Bob was highly recommended to us by a local Carpentry Company owner. Bob called me back within hours and he made time to see me within days to look at the project on a Saturday morning. Got a quote on the spot after a thorough explanation of the services offered and the pricing structures. We received follow up quickly when the materials were ordered and a timeframe for him to receive them. The project involved a very nice shower that was added to a bedroom closet for lack of other options as we gave an ailing family member two of our three bedrooms. The shower area was a combination of tile, a Corian rail and seat and the glass doors, grab bars and fixtures. The previous work was a combination for grout and calking that did not last to long and Bob called me with midstream recommendations that I accepted and was glad I did. During the job my wife asked Bob questions about another area of the house and granite care issues we had been having for years and he was happy to explain what the cause of the issues were and how to correct them if we want to try doing it ourselves. Bob also corrected some sealer problems that we had on the tiled floor shower area and did not charge us extra for that. The shower looks better than new and it looks so good we will be inviting Bob back to help with a whirlpool tub and shower re-grouting in the real bathroom adjacent to the shower in a closet. We recommend Bob with no reservations and hope this review helps others in their search for a highly skilled courteous and professional expert in his field Alfred and Mary Plymouth MA

Mike built and installed a custom vanity for us (photos attached). We have a very small bathroom…read moreand the available styles and sizes of vanities at Home Depot didn't match what we wanted, so I reached out to Mike, he came over to take a look, and provided a quote for the work. Building a custom vanity was a little more expensive, but we got so much more for what we paid. I selected Mike in part because when he came to look at the configuration of my existing vanity and plumbing, he had a clearer vision that he articulated for how he could build and install the vanity, and what the options were given the positioning of the plumbing. The other contractors I had come and look didn't mention the relationship between the dimensions of the drawers and open space and the existing plumbing in the wall. We also asked Mike if it would be possible to build a pull out step under the vanity that our 1.5 year old daughter could use to step up and use the sink (probably when she gets to be 2 years old or so). He explained his vision for that and it was perfect. Mike also built the style of the doors and drawers to match a style we had seen, and as you'll see in the pictures, it looks amazing. Mike was super easy to work with, very responsive, and provided a documented design spec that he sent to me for approval (which we made a few tweaks to). He delivered the piece on time and was flexible with his schedule in matching to mine to install it. He expected half of the price of the piece as a down payment, very reasonable, and received the rest upon delivery and installation. I ordered the vanity top custom from home depot and I selected the handles I wanted Mike to install. He used the top to ensure that the piece he built would conform to fit. I also ordered the tread for the step after brainstorming ideas with Mike. I personally removed the old vanity and disconnected the old plumbing, but that could be done by a plumber as well. Mike installed the new vanity against the wall, and I had my plumber connect the plumbing to the new faucet we bought after Mike had left. Overall, I can't recommend Mike highly enough. He is professional, creative, responsible, and I can tell he takes pride in his work. Thank you Mike, we are already enjoying the transformation to our bathroom that you helped make possible!

The quality is much better than the semi-custom made-to-order delivery options. He prefers to deliver and work closer to his place so he can do measurements himself. I'd use him again!

When things came up along the way Paul never seemed to get frustrated, and found solutions to the issues. Great Initial Work - But Refused to Finish the Job…read more Finishing Touch has a very talented crew - really impressive work. Unfortunately, as they seemed rushed to get to other jobs, entire sides of our house were left w/o the 2nd (as contracted) coat of stain. The differences between fully finished sides and the single coat walls are obvious - friends & neighbors consistently point out that the painters "missed a lot"... When we contacted the owner, Dave Depillo, he insisted they had done the 2nd coats. He even claimed the sides above the garage had 3 coats. He'd actually originally made that claim to me the first and only time he was up there. I called to discuss it and have him come meet me to look it over. He arrived earlier than arranged, met my wife instead and proceed to YELL at her about the issue - screaming about saving us money over another estimate. Honestly, we'd rather pay more to have a completed project. A neighbor later mentioned a shouting match Depillo had started when he painted their house a few years back. Also noticed a yelling complaint on the company's Facebook page. Seems to be a pattern with the owner. Lastly, I was just putting up new exterior lights and spotted something on one of the shingles (painted by the owner himself). I looked close and found it had been BROKEN - then TAPED with blue painter's tape and painted over. Funny that a guy can insist on charging $200 to paint shutters (Aren't they part of the house?), break one and then use the cheapest materials to "fix" it and hide the damage. Too bad it turned out this way - the crew were truly talented and conscientious (apart from all the cigarette butts in the yard..) But if they're rushed off one job to do another then the company really can't be recommended.
