We had the same experience as some other posts. We worked with the ladies at the front of the…read morehouse. We decided on flooring but they needed to send someone to check the subfloor etc. The (I believe owner came out), and started whining how the subfloor was not ready and there would be extra cost. Our builder was there and I was away on business. My wife called me and I had to step out of a function to talk to this guy. I told him we would take care of the subfloor to meet his specs. I spoke to my contractor and within an hour we had a plan. The unprofessional behavior was uncalled for and in the end, when they came out to tile, the subfloor was perfect. I won't use this place again.

The owner's attitude encouraged me to write this review…read more There is a lot to like. The sales people are pretty good and the product is pretty good. The price is probably middle to high. The office staff were good to work with, and the crew showed up on time. They were as good as I could hope. This was an important job to me, and they were helpful in many ways. They were all likable and friendly people until things went poorly. Then, it *was* done correctly, to spec, as you no doubt told them, and that is how it is just going to be, sir. (except they don't say sir). A couple of things to look out for. they use contractors, not employees to install the floor. more availability, less responsibility. they drop off the floor partly because they are not installing the floor, a contractor is. The quote was slightly padded. First check what needs to be done, there might be stuff on the quote that is just padding. Afterwards, check what was supposed to be done was done. Get another quote. So, you might go elsewhere. The front end is good, but the back end (final floor) is not ideal but probably an average job. An average floor might be good enough for you. It will have to be good enough for me. I will look down on this floor and Peck's work for a long time.

The job came out great. All around professional company. I had called other companies and didn't even get a return phone call, so I was very impressed with Fabio Tile!

Job: tile average size room, and entry mud room with closets and 2 steps…read morePrice: average, I got 2 estimates and they were essentially the same Communication: the estimator person was professional and communicated well with some good suggestions, but otherwise----poor (installer did not speak a word of English, so we could not ask him any questions, even regarding the days he will be working); we were not regularly informed which days and times worker will be arriving; at the end of the job, we just got a bill with no visit to check on the quality of the work or our satisfaction of the job Also, they did not calculate correctly the number of tiles I needed to purchase. I had to email them twice to explain their miscalculation because of the number of steps we had. Even with their new calculation, with the extra 10%, there were barely enough tiles, absolutely none left over and they used some scraps to fill in the gaps. Cleanliness: poor (mortar waste was dumped on our front lawn, so I had to hose off the grass to get the white powder/stuff off the grass; small splatters of mortar left on our walls, and mortar left on hardwood floor bordering the tiles); stack of waste tiles also left on my lawn Quality of work: half ok, half poor (the room was done well, but the mudroom must have been done by another person, and totally amateur job; tiles were unevenly layed, poor planning with steps having small slivers to fill the gap, big gap next to wall, wider than the trim, AND mud room was supposed to have 50% offset of tiles, which was done on the landing but not on the stairs And, in the mudroom, there were clear areas that they missed with the grout between the tiles. When I called them back to show all this, they were honest enough to admit the poor quality, asked what I? wanted to make it look good.... and offered to redo the mudroom (partially, the worst area, or give a partial credit), I had them re do the stairs, which ended up better that before). I would not use this company again.
