Carmel Valley Ranch is pure magic! We are so grateful for another fabulous stay at our #1 favorite West Coast getaway. The incredible CVR team, stunning grounds, delicious farm-to-table cuisine, amazing activities, generous suites with heavenly signature bath products, and even nightly social s'mores - everything here delights. Having visited previously during the fall, winter, and summer, we were excited to return to CVR for Easter this time. Springtime at CVR is wonderful! Highlights and special thanks from our latest visit: Is there anything that Director of Rooms JASON doesn't do? From warmly interacting with guests to re-filling the lobby water dispenser to driving the shuttle, this superhuman hospitality hero was everywhere! We were so impressed by him and his history, from starting as a graveyard shift valet and working his way up. Jason's graciousness and tireless work ethic make him an exemplary leader at the ranch. A *huge thank you* to the lovely JOSARA who kindly upgraded us to a Forest Suite and gifted cute toys to the littles in our group! While we were exploring the garden - which was magnificent in springtime - MARK invited our little ones to help plant pumpkin seeds, which was such a fun treat for them! He elevated our garden visit to magical! From chicken feeding to the Easter egg hunt to goat herding, we saw LANCE working hard all over the ranch. Thank you very much also to SAL and MILES for hosting such a fun Little Ranchers activity! The mini wheelbarrows were too cute! JOSE's friendliness and thoughtfulness made meals at Valley Kitchen such a pleasure as well as a feast for the taste buds! Big thank you as always to KIRSTEN for leading CVR's massive activities program! We enjoyed every moment of Little Ranchers, honey tasting, and our first CVR Easter egg hunt. Kirsten, ever thoughtful, made the egg hunt even more special by surprising our littles with Easter goodie baskets! JEFF gallantly shepherded large groups of guests for the Easter egg hunts - what a warm and thoughtful soul! REBECAH - thank you for offering late checkout, which helped us soak in a little more CVR and also made for a smoother drive home. The gorgeous property first attracted us to CVR, but it's the extraordinary team who keep us returning time and again! Can't wait to see you all again soon!

Thanks to my brother, I had the opportunity to spend this past weekend at Carmel Valley Ranch. What a lovely property! My brother had quite a few Hyatt points, and redeemed them for a room so I could tag along on his weekend trip. Carmel Valley Ranch is a Hyatt property located in the Carmel Valley. I had never been to this part of Carmel before; I had only been to Carmel-by-the Sea (which is by the beautiful waters of the Central Coast). Upon driving in, we saw beautiful fields of lavender, vineyards, etc. This is a gated property; when you drive in, someone greets you & you let them know you have a room. We drove to the lodge to check in and was immediately warmed greeted by their valet staff. The property is rather spread out though. You really do need a car to get from say, your hotel room / suite / villa at the swimming pool. There are several pools here; there is a kid-friendly pool, an infinity pool for adults only, and a mixed area pool. I did not swim during my stay here but the kids (niece & nephew) did. Lots of families here this past weekend. Also couples with young kids. there was also a wedding on Saturday night; and on Sunday I believe another one (I saw a beautiful bride walking around!). We stayed for 2 nights. For me the top 3 highlights were: 1. Pickleball -I played pickleball for the first time! Love that they have several pickleball courts next to the tennis courts. You can play for free (I believe the 1st hour is complimentary). I played for about 30 minutes with my dad, and they also had paddles / balls for us to borrow. Fun! 2. Lavender fields -The lavenders fields were so pretty! We walked by in the morning and the smell of fresh lavenders was sooooo lovely! Then in the room they had the lavender olive oil soap for us to use ** and I took one home with me as a souvenir. -3. Alpacas -I saw alpacas over by the Huff 'n Puff trail! Such cute animals!!! I do feel like the housekeeping could've been better. My dad had to call the front office since our room was not "refreshed" by 4 pm. Also, the showerhead in the room was crooked and couldn't be adjusted. Overall though, I had a very nice and relaxing stay and am happy I had the opportunity to do that.

