Dream House Services has been our go-to contractor for years because the quality, reliability, and creativity is unmatched. Khanh and his team consistently do an amazing job providing a finished project that meets or exceeds our expectations, all while protecting and respecting our property. Khanh is the only contractor I trust to not only accomplish my vision (in detail and meticulously) but also NOT destroy my property in the process. He always makes sure he knows exactly what you're asking for. He confirms he can accomplish it and even suggests modifications to the plan to improve it, to give you the best outcome. The whole team will come to your home and spend a day prepping your space "Dexter" style. He protects everything and anything near or around the work he will do. I've never had a problem with damage to my property with Khanh but I have with EVERY other contractor, no matter the job. In the past, every time we chose to go with someone else because Khanh wasn't available (scheduling), we regretted it! Khanh is a contractor that pays attention to detail, respects you and your property, and gives you exactly what you paid for or more. He's the only professional contractor I will work with for my home. read more

Khanh and his team came in to repair and remediate a kitchen leak / mold issue. He was very prompt and professional with communications. His team took care of the existing space and provided quality work for the kitchen repair (wall, cabinets, counters, minor plumbing). Furthermore, Khanh had great insight and possible solutions to issues that occurred during the re-build. Dream House Services team was clear on their invoices and quick to update or provide context if there were issues or questions. The team was able to work with us on pricing and figuring out ways to re-use or re-purpose existing undamaged parts of the kitchen to keep cost low. Lastly, Khanh and team was able to stick fairly close to schedule even when material delays or additional issues discovered. I would recommend the Dream House Services team for future any future work read more

We hired Khanh and his team a second time (first was to redo the kitchen) to redo the fireplace and add built ins. His work exceeded my expectations. I had a few different inspo pictures and he really brought it all together to bring this to life. He works with you every step of the way and you can tell he cares about making the final product amazing. read more

Khanh and his team did a great job repairing water-damaged hardwood flooring, weather proofing an existing exterior door, and installing a new storm door. Khanh was very responsive and the project was completed very quickly. The project was challenging as only a section of hardwood flooring needed to be replaced. While other contractors I contacted pushed replacing all the flooring, Khanh and his team were able to do a partial replacement for a fraction of the cost. They did a great job matching the new section to the rest of the flooring! read more

We were experiencing two different water leaks in our house and after an unsuccessful and frustrating experience with another contractor, I found Khanh on Yelp and reached out. He responded promptly and was able to come over within a few days to review. What I appreciate most about Khanh is how thorough, detailed, and personable he is in his work. He broke down the problem piece by piece and gave me the full scope of the issue. He believes in doing that and then discussing solutions that work for you. I really appreciated that. Khanh did an excellent job with the repairs we needed for our dormer, chimney, and a few other areas. He was in communication with me the entire time and was honest about his assessments and estimates through the way. He provided me everything I needed, including photo and video, to file an insurance claim. We received a partial reimbursement and I'm thankful for his attention to detail in that regard. I highly recommend Khanh for any projects or repairs you are looking at doing for your home. read more

Khanh arrived 30 minutes early (fine with me!) and after reviewing the work, got right to work. My request was for help with a new garden- putting a border around it and expanding it to extend to the new borders. All I had to do was provide materials. I had originally asked for a fence too but those materials didn't arrive on time. The work was great and done as quickly as he projected it would take- just under 3 hours. He took the materials and put together a nice secure frame and then dug out the rest of the garden. It was difficult to find a landscaper or handyman who would take this job or follow up so I am very grateful that Khahn and Dream House Services took it on. I will use him again. read more

I found Khanh & Dream House Services when searching on Yelp for a general contractor. I had an unusual ask of making a portion of my attic into a playhouse for my kids and others I spoke to weren't interested in taking on the project. From the very beginning, Khanh was quick to respond to my initial inquiry and came over the next day to look at the space (which was over the weekend). He was upfront about costs and when he could start the work. He didn't shy away from the project like others had before him and was even helpful in providing some design direction along the way. Work began quickly and was finished in about a week. I was shocked at how quick and efficient he and the team were. The full project involved custom shelving on one wall, an indoor built-in playhouse, hanging an indoor swing and finishing everything with paint. The work was impeccable and he even repainted one of the benches that had gotten dirty during the job. I would hire him again in a heartbeat! Thank you Khanh and team. Looking forward to working with you again the future! read more

I had Dream Services construct a 1/2 bath in our basement and fully renovate our main bathroom. Both were done with high quality and outstanding workmanship. Khanh takes pride in his work and wants to please the customer. His crew is very friendly and skillful and are well supervised. He needs to be clear and precise as best as possible with his pricing of building material costs as not everything was included in my initial proposal so my final cost was quite a bit higher than anticipated. I will add that there was extra work they did for me with no cost to me. I highly recommend Dream Services for your construction needs. read more

Khanh responded quickly, and did great work. This was worth the price.

