Came here with my coworker for lunch and we were seated immediately. The customer service was amazing and our waitress was very attentive. I ordered the lunch beef taco and it comes with rice and beans. I added a shredded chicken taco and side of pico. The tacos came out fast and were delicious! I also ordered a small guacamole for the table and you could taste the freshness of it. This was a very enjoyable meal and I will be sure to come back to try other items on their menu.

The huevos rancheros were delish and the flour tortillas are made in house! Our server was courteous and brought our food to us pretty quickly! I enjoyed the variety of music!

Great little Mexican restaurant in the industrial district. As soon as you walk in you are met with very friendly staff and quick service. The dining room is small but well appointed. The food is always quite flavorful and served hot and fresh.

The foods is always good.. staff are very nice and welcoming. It's crowded all the time. I had menudo and the Mr huevos rancheros.

a table full of food

food was amazing, the salsa had great taste a lil spicy tho. We both got omelets and a short stack of pancakes, both really good!

Mom had the Menudo & she loved it.. She also liked the patas de marrano in the menudo.

First time trying this place & was very impressed not only with how attentive the waiter Manuel & the waitress attended us but also every other waitress that would pass by our table. Service is a A+, and the Food is Also a A+. You can't hardly ever find a place that has homemade flour tortillas anymore so it makes the food that much more tasty when you have them to compliment good tasting food. I had the pleasure of meeting Carmen she is such a Sweet Lady as well as all her Awesome staff! I will be recommending family & friends here. the only down side to this lil jewel of a restaurant is, that they close at 2 or 2:30pm everyday! Bummer! See ya soon!! GAVE ONLY 4 STARS ONLY BECAUSE THEY CLOSE TO EARLY!

I don't see how this place has 3 1/2 stars. Carmen's is always good and it reminds me of my home. This is as authentic Mexican breakfast I've tried around here in Dallas. The tortillas taste just like my grandma makes from hand. I recommend always getting a breakfast taco or two along side your meal. I always get the chilaquiles rojo or verde and it's always good. The staff be busting they butts and hustling. The managers as well as the waitresses make rounds pretty often to check on things. Very friendly staff always

TRES AMIGOS

Great Mexican lunch place West Dallas When I visit a client in the area this is my choice for lunch. Although they have a lot of good lunch specials, I opt for the the TRES AMIGOS...way too much for lunch...but I keep getting it again and again....and share some. Chips and Salsa are good and the service is always nice and fun.

Look for this sign or you'll pass it.

Shitty service, the waitresses can be rude. The menus aren't specific. The space is the worst. So small and squished. And its loud.

Hole in the wall that is packed at lunch. Food is good. Staff friendly. Typical TexMex selections from a family owned restaurant.

A staple of Uptown, Las Palmas is often referred to as the best Tex-Mex in Dallas. While I may be…read morebiased as it's my local spot, I do think Las Palmas is excellent. The location is super cute and always packed. You definitely need a reservation or have to go super early to get a spot. There is valet parking as well as street parking, which can get a bit crowded. I've had a ton of different food items the years, but their fajitas are their signature dish for a reason! It comes out sizzling, fresh, and delicious. Do not pass up on the bone marrow sauce, it transforms the dish to beyond a 10/10! The salsas are always good and then tortilla chips salty and fresh. I start with a skinny margarita w a salt rim, which was good. Our waiter, Abraham, was great! He was very attentive and was very knowledgeable about the menu. We also order the ceviche to start, which was yummy! The crackers were a bit of an odd pairing for me and I stuck with tortilla chips, but overall delicious!! My friend ordered the steak quesadilla and thought it was tasty too.

I wished it came with more than 3 tortillas or at least 4 since I don't put too much meat in my fajitas. I also tried the hickory grilled ribs. It was kinda salty, but the barbecue sauce was ok. The meat was very tender & falls off the bone. The fries that it comes with were alright. There was a little of wait, but I didn't mind since the food was good. Our food did take a while. Our waitress was very attentive & filled our water. There was seating inside & outside on the patio. I was glad that we were sat outside since it was a beautiful day today. Besides inside was kinda dark. Overall, the food is a little pricey, but totally worth it. A must are their fajitas.