Our stay at Carmel Valley Ranch was epic! It always is. My boyfriend and I were there for my birthday. Unbeknownst to me, he called them in advance to see if they could have deviled eggs (my favorite appetizer) waiting for me when we arrived. It was such a sweet and thoughtful surprise and so accommodating of the staff to do that for us. I accidentally made our dinner reservations for the wrong night. Mia, the hostess at Valley restaurant was so kind to move our reservations and to accommodate the 7:15 PM time that we were hoping for. The dinner was epic. Luis our waiter was just the sweetest-great personality and even sang when delivering my birthday dessert. We also had a really nice conversation with Jason, the director of rooms that made us feel so welcome and was the icing on the cake of a perfect stay. Thank you Carmel Valley Ranch & staff. We can't wait to be back?

The place has a cool, agricultural vibe. It is peaceful there. They have many amenities, which other larger places do not.

Great hotel. It was very clean up until we found ants in the living room and bathroom on our last night, but the hotel was very quick to come and resolve the issue. It's a very secluded hotel and the rooms are spaced out which is great for relaxing and quiet. Super pet friendly. But it is a steep price to stay here totally worth it

If heaven was a place on earth, Carmel Valley Ranch would be in the top 10 locations. Nestled in the beautiful hills of Carmel Valley is a gorgeous 5 star resort filled with the natural beauty of California. We hosted our offsite here for 4 glorious days and it was work yet not work! The amazing friendly staff, beautifully well kept rooms, activities, and food were all 5 stars. They have an adults only pool area that offers poolside dining and boasts a large infinity hot tub overlooking the valley. The evenings include hanging out by the various public fire pits and roasting marshmallows. For the day time, they offer activities that cater to various tastes such as honey tasting from their local bee hives, guided tours of their mini farm which includes a vegetable garden and farm animals. We also enjoyed their catering and their menu offers many choices for various dietary restrictions. Everything was beautifully presented , food was so fresh and delicious, we couldn't have asked for a better venue. Definitely will keep this place on our lists of top places for vacation and summits.

I really could not have asked for a better experience than our visit at Carmel Valley Ranch. The staff at check-in were exceptionally kind and took the time to explain all of the free activities and amenities that were included in our stay. My friend and I travelled here from Florida for my birthday and the staff ordered us a bottle of wine and a cheese board to our suite which were both incredible. The property is immaculately kept with lush golf courses, greenery, pools, gardens and even the enclosures for the animals and the bees. We did a complimentary yoga class, enjoyed s'mores around the fire pit, took a late night soak in the 24 hour hot tub and even went to visit the goats and farm animals. The rooms were so well laid out, beautiful and more than spacious enough. A fireplace in each room, a huge wrap around deck and a fantastic bathroom for 2 girls to sprawl out our makeup. I really cannot express enough how much I enjoyed our stay and how memorable of an experience it was staying here. I hope to visit again one day.

Delicious charred crispy greens over Caesar salad with sourdough croutons Nice ribeye with red wine sauce over mashed potatoes and broccolini (didn't love the steamed broccolini) Ribeye was very fatty but tasty. Would have liked it more trimmed Kids steak was nice and came with fresh cut fries Beautiful lodge and nice views on a sunny July evening

Do they allow service dogs inside the restaurant? Do they serve outside breakfast/lunch?

The restaurant serves a patio next to the pool deck that is covered. Not sure about service dogs actually within the restaurant.

Are the grounds easily accessible for a senior dog with mobility issues?

    Not really

Are the pools heated and open year round?

Any reviews/opinions on Weddings at CVR location? Considering having a wedding here. Food? Service?

Amazing location, the food is incredible (eaten at their restaurant many times) service is great especially working with the managers. The only thing is that it won't be cheap... but worth the price in quality!!

