I wanted to eat every item on the menu and had to limit myself so now I have to return at least 3 to 4 more times to order everything I would love to try. See my comments about the photos because that'll let you know just how delicious everything is. I also had the crab ravioli, and that was out of this world and then the rabbit pasta dish was also quite tasty if you like that kind of game (not pictured). My mocktail was refreshing & the decaf coffee with dessert was the best decaf I remember having. The restaurant was packed even at early dinner and by the time we left, there was a line out the door. I don't see that very often anymore and I can see why they are going so strong right now. Great atmosphere, upbeat music pulsing in the background. People come here to celebrate and I got to sit beside people having an anniversary. It is so cheerful because everybody knows they're going to eat something delicious and they are right.

Service started out well but felt increasingly scripted and impersonal as the evening went on. Our server seemed knowledgeable about menu availability but offered little in the way of specials, recommendations, or genuine guidance, and rarely checked on us once the food arrived. The timing was surprisingly disjointed. Our bruschetta arrived before either of our drinks, my wine came well before his cocktail, and the sides arrived well after the main dishes. Menus were left on the table, too. The food runners were good and silverware changes were handled properly, but the overall service lacked the coordination and attentiveness you'd expect. The food had some highlights: the bruschetta was delicious, the gnocchi with cauliflower and orange was excellent and fresh, and the sweet potatoes were very good. Unfortunately, the cavatelli with rabbit sugo fell flat and lacked flavor. Even the atmosphere felt a little contrived. The prominent black-and-white photo of Johnny Cash and Waylon Jennings seemed disconnected from the otherwise bare walls, rather than part of a thoughtfully curated space. Combined with the scripted service and lack of genuine engagement, the overall impression was almost "this is what we think a great restaurant should look and feel like," rather than an experience that felt natural, welcoming, or particularly memorable. We'd enjoyed a few cocktails before arriving, thinking dinner would be the highlight of the night, but it never quite delivered. For a restaurant with such a strong reputation and the wait times to match, I expected more polished timing, thoughtful recommendations, and genuine hospitality. At around $160, the experience felt overpriced for what we received. In retrospect, neighboring spots like Parlor and Butcher & the Boar lived up to the hype more.

She's so attentive and personable, definitely ask for her if you want a great dining experience! The restaurant is nicely decorated and sectioned so you always feel like you have your own little space in the restaurant. Their menu isn't huge, but they do a great job with the items they have. Their must-tries are the shrimp scampi (especially if you like it a bit more lemon-y). I also tried their spicy lobster pasta, which was a restaurant week special that I'll be back for again. Lastly, the chicken parm is fantastic! They do it so well, and it even tastes good the next day if you can't finish it. Portion sizes are huge so you're bound to be full after. I'll definitely be back again next week.

I'm not a big pasta person, but I could always go for pizza so we ended up trying a variety of items. We tried the cheese puffs and chicken wings from the happy hour menu. It went until 6pm and you can only order these items from that HH menu. Additionally we tried the wedge salad, and the hearth and honey pizza. It really intrigued me with the rosemary flavor. The waitress was training a new member and both of them were very nice and accommodating. They confirmed my curiosity on our pizza selection and they were not wrong. I'm a huge wing fan, but I'd say the wings themselves were over spiced - we both thought too much seasoning was used. The cheese puffs were really good, but I was hoping for more of a garlic cheese flavor. The pizza was 10/10 and that is the item that would get me to come back. Wedge salad not pictured as I dove right in. It was interesting - it was loaded with a lot of unknown flavors.