The short of it--food was fine, but certainly felt overpriced for what we ate…read more Long of it--Sat outside and it was nice. Here in Texas, chips and salsa are such a commonplace experience it's off-putting to pay for them. We ordered the guacamole and the chips and salsa come with it, so that was, I guess, better...but the guacamole was $16, so there's that. The salsa was tasty as was the guacamole, but again, for the portion it's really not worth it. We had the queso flameado, which was yummy and the flour tortillas are good! We split the sirloin and were underwhelmed. For a grilled meats place the steak was very under seasoned and wasn't giving us fresh hot grilled vibes. Meh at best, as were the rice and beans. We ordered elote as a side and it was really the best thing we ate. Service was friendly and efficient! Cocktails average $16ish. Again, for the prices we expected better.

The food is amazing!! Obviously every dish is meat based here and it's cooked to perfection. Seasoned deliciously and very tender. The garlic mashed potatoes were smooth and tasty. We also ordered Chicharrónes and guac. I'll admit I was very skeptical about The Chicharrónes because they're either cooked right or they're not. They got it down here. Everything was cooked exceptionally well and delicious. 10/10 recommend. Food and drinks are great!

Chris our server was very friendly and knowledgeable. He took his time walking us through the menu and explaining what made El Carlos Elegante so special. The drinks were perfect. My wife loved her Desert Flor while I thoroughly enjoyed my Modelo Micheleda. Her Surf and Turf one hitter was exceptional. I have to say my Crab Cake was just ok. It tasted a little pasty and very heavy on the bread. The Pulpo was absolutely amazing. Perfect texture and the sauce it was served almost had me licking the plate. The El Machete was incredible from its presentation, to the freshness of the corn tortilla, to the quality of the meat inside. Definitely recommend this. We really liked our Okra + Shishito course, we just wished it had more okra in it. The two things I loved about the Al Pastor was of course the sauce it was served on but the fact that I got to enjoy it like a steak. It was served sliced on a bias like flank steak. Typically Al Pastor is finely chopped and served in tacos and burritos, so this was a different eating experience for me. And of course it was delicious as well. We cannot wait to come back and try more of the menu.

I was genuinely excited to bring my friend here for her birthday after such an incredible…read moreexperience back in December. That visit checked every box -- the food, service, ambiance, and overall hospitality were all exceptional. What really stood out to me then was the attention to detail. I had casually mentioned that one of my cocktails wasn't quite my taste, and Harry personally reached out afterward to say they'd gladly adjust it next time. That kind of thoughtful follow-up leaves a lasting impression and is exactly the sort of hospitality that elevates a restaurant experience. Unfortunately, this recent visit felt like a completely different restaurant. We decided to do a combination of à la carte dishes along with the Experience menu after being told this version would feature entirely off-menu items, which genuinely intrigued us since Ihad also done the Experience previously. At the start of dinner, we were asked about allergies and dietary restrictions. I clearly explained that I have a mango allergy and do not eat beef. Our server then asked whether I ate other meats, and I clarified yes -- and even specifically mentioned that if the machete dish was beef, please still include it because my friend could enjoy it and I really wanted her to try it. He confirmed it would be the sirloin version, so we happily agreed not to modify that course. So imagine our surprise when one of the first dishes arrived dressed with a mango vinaigrette. Thankfully, we barely caught him quietly mentioning "mango" as he set it down. We immediately looked at each other thinking, "Didn't we just discuss the allergy?" It was disappointing, but unfortunately also representative of the overall service throughout the evening. Our server seemed disengaged, inattentive, and often not fully listening. Empty glasses sat untouched, opportunities to order additional items were missed, and at one point we were simply handed the check without even being asked if we wanted anything else. We also ordered a bottle of sparkling wine and ended up pouring it ourselves for most of the evening because our glasses were rarely refilled. I completely understand not leaving the bottle tableside if walkway space is limited, but repeatedly needing to get up ourselves to retrieve it felt out of sync with the level of service one expects from a Michelin-recommended restaurant -- especially at this price point. Then came the machete dish. Instead of the sirloin version we specifically discussed, we received the vegetarian potato version. When the server asked how it looked, I politely explained that we were disappointed because he had specifically told us it would be the sirloin preparation. At minimum, I would have expected another protein substitution given the earlier conversation about what I could eat. I'm also still unclear whether the Experience menu was truly "off-menu" as described, since several dishes -- including the halibut -- appeared familiar. Had that been communicated differently, we likely would have skipped the Experience altogether and simply curated our own meal. At the end of the night, spending over $500 while pouring our own wine, nearly being served an allergen we explicitly disclosed, and receiving dishes different from what was promised made for a deeply disappointing experience -- especially after such a phenomenal first visit. It honestly felt sad more than anything because I know how wonderful this restaurant can be. I'm not sure what changed in the last five months, but the difference was significant.