The pro shop looked well stocked with golf clothes, footwear, accessories. I'm sure there were golf clubs (I didn't really look, but I'm pretty sure I saw some bags). While I'm not a member here, I'm lucky enough to have friends who are. You must own a home or lot here in order to join the country club, which makes it that much harder to become a member. From the moment you drive up to the clubhouse, it's like magic. There are a team of people to take your clubs, take your car and get you anything you want. Upon arrival, I jokingly responded to the standard "Is there anything I can get you?" with a request for a double mocha and some scones. Five minutes later while walking up to the driving range, a young man showed up with, you guessed it, a double mocha and two freshly baked scones. The course will eat you alive, period. It's a whopping 143 slope from the back tees. The course is a little quirky, similar to Tehama, simply because it was cut into the hills of a rancho. However, it is much more straightforward than Tehama and despite the difficulty, a much more enjoyable trek. The 18th hole has one of the most IN-SANE forced carries I've ever seen in my life. While we were playing the Gold tees, you need to at least walk up to the Black tees to see the almost incomprehensible drive needed to make the fairway. Needless to say, I ended up taking a drop as my drive failed to clear the huge canyon. Beg, borrow or steal to play this course at least once in your life. I can't begin to say how fortunate I feel to have played here, and I'm looking forward to coming back. During an entire 18-hole round, we saw one other golfer. Not another foursome, just one lone golfer. We stopped for lunch at the 12th hole for 30 minutes, and no one came up behind us. Have drinks on the patio after your round and enjoy the beautiful surroundings to cap off an incredible experience before driving back home to reality.

I advise everyone to avoid Leguna Seca Golf Ranch as a venue for your wedding…read more My son and daughter-in-law got married there this past Saturday (7/19/2025) and while the location made for a beautiful backdrop to the ceremony and photos, so much of their contract was not honored that it made things very stressful. We were supposed to have the patio (where the ceremony took place) and the room adjacent to it until a minimum of 3:30pm. We were also contracted to have two bartenders dedicated to our event, the use of their speaker system, a coordinator to help keep the ceremony on schedule, bridal photos on the golf course, and a slew of other things promised but never delivered. Instead, after the ceremony (about 1:00 or 1:30), Leguna Seca personnel rudely started telling the bride, groom, wedding party, and all guests that they had another event that day (which turned out to be untrue) so we were to clean everything up and leave immediately. It was a mad scramble to gather all of our stuff before Leguna Seca staff tossed it in the garbage and locked us out of the room (which they tried to do before we were done). As a result, my kids were not able to gather with their friends and family after pictures were done so we did not get to toast the bride and groom, make our speeches, watch them do their first dance, etc. This was extremely upsetting and robbed my kids of some very special memories of their special day. Shame on Leguna Seca for not living up to their end of the contract but feeling free to take many thousands of dollars from us for the venue fee, golf fees on Friday, and large alcohol tabs (Friday while playing golf and during the rehearsal plus Saturday during the wedding). To make matters worse, on wedding day we had to share the main bar and one bartender (the only kind and considerate staff member we encountered) with golfers which made the line to get a drink out of control. To say I am a mad Mom because of what this venue did to my kids special day would be a gross understatement. Fortunately, my kids are resilient and awesome and chose to focus on the positive aspects of the day instead of Leguna Seca's unprofessional actions.

Holly Farm - Holly Farm team 3

    Holly Farm

    (136 reviews)