I love the pink and green, and the place settings are gorgeous. Bonus: the team is super fast with clearing and bringing replacements so you always have a clean plate. Add in huge windows that brings in tons of light, and you have one of the most photogenic eateries in town. Dario's beverage menu is wonderful, and I especially want to draw attention to their extensive selection of non-alcoholic options. In addition to house-made sodas and creative cocktails, they have a wonderful list of dealcoholized wines--awesome news for anyone who is looking for a zero proof drink. As for the food, Dario knocks it out of the park with a menu that offers options for all tastes. The menu is designed to share, and the variety ensures that there will be something for everyone. The first two dishes that ai sampled were the Gem Lettuces, which our server described as "a Caesar salad on steroids" and the Morel Mushrooms. The Gem Lettuces were delicious--the zippy vinaigrette was better than any Caesar I have had before, the cheese was a fluffy, savory, and salty delight, and the puffed farro was a pleasing alternative to the usual croutons. Bonus: it's fish-free! I'd say that it's less a Caesar salad on steroids and more what happens when the Caesar salad next door goes off to college and has a glow-up. The morels were served on polenta and complemented with Madeira and tarragon. They came with a confit egg yolk. The presentation was strikingly beautiful, and the flavors pure and harmonious. The morels were cooked perfectly and went beautifully with the wine and tarragon--it was a great dish for spring, and everyone enjoyed the layers of texture and flavor. For our pasta choices, we had the English Pea Triangoli that Lu recommended (thanks Lu!) and the doppio. It's easy to see why Dario is known for its pasta--these dishes were amazing. The English Pea Triangoli was otherworldly: sweet peas, snap peas, onions, mint, and pea sprouts come together with butter to make a nostalgic little bite of heaven. It tastes like spring. Sicilian pistachios add crunch and another layer of sweet and salt, and the lightly steamed vegetables and fresh pea shoots and mint also added layers of texture and freshness. Positively superlative. The Doppio was also gorgeous: one side is filled with ricotta and the other sunchoke. Honey adds sweetness and the hazelnuts toastiness reminiscent of browned butter. The rosemary complemented it all. For my dessert, I had the Earl Gray tea cake. It had a very pleasing crumb and subtle sweetness, and the lemon whipped cream was the perfect accompaniment. The sprinkle of toffee cookie added a lovely caramelized crunch, and the bright acidity of the rhubarb was preserved, making for a juicy and refreshing burst of flavor in every bite. Splendid! Thanks to Dario for a wonderful evening!

We all slept through first pitch, but that didn't stop us from ordering combo platters of shots and beers. Three hours of baseball and day-drinking can take a toll on a man, so Matthieu proposed an after-party at his favorite eatery, Red Rabbit. The hostess seemed surprised when three guys in full baseball regalia requested a lunch table, but she welcomed us and honored our request to sit far from any families or members of the clergy. Matthieu came out swinging suggesting a hard-to-find AleSmith Nut Brown Ale. He paired it with the Burrata Grilled Toast, topped with micro basil, pesto, and roasted tomatoes. The toast inspired such devotion that we divided the final piece into thirds like diplomats negotiating a peace treaty. Some Minneapolitan-Neapolitan cultural exchange was clearly at work in the Garlic Bread Cheese Curds. This layered appetizer starts crunchy, turns puffy, and finishes with the curds' satisfying squeak. It needed marinara about as much as Joe Mauer needed Justin Morneau, but the sauce still improved the experience. Before you alert the pizza police, PB&J Pizza stands for pineapple, bacon, and jalapeño. This Hawaiian-adjacent combination hits close to home because it mirrors my preferred PP&J: pineapple, pepperoni, and jalapeño. I may have to add it as a favorite in the Papa John's app. The Vodka Rigatoni with Meatballs arrived creamy and light on the Calabrian chili. I would have added Italian sausage for more punch. Still, JJ had only recently graduated from tri-color Bomb Pops to gelato, so the milder approach probably suited him. He cleared his plate, which settled the argument. Then things started to slide. Our server, whose identity I'll protect, was mostly professional and attentive but sometimes appeared overwhelmed. Trouble began with the Cheese & Salami Board. When he tried to upsell me to the large, I naturally asked which cheeses and salamis it included. "Um... salami from Italy, cheese, nuts, olives, and chocolate," he replied. I skipped the CliffsNotes and moved on. I wasn't spending nearly $40 on mystery salami, bar nuts, and another serving of burrata. Every dish up to that point had cleared the fence, so we expected another home run from the Chicken Parmesan. Unfortunately, it arrived soggy, as though someone had forgotten it under the broiler. Only the edges that escaped the cheese and sauce remained crispy. While my buddies mauled the accompanying Bucatini Alfredo, I ordered a Gluek's gluten-free Cream Ale. The first sip made me wince. JJ, who has watched me enjoy tablespoon-sized bumps of Sevruga caviar, immediately noticed. He took a sip and responded with a tongue-scraping motion. Not one to be left out, Matthieu sampled it and reported, "I see where all the discontinued pennies went: into making this beer." I flagged our server, who carried the beer to the bartender, who sniffed it, inspected its color, then poured a comparison taste of Metal High Life from the draft. He declared the Gluek palatable, and sent the verdict back through our server. I didn't care if the President of the American Brewers Guild had personally pinned a gold medal on it. The beer tasted like a fistful of loose change, and no diner should need expert testimony to prove that. Seeking a palate cleanser, we ordered the Spritz Tree, or flight, featuring Campari, Hugo, Midnight, Watermelon, and Tequi... "THAT'S FIVE!" the server snapped. We responded with three raised eyebrows. Fine. The deal included four spritzes for $50, not five for $40. Maybe I had developed late-onset dyslexia. Maybe the $2 Twins Pils from earlier had finally entered the lineup. After that frosty exchange, our server kept circling the table to ask whether we needed anything else. You couldn't have fit a toothpick among the plates and pours, so I interpreted the check-ins as a not-so-subtle suggestion that we continue our Minneapolis mayhem elsewhere. Waiter fatigue aside, Red Rabbit delivers playful food, inventive cocktails, and enough Twin Cities character to warrant a return visit. We left without conquering as much of the menu as I had hoped, but that gives me a solid reason to come back.

