I wanted to wait awhile before writing this review because of my unique experience with Christian…read moreBrothers. It started about 2 months ago when my engine seized and I was stuck at the Infiniti dealership in Charlotte. They told me it would cost approximately $18,000.00 for a new engine and my heart dropped. I asked Infiniti who would they recommend to do an engine replacement and they said Christian Brothers. I called Christian Brothers and spoke with Logan, he was able to give me some good information on my situation and based on our conversation, I decided to have my vehicle brought to t he eir shop. Logan was able to confirm what Infiniti told me and offered several options on how to move forward. He was in constant contact with me every step of the process of replacing my engine. However, come to find out that not only did I need to replace my engine but also the transmission because it was damaged due to the seized engine. It was news that I hated to hear yet I did trust that Logan was being honest with me and he did work with me on the price. Also, other issues came up with the repair but instead of charging me for certain repairs, they decided to take care of the cost. When I finally received my vehicle back, there was some other issues that came up and when I called Logan, he was responsive and had the issues resolved at no charge to me. Overall, having my engine seize up and then my transmission being damaged was a very difficult experience and hearing bad news after bad news didn't help, however I trusted Logan and I trusted the previous reviews I read. Overall, this experience was very good and I would definitely recommend Christian Brothers for auto repairs.

I want to give praise to Chris and the rest of this team at Blacks Tire. They have by far the best…read moreservice and pricing in Union County. Living in Marvin, I'm used to getting ripped off by the brand name tire stores lining the Waxhaw Marvin / Providence Rd route. Most of them can't even road force balance tires, but Black's can. For brakes on my Nissan Titan, they offered the NAPA silentguard and installed them for $209 out the door. Every other tire shop closer to me wants $450+ for the same job, telling you how much they are marking up their labor. Hell, even the dealer was going to charge me $329, and I was shocked that it was less than the other shops but at least there, I expect the Dealer to rip me off. If you live in Waxhaw/Marvin and need tires and service for your vehicle, I am telling you to drive the extra 20 minutes and get down to Monroe and see these guys. They are nice, honest, and really quality work. Also have a well equipped waiting room with WIFI so it's easy to work while I get my car serviced. Thanks team - you guys are the best local pros!

I went to Jiffy Lube today to get a quick oil change. Once they pulled my SUV in, one guy came…read moreover almost immediately and told me my oil plug was too tight and they couldn't get it out. I explained to him that they were the last ones to change my oil so if in fact my plug was over tightened, they were the responsible party. Then another guy came out and told me it was a new protocol that they were not allowed to remove metal plugs from plastic pans and I should go take it up with Dodge. Obviously that comment was unnecessary but regardless is it a protocol change or is my plug too tight? Which lie am I supposed to fall for exactly? I went down the street to Strickland Brothers and let them know about the situation at Jiffy Lube and that my oil plug may be too tight to safely remove. They checked for me and turns out my oil plug wasn't tight at all. It took zero effort to remove it. The mechanic there said it was easier to remove than the last 5 cars he had done today. This leaves me thinking that either the guys working at Jiffy Lube are either incompetent, lazy, or maybe just thought because I'm a woman I don't know how a car works. Either way I will never be returning to a Jiffy Lube for any service. I will also be recommending to all the ladies and fellow Mopar owners I know that they also move their business over to Strickland Brothers since apparently Jiffy Lube has a protocol against working on Dodge vehicles. Unfortunately for the guys at Jiffy Lube I am a woman that knows exactly how my car works and Im a woman that is also very active in the car community as a whole so this little stunt today whatever the reason was not wise and may have a little more of an impact than just one pissed off lady.
