Do not ever give this place your business. Scratched a chrome rim and refused to provide any solution other than a discount on rim polish at their "homies" autozone. Said that they have no tools to repair a rim they scratched and no insurance or policy stating that they cover damages done to other peoples property! They even had the audacity to suggest that I had done it on the way home! Store is ran by uneducated delinquents who assume that you are just as slow. I took my car in thinking I had brake issues. They told me I needed brake fluid. The first time they fixed it I had no brakes at all. The second time they added the fluid again and drove my car around the block to bleed out the bubbles? Whoever the driver was, was short and pulled my seat up and broke the seat adjuster button and they refuse to fix or pay for it. He was nice enough to leave the broken button in my cup holder. It cost me $700 to have it repaired. Not only that but they charged me $1,200 for fluids for my 92,000 mile checkup when I didn't have 92,000 miles on the car. $1,200 for fluids? I want my $700. Poor customer service even from the regional manager. Rude and didn't call me back when he said he would. read more

After about 15 minutes he came back and told me what was wrong with it. I called before hand to get a possible price of what I thought the issue was and he told me it was that price which is reasonable. So....two months ago I had the misfortune of getting a flat tire and needing an immediate replacement. Though I live in Raleigh, I was in Charlotte & came upon Goodyear via yelp. I needed my new tire before I could drive back to Raleigh (can't be driving 150 miles when your tire is at 9 psi!) For their regular Goodyear tire, i was quoted $450. They told me this was the only option -- there weren't any cheaper ones available -- so i went along with it. Fast forward to today and I'm getting my car serviced. I need another tire replaced for unrelated reasons, and the auto repair person remarks that I could choose to get the same Goodyear tire, or stick with the tires my Mercedes came with (Pirelli tires). The pirellis are a bit more expensive and would cost $240, but the Goodyear would be cheaper. Imagine my shock! When I told this auto repair person that I paid $450 for that single Goodyear tire, their jaw literally dropped. So...it's very clear Goodyear ripped me off. I cannot recommend this place given their dishonest business practices and would advise that everybody double-check their pricing before paying. read more

I like this location very much. It's extremely clean and friendly store. Love that it's down the street from me. The one skinny manager, Jamie I believe, knows his stuff. He always helps you out. His staff is very friendly and knowledgeable. Jamie is the guy to see if your vehicle needs any work. My fiancée has a flat and the fixed it right up. Got an oil change done there as well and they went out of their way to point out that one of the tires had an issue. The only down side to this place is that I get the distinct impression that one of his people is a bit of jerk. I want to say his name is James. He's a heavier set white bald guy. My car had a flat tire today (Sunday). :( Was able to put on spare and came to Goodyear (with no appt). I was SO happy with the service I received!! Man at front desk was friendly and very good at communicating wait times, cost and details on what they would do to fix my tire. The amount of time I waited was within the promised wait time. Waiting room was clean, had TV/amenities, etc. Price of fix was very fair. Best of all, they are open on Sundays!! I do not have extensive knowledge of cars so it is important that I employ a mechanic that I can trust will not take advantage of me. I took my car to Goodyear because every time I turned on the AC I could hear a loud noise outside of the car. I spoke with the assistant service manager, Corey Nash. After describing the issue to him, he immediately tells me that it is the AC blower motor that's making the noise and it would need to be replaced. I agreed and paid $180 to have it replaced. The next day I get a message from Corey saying the motor has been replaced and the noise had stopped. After picking up my car, I turned on the AC and the noise started again immediately. Not only that but now there is a humming inside of the car caused by the new AC blower motor that Goodyear installed. I called the shop and spoke with the store manager, Jamie Elswick, who told me to bring the car back in and he would take a look at it. I did just that. After Jamie hears the noises he tells me that the noise outside of the car is my AC compressor and it would cost another $1000 to fix. He then tells me that the hum inside of the car may be due to the fact that the AC blower motor is new. He says that the motor has a 24,000-mile warranty so if it doesn't quite down before then bring it back in and he'll look at it again. I asked him why Cory replaced the blower motor when it was the compressor that needed work and never received a straight answer. So now I have paid the better part of $200 for a blower motor that I didn't need. I'm still dealing with my original issue, which is the noise caused by the AC compressor. And I have to ride around with a humming in my car for the next 24,000 miles before I can fix the new issue of the blower motor that I didn't even need in the first place. This is by far the most frustrating experience I've ever had with a mechanic. If you are like me, and need a mechanic that you can trust, do not go to this Goodyear. They will take advantage of you. read more

These guys saved my life! I recently got my oil changed and tires rotated at another shop (first mistake) and the next day my car started making a strange noise. I thought maybe they'd messed with my wheel weights...? The noise starting getting worse and the car started to shake, so I stopped at Goodyear as they were closing on a Saturday evening. They reopened the garage, put my car on the lift and found that the other shop failed to tighten my lug nuts... The front tire was on the verge of falling off! I have been here on several occasions and these guys are always honest. They have fixed various minor problems on my car at no cost. When they tell you something is wrong with your car, they will walk you out to the vehicle and SHOW you what is wrong. Reasonable wait time and very friendly. Jamie and his crew do excellent work. They always give me a fair price and have in the past not even charged me for some things they could have. They will also not seek to try to get you to pay to fix stuff that doesn't need to be fix. They also have good coupons from time to time via email and will offer multiple prices/packages on some work (alignments). I came to get a second opinion about my brakes. I was told by the dealership they needed to be replaced $240 for the rear and $240 for the front. Problem: my brakes didn't make any noise or cause my car to shudder. And what they didn't account for is me keeping records of all my inspections. According to them my rear brakes went from 7mm to 3.4mm and front from 8mm to 4.5mm in 6 months!! I'm pretty gentle with my car and barely drive 12k miles/year. I came to Goodyear when I saw they replace brakes for a lower price and had great reviews and now I'm so satisfied, I had to add my own. Thank you to Ryan for pointing out the inconsistencies and giving me an accurate recommendation of my brakes. The guy who answers the phone and works the front desk answered all of my questions and had a great attitude. I'll be back here for my car maintenance and repairs from now on! read more

Stay away! They don't care about your car just your money. They allowed my brake assembly to hang by the brake hose. They don't torque any bolts properly; just impact 'em down. I checked my axle nut a few days after having them replace a wheel bearing and their couldn't have been more than 70-80ft-lbs on it (spec is 140). Maybe they're hoping the bearing will fail so I can have them do it again. While in the waiting area I heard them quote some lady $95 just to check an engine light....you can have those checked for free at any autoparts stores. This is just highway robbery and taking advantage of people that don't know better. read more

I went in for an oil change and tire rotation knowing I may need 2 new tires. The 2 Goodyear tires I had on the car were replaced not even 6 months ago. I was told that I needed not 2 but 4 new tires. There was no way 6 month old tires with 6k miles needed replacing so I went with the 2 . When I went to pay the bill, I noticed the tire size on the bill 225/55 was not the size on my car 225/45 so before paying I went out to take a look. When I asked why the manager said he had fixed the error in the computer but never printed a new bill. So if I had not noticed I would have been shafted and would have paid for a more expensive tire that I didn't get. He then went in, changed it and printed the updated, less expensive receipt.