If you are considering Holly Farm as the venue for your wedding, and you just want the tl;dr, then…read morehere are my three most important suggestions for you: 1) You should absolutely go with Holly Farm. 2) You should accept every piece of advice Erin, Ryan, and the rest of the incredible team have for you along the way. 3) You should start getting excited right now about La Creme because their food is out of this world. Picking Holly Farm as our venue was the first choice we made in our wedding planning process, and trust me when I say that it was by far the best one. The pictures speak for themselves, and yes, it's as amazing as it looks (though if you haven't visited, you should take the excuse - it's truly stunning in person), but the real game changer is the team. The Holly Farm fam has been at this for decades, and it SHOWS. They cater to your needs and your vision, whether you want to be super hands on and into the nitty gritty on everything, or whether you want somebody to completely take the reins for you. We were so so appreciative for Erin's help during the planning process; any time we were stuck on something, she had a recommendation ready that was never just "off the shelf". We didn't want to be totally consumed by wedding planning all the time, and even though Erin had a big list of vendors ready to go, we were more than happy to listen every time she said "here's the 2 who I think you guys would love". It's really really telling to me that every single vendor we spoke to - without exception, including the ones we didn't end up choosing - all said some version of the same thing: "oh man I LOVE doing weddings at Holly Farm". Here's what I'll say about the weekend itself - it truly feels like you are staying at a luxury resort where you and your friends are the only guests. The entire staff is so attentive, so friendly, and they take care of all the details and logistics so that your only job really is to just enjoy the weekend and stay relaxed. We cooked a huge friends and family dinner in the Adobe and they cleaned the entire kitchen for us! Anytime we were hanging out in the evenings they rolled the portable heaters up without us asking! They moved our rental equipment around to make cool outdoor spaces for us so that we could get more use out of it than just the wedding itself! And nothing felt so satisfying as passing by Ryan on a path and hearing "hey I just lit your fireplace for you!". Of everything we loved about our wedding, the thing we loved most was getting to have this full weekend experience with our closest friends and family in one place, made truly special by the care the entire Holly Farm team put into making us feel at ease and at home. And one final thing - lest I leave you with the impression that this is only about good vibes - the operations for the wedding itself were incredible. Every vendor knows the team and knows the venue, everything works like clockwork without you having to supervise anything, and Erin, Ryan, and their staff have things so tightly coordinated that we didn't have to stress about logistics at all once the weekend got started. I can't emphasize enough how big a difference that made to us compared to some horror stories we'd heard from other weddings. Here are some final quick hits on other things you might be wondering about - but seriously, pick Holly Farm: - I didn't write an entire review for Tamie and La Creme, because it would be just as long, but they do amazing work. This is straight up excellent food, not excellent "wedding" food. - The rooms and buildings are very cool and very comfortable. - Yes, the Paraiso suite is "open air". Yes, it really does stay warm. Having a roaring fire in there, plus a heated blanket on the bed....A+. - The optional River House for extra space is definitely walkable (~3 mins), but it's nice to have flashlights at night. - Having the flexibility to use the space however you want for the entire weekend is a highly highly underrated perk. We had people hanging out on Thursday and Friday and it was a ton of fun. Highly recommend making plans that utilize the space every day. - We were nervous about the higher cost at first, but asking friends and family who stayed on site to pay for rooms turned out to not be a very big deal, and what we charged them was still way less than area hotels. - The music has to switch from DJ's speakers to house speakers at 9:30pm, but the house speakers can stay on all night if you want. We had just as much fun after the switchover. - No curfew is also a huge perk not to overlook. Erin and Ryan if you're reading this THANK YOU SO MUCH AGAIN YOU GUYS ARE ROCK STARS!!

Our wedding was an absolute dream come true. The love we had for each other and for our family and friends that traveled from across the country to celebrate with us was reflected in the beauty and spirit of Holly Farm and all of the wonderful folks that work there. From the moment we arrived, we were blown away by the warmth and charm of the space. It was as if every inch of the venue was designed to make us and our guests feel at home, while still capturing an elevated, magical atmosphere that was simply unforgettable. Everyone at Holly Farm went above and beyond to ensure each detail of our wedding weekend was flawless. Their attention to detail was extraordinary, and it was clear they genuinely cared about making our day perfect. Ryan and Erin were so caring and attentive, and they made us feel like family. They were there for every little detail and made us feel completely at ease. The food, catered by La Creme, was nothing short of five star restaurant quality. We've received countless compliments from our guests about how delicious everything was! This was a big deal, especially coming from our families who are used to extravagant New Jersey weddings with an abundance of food. They all told us it was the best wedding food they'd ever had, which is about the highest praise you can get from a family who knows food! Everything about The Holly Farm was perfect--from the gorgeous, tropical setting that felt like a hidden paradise against the coastal backdrop of Carmel to the impeccable service and food. We couldn't have imagined a more beautiful, heartfelt, and memorable experience, and our friends and family STILL haven't stopped raving about it! Our wedding weekend was made even more special thanks to the onsite haciendas where we, along with some of our close friends, stayed. The houses were cozy yet luxurious, and perfectly appointed with a level of service that truly felt five-star. Each detail was perfect, from the unbelievably comfortable beds to the wood burning fires that were lit by hand each night and the wonderful house staff that made everyone feel at home the moment they arrived. Getting to spend the whole weekend in such an enchanting space made the whole wedding feel so much more special, a truly immersive experience vs a single-day event. We loved discovering the countless nooks and crannies throughout the property where our friends and family could relax, chat, and soak in the surroundings. It created a sense of intimacy and closeness that made the entire experience feel so special. When the weekend was over, we genuinely didn't want to leave. Heck, we may even crash the wedding that's probably getting ready to kick off this weekend! The Holly Farm made every moment magical, and we will forever cherish our time spent there with the people we love most.