TL;DR: fast response, excellent work, will use again! Long version: I wanted a very specific arrangement for floating/hanging shelves placed around a window/love seat in my second bedroom, but I do not have the skill set to successfully execute the vision. Luckily, these guys do. The owner showed responded immediately and showed up that day to give me a really reasonable quote, and he came with a team of two other guys to finish the project the next day. They were fast, executed exactly what I wanted, and they cleaned up afterward. They finished so quickly that I wasn't able to get home before they were done! It was the easiest, most seamless experience I've ever had with a contractor, and I will definitely be using them again. I love my shelves/window seat setup, and I'm really happy with the customer service also. read more

Khahn and Mohammed were the absolute BEST. Honestly, it's hard not to feel like you're being ripped off when you see the prices around Boston for handymen but Khahn gave me a great price for the service he provided. I sent him photos and he promptly told me what was wrong and was honest about the time and effort the task would take. When he arrived he made sure I felt comfortable the whole time which, as a woman at home alone, I really appreciated. I rarely write reviews but for Khahn I had to. He was amazing & I will definitely call whenever I need anything else fixed around the house. read more

Dream House Services just completed renovating my bathroom floor, including removing the old tiling, making the floor level, waterproof, and re-tiling it. They went above and beyond in completing the job so quickly and efficiently, and noticing and fixing additional details I wouldn't have thought of or noticed. Amazing work, I'm so glad to have chosen Dream House Services. read more

Didn't show up for an appointment. He didn't even bother to call or email. Must be too busy to take on new customers.

Dream house services did a fair amount of work for us: 1. Framing and installing a French door 2. Backsplash tile on our entire kitchen 3. Building, framing, and installing a custom French door in a tough spot 4. Putting up drywall and making a nook with a coatrack to close off a room. They were fantastic! At first we just asked for (1) and (4), but after seeing their work we expanded the project. They were very flexible and easy to work with. In addition to making the doors and rooms look fantastic, they had great suggestions to improve our ideas. We flipped the tough French door 180 degrees on their suggestion and it is way better than we originally imagined. There were a number of other places where we had a conversation and they suggested really excellent ideas we used. Overall, fantastic, prompt, and very high quality. Absolutely will work with them again. read more

Don't you love it when you request some work to be done and no one follows up? Quotes promised, but never sent, meetings canceled and never rescheduled, no-shows... all things I have encountered in our search for contractors. I was THRILLED when Khahn arrived for our meeting and sent us a quote WITHIN HOURS! He scheduled the work, completed earlier than planned and tackled other small jobs along the way. Khahn did an amazing job re-tiling our bathroom floor and shower, installing a backsplash in our kitchen and painting our bathroom with added crown molding. HIGHLY recommend Khahn and Dream House Services to anyone looking for a reliable and talented contractor. read more

We moved into a home in late 2020 that had sloping floors (120+ year old Boston home so what do you expect). Knowing we didn't want to level them, we opted to mitigate any future sloping. Khahn made it a point to call out that the everything was in great shape and that any work needed would mostly be cosmetic. Since my basement is dark, old, and unfinished, my wife and I decided to replace some Lally columns that weren't up to code with some that were. Khahn and his team were in and out in less than a day and I couldn't be happier. I'll definitely be using Dream House Services in the future. read more

Would recommend and will definitely use again. We had a few small exterior jobs and were struggling to find someone to take them on. Reached out on a whim and was pleasantly surprised. Khanh and team were extremely responsive, prompt, and did quality work. While they were here we had them take a look at a few other projects for an estimate and will likely use them again for some of those projects! read more

Khanh was punctual, communicative, but more importantly, efficient! He installed a vent hood in our kitchen, backsplash beneath the vent hood, and outlets and recessed lighting in the basement in three days (but really over 8-10 hours over three days). He patiently explained what he was doing and made adjustments when we asked. We not only recommend his service to others but would also use him again for any home improvement projects. Price was comparable to other contractors but we felt we really got our moneys worth. read more

Khanh helped me by installing a bathroom fan and vent. I found him to be extremely reliable arriving exactly when he said he would each time. He is very professional and confirms each appointment the day before. His pricing is very transparent and does not try to upsell. Last, but most importantly, I was very happy with the quality of the work. I am very happy that I hired Khanh for this job and will definitely reach out to him for future work. read more

Our glass shower door started to get more and more difficult to open, to the point where I thought it might shatter if it got any worse. I emailed a few Handyman companies to look at it. Dream House Services responded right away and set up an appointment. Khanh showed up on time (even a little early), looked at the shower door and quickly identified the problem. He fixed the door in a few minutes, and then said there'd be no charge because it was such a fast job. That was unexpected, but appreciated. The whole experience start to finish was pleasant, and Khanh was super nice. I'll definitely call Dream House Services for my next handyman/contracting needs. read more

