DO NOT GO HERE. We took a vehicle in as there were issues starting it, and screeching on the brakes. Lo and behold, they told us there were no problems and we were free to pick it up. We came to pick it up, and the car wouldn't start, and several other lights were on. We went to tell the people inside when we were told they couldn't help us because their services were complete. Talked to TWO people for a diagnostic on my car. They made an appointment . For the diagnostic!! Told them it was under warranty and they got the information. Told them exactly what was happening with the car. Told them it even has a new battery. He said he made a note that the battery was brand new! They we called again this morning same thing. The car was towed 20+ miles to it and they rejected it. Saying they don't do that. Called us liars. Ok, so now we had to pay even more money to go to the other place. That is bull crap! You people are liars and you should get your stuff straight! If your people don't know what's happening then get new people! We are not rich people and don't tow our care for fun! We towed there because of what you said, you had the information and told us you would diagnose it and talk to our warranty company! You should be the ones paying the extra money for the tow but no!! My daughter took her car there before we head off to college and needed and oil change and alignment. I had bought the "lifetime" alignment years ago so it should have been free. Most places can look up your phone number or license plate and see those records. Well she got home and said they had charged her for a lifetime alignment. To make matters worse it is the 3rd time we have been there where they did not reset the service indicator. Two of the times, the techs had to go and google it. That instills a lot of confidence. So I called and the person at the counter (who helped my daughter) basically said he had no idea of what to do so he passed me on to the manager. The manager got on the call on me and basically said it was my daughter's fault for not saying that we have a lifetime alignment already. As I started to argue, he says "don't get all up in arms about it". So finally he looked up the records and said yes, you do have a lifetime alignment on that car. So I asked for them to refund her money. She used a Firestone credit card to pay for it. He said she will need to come back in and present the card AND have her social security number with her! They were able to charge her card with just a phone number and name, but cannot do the same for a refund? In all fairness, they called 10 minutes later and said they were able to process the refund, but my question is, why ask for that? Who has trained these employees? Sadly this is just another instance of a shop trying to take advantage of a customer who they think doesn't know or won't say anything. I used to love going there as it is close, but the service has gone down hill and they seem to not know what they are doing (service lights). Other shops can pull the license plate or your phone number and see the records from previous trips to their shops. I have no idea why they couldn't do that and if I hadn't called, they would have never known or seen it. We would have been out well over $150.00. To All concerned I have been a customer there for 3 years. Two weeks ago I brought my car in for a oil change. And had asked the Service Manger to put my keys under the back seat floor Mat. And he said no problem. And I told him I would be there 15 mins after he closed. The Manager said "No Problem " When I had gotten there The door was Locked. I told the Manager I did not have another key. He Said "No Problem" The manger said "just leave the car there another day. So I did. (And no way of getting to work the following day I may add. Lost of pay for that day lost) When I return the following day to pick up the Car, they gave me the key. The next morning I was getting into the car and notice that the door does not close right and the door was totally Bent. And the frame of the the passenger door was dented and scratched. I called the Service Manger and he was very apologetic. He had said we would make it right Don't worry. So I brought the car back and Now spoke the the General Manager of the store. A Female. I did not get her name. She had said that's what happens when you try getting in. All she did is make excuses. At that time no apologies at all and she said we are not a Body Shop. ( That's what it will need to fix) She still says no apologies. I told her that the Service Manger said " They Would take care of it and don't worry. He was very apologetic. After about 15 Minutes the General Manger (Female) She said "leave it and she with see what she could do." Still no apologies. The Manager said leave the car for a day and She would see what she could do. So I put the key on the counter and now she says come in another day, she could not do it done because it was Friday. Come back on Monday and leave the car. By the way I was there at 8:00 am when they opened so they would have enough time to address the damage. And lost of wages another day because that is my only car. And she than said maybe a day or two. More lost wages. Who ever is looking for a place to damage your car go there. Wish I had read the reviews first. Went here once before and it was OK. I won't be back. Took the truck in yesterday for a slow leak in the tire. Was told it would be done that day. Went to pick it up at closing...they hadn't started it. Told it would be done first thing the next morning. Almost 2 hours after they opened, they hadn't started on it. Then they found the leak, said it had been repaired before but now they couldn't repair it. Wasted a lot of time. This took them about 10 minutes. I took my vehicle here for a state inspection and won't be back. My vehicle was failed on the safety inspection on the steering mechanism. The specific cause of the failure was a worn serpentine belt which the tech told me effects the steering mechanism. The NC laws state the following (only the regulation concerning my vehicles case is included): -183.3. Scope of safety inspection and emissions inspection. (a) Safety. - A safety inspection of a motor vehicle consists of an inspection of the following equipment to determine if the vehicle has the equipment required by Part 9 of Article 3 of this Chapter and if the equipment is in a safe operating condition: (4) Steering mechanism, as required by G.S. 20-123.1. If you refer to GS 20-123.1 it reads, "Steering mechanism. The steering mechanism of every self-propelled motor vehicle operated on the highway shall be maintained in good working order, sufficient to enable the operator to control the vehicle's movements and to maneuver it safely. (1957, c. 1038, s. 3.)". I will admit the belt was worn, but not yet unsafe and I feel that it met The requirement of GS 20-123.1 as it was in working order and allowed me to maneuver the vehicle safely. I really feel that I was failed on the belt in hopes that I would get the repair work done there. The out the door price I was quoted to replace the serpentine belt was $226.27 (see price breakdown below) Belt: $78.99 Remove and replace power steering pump: 39.60 A/C interfered add $26.40 A/P interferes add $26.40 Alternator interferes add $26.40 ........ Total parts: 85.24 Labor $118.80 Subtotal $204.04 Shop supplies: $8.32 Tax: $13.91 Total: $226.27 I went to autozone and bought a belt for $33.62 and installed it in around 20 minutes. Nothing had to be removed to replace the belt so I'm not sure why they were going to charge me labor on removing and replacing the power steering pump. After completing the repair and taking it back up there the same afternoon, the vehicle passed inspection. To sum up, I don't feel that they should have failed me and only did so in hopes that I would pay a ridiculous price to get the belt changed there. Also, I am not completely sure that they can fail you for a worn serpentine belt (I will be looking into this further). Just be careful here, it may be worth getting a price quote here and check other shops as well if your vehicle should require any type of repair. I will end this review by saying that everyone I interacted with was very nice and polite. read more

This location has been plagued with issues since it opened. I once back in 2005 had to take my concerns to the CEO. And he did reply through the companies lawyer! And my concerns were fixed!. :). But the turn over rate at this location is beyond belief. You will never meet the same manager or mechanics. I have taken my car here several times, and this will be the last ever since the girl manager left this place has turned to shit. I was helped by antone on Monday. I needed a new tire, and while I was there, I got an oil change, and they informed me that I needed new wipers. So I said, "Go ahead." They had my car all day, and then when I called to find out how much longer they told me, they were waiting on my tire to come in. When they finally got the tire on and started working on wipers, they broke off the rear windshield wiper. They told me Kia did not have in stock and that it would take a couple of days to get. I called on Thursday and still not there. So I called on Monday and they said they were waiting on kia. So out of curiosity, I called the closest kia, and they said they had plenty in stock. So I called antone at firestone and asked him which kia and he told me it was in Monroe the same one I called. I told him that I had plenty in stock. Then he said I called to find out where your wiper is, and they sent it to Belmont, and they should have it by the end of the day, which did not happen. So I called first thing in the tuesday morning and still no wiper and then again 1:30 and guess what the wiper had been there for 30 minutes, and he said he was too busy to call. I am 3 minutes from firestone. When I got there, there was no one there. They put on my wiper, and I walked and spoke with Antone about a credit for the inconvenience of my 8-day wait, and he said I cant give you a credit but I can give you a coupon for your next visit. I said I will never come here again, and I will let my entire neighborhood know since we have a community blog and reach out to corporate for your lack of customer care. read more

Last Sunday I dropped off my car as I do every month for an oil change & tire rotation. I drive about 4000 miles a month, I always check my dip stick after the oil change mainly because an oil change at Walmart failed to put it the correct amount. Sometimes when I check I wonder if the even changed my oil or filter, so I started to mark my filter and wheels with a black marker. I found that this location didn't rotate my tires yet charge $20, when I questioned the manager it turn out bad and I just left and won't be back. Liars & Cheats, stay away from this group. Let me first state I have a 2013 Subaru which I always take to the dealership for service. I only stopped into this Firestone to get a State Inspection I wouldn't have trusted them to service my vehicle anyways but I was pretty confident that it would pass considering how little I drive the car and how new the vehicle is. This car only has 27k miles on it. This particular Firestone suspiciously failed my car stating I needed new tires. The suspicious part is that all they push there is tires as much as possible they are more a tire shop than anything else. Crooked State Inspectors here failed my 2013 Subaru WRX stating it needed new tires. The inspector should have his state inspector license revoked and the manager that let this happen should be fired. I vouched for a second opinion from my dealer without telling my dealer the results of the Firestone inspection. My car passed on the first attempt through the dealer. My dealer did do a tire rotation as a part of my regular service since I was due for one. They did not see any issues with my car while Firestone had written up about 1500 dollars in "Recommended Services" that they thought should be done to my car. Would avoid this place at all costs.
