this time I went in for an oil change full synthetic and it was marked as $116 when they finish they wanted to charge $155 saying it took 7 quarts of oil that no one in this place told me that it was going to be $25-$30 more than the advertised price. Yesterday my wife's tire was leaking due to a nail in it and she had an appointment within an hour. I took it in and they fixed right up immediately. She made the appointment easily. The people working there are great I needed a plug in a tire. The price was a little high for a tire plug $29 which only took about 20 minutes to fix it but I had to be worked in so my car was there for 2 1/2 hours read more

Wow do I have some things to say. I went in to get a truck serviced and apparently during the last inspection and tire rotation some very smart individual over tightened the lug nuts and today they broke off and black tire & auto were the last people to service it and they took no responsibility for the damage and it costed 200$ to fix and all they did was remove a lug nut from another wheel and put it on that one. They didn't even give me a discount so they have just lost a customer today read more

Ok. I did have my car checked before I drove 400 miles from Jacksonville, FL. to Mint Hill NC. Honest! Oil and filter changed; tire pressure checked; air and cabin filters changed. So of course, my brake switch had to die once I got to MH. My airbnb hosts recommended Black's Tires. The guys were really great listening to my, rather long, explanation about lights flashing on my dashboard like the Star Ship Enterprise.