We've already recommended Khahn to friends and family. We would happily work with him again. He was prompt, reasonably and predictably priced, and did a great job checking in and updating us when small challenges arose throughout our shower rebuild. We were impressed by his thoroughness and attention to detail. It all started as some mold near the edge of our old shower. We got Khahn to diagnose it, and he advised us to do a little comparison shopping before choosing whether to go with him for the final rebuild. He also gave us quotes for repairing the fiberglass shower versus replacing it with tile, and did a great job of helping us to understand the cost. read more

We had a small utility room that needed tile installed. Khahn was very responsive, knowledgeable, and dependable. He was prompt and delivered his services as promised. Khanh is an amazing tradesperson. I'm a retired one, so I recognize talent and professional confidence when I see it! We've had him move walls, lay ceramic tile, re-drywall, install a sink, a toilet, a thru-the-wall a/c, and stuff I'm sure I'm forgetting. Whatever you need done, if, when he sees it, he says he can do it, then he can! And he'll do a really professional job with a great end result. He gives useful advice, has a good eye, solid design sense, and comes with a pocket full of alternative suggestions and ideas. If he thinks there's a better way than what you're thinking, he'll tell you, even if it costs less! Considering what he brings to the table, his pricing is genuinely competetive. He's never a no-call/no-show, and he doesn't leave behind a mess for you to deal with. Ya, the $229 door sweep review seems completely out of character. I gave him a 4-figure check as a deposit two+ weeks ahead. He didn't deposit it until after he got here and dug in. Who does that these days? I was fussier than most of my clients. I was just so shocked that someone came to my house and did all the work with the same care I prided myself for bringing to other people's homes. Bob K., Brockton read more

Khanh came and set up my ac system in 15 minutes! He was very professional and I couldn't believe how quickly he did set up my ac especially for such a reasonable price. Will be using them in the future for sure & will be recommending them to friends. :) read more

Consummately unprofessional. All went well at first. Started adding up beyond agreed price. Installed a $2500 beam without asking me first. Told me what size door to order so I ordered it. Then he had a tantrum when it got here saying it was a "customized door," which it wasn't. Standard door size. Multiple no shows that screwed up my schedule. Won't answer my emails now when I have questions (eg how to use the pump installed in the basement). Worst part: instead of making things right, is just continually defensive and makes excuses for himself. Too bad you can't hire his crew without him in charge, because his crew is great. Leadership will give you a headache guaranteed. I initially took down this review because I figured, let it be on his karma and not mine. But I was really worried before this most recent potential hurricane about how do use the pump I never received a response. No business should take more than two business days to respond ever. So now I am 100% fed up and this review goes back up. read more

The approach that Khanh and his team took from the quote to the finished product was top notch. Quick to respond to inquiries, easy to work with, and fair with pricing, I would be happy to recommend Dream House Services to anyone. Khanh helped with some projects at my condo and was great to work with. He was very responsive, showed up on time and was fair with the price quote. My condo is on the 3rd floor and Khanh helped with some window and AC repairs. He was accommodating and helped come up with creative suggestions to accomplish the project. I appreciated him thinking outside the box and avoid having to take the AC units out of the windows. I'd definitely work with Khanh again and would recommend him to others. read more

We called Khanh to help us with a leak into our window / ceiling. He was incredibly responsive, prompt, and knowledgable. Very happy with the work performed by Khanh and his crew. We contracted Dream House Service to sound-proof and finish our basement ceiling. They were 100% professional and took real pride in making sure the job was completed within the agreed time frame and was high quality (a refreshing change from contractors I've dealt with in the past). Khanh worked hard to make sure that we were completely satisfied with the ceiling and even returned at a later date to help us install the smoke detector (free of charge). $229 to install a door sweep is insane. Price gauging. Less than 6 screws to drill in and less than a 15 minute job.

Responsive, on time, quick to fix and address the issue. I've already put them down as my go-to for any contracting needs.

Khanh and his team were professional from the beginning with the estimate to follow thru once we determined we would use their services. It was not a big job. Painting a garage, one room and another room/one wall where Khanh and his team patched a very large opening(drywall). Very difficult to locate painters who know how to use drywall for a large space. He said instantly he does it! We were very impressed with his work but also how after each day they cleaned up after themselves and after the job was completed it was if they were never there. Took their time to clean up so no mess was involved. Much appreciated! Also, not on time...early each day!!! Terrific team and I plan on using his services again in the near future. Highly recommend. So glad we found and it was thru YELP! It does work these reviews. Thank you for YELP and thanks Khanh! read more

Khanh is knowledgeable and very professional - really understands how to execute projects on time and on budget. He and his team completely renovated our hallway and internal stairs here in Brookline. Sanded down the original wood and sealed it, looks way more beautiful than I could have had imagined!