Before the change of ownership I thought ie was okay at best. But they have kept some of the classics and nailed some new items. We started with the Melons and Speck and I loved this as a starter. Not too heavy but I love the flavor combinations. The sweet, fresh melons with salty speck and pickled shallots topped with the honey vinegar is all so delicious. It is savory with a little bit of refreshing. Went to a Pasta Fresca dish and I am still dreaming about it. The Agnolotti is sooo good! Little stuffed pasta pillows deliciously filled with a carrot filling that is rich and creamy. The filling is almost savory, which completely changes what you think when you hear carrot filling. Get this dish! Ended with dessert and ordered the Tiramisu. A little disappointed with this dish. A little bland with too much bitterness from the espresso and wished it were a little sweeter. I don't like a super sweet Tiramisu but it is dessert so it should be a bit in the sweet side. No changes to the interior of the space. Still the warm and inviting space it has always been. Love it! I wish the service would have been better. Long wait for the drinks. At one point we stopped eating because we had been waiting so long for our drinks. When my friend and I walked in, we came into a fairly spacious dimly lit space with loads of people inside. We were immediately informed that there would be over 1.5hr wait for a walk-in table. We were given the option to wait for bar seating as it would probably be quicker - and surely, it was. We did have to wait quite a bit, but it was a tolerable amount of time and definitely less than what it would have taken for an actual table. My friend and I decided to share 2 pizza pies as we wanted to get a taste of two different flavors, so we eventually settled on Korean BBQ & Perfect Pickle Pie. KOREAN BBQ As it was created by a Korean chef, it definitely had true authentic Korean flavors. As a Korean myself, I was very familiar with this soy vinaigrette and have tried this on many salad before - so, it was hitting home for me. Also, you can't go wrong with the bulgogi/beef short ribs known to all those who had Korean BBQ before. The combination of the sauces that they use for this pizza is definitely very rich, full of umami. I personally enjoyed it. PERFECT PICKLE PIE This pie was a totally different flavor to the Korean BBQ. It's less rich and maybe can be overpowered or considered more bland compared to other pizza flavors. But when tried together with the BBQ, it balances out the richness of the BBQ with the more subtle/less umami flavors. This pie gives more of a tangy/sour taste that pickles provide and more of a crunch due to the chips that are added on top. The dill is present, but not overpowering. It's a nice low-key kind of taste that people who like pickles will enjoy. Overall, the flavors were very rich in every pizza pie that we had that our mouths were bursting with flavor. It was definitely the most unique pizza toppings that I've had and can see why it's so highly regarded. I can tell that they really are meticulous with their every process and that their pizza guy by the wood fire oven is expertise in what he does. My friend and I walked out quite satisfied and I was honestly more full than I expected.
