The Lodge has the best view for the most perfect brunch in Pebble Beach! It's hard to have it all, but The Lodge has great food, service, and views! There were absolutely no complaints from my end. We had a reservation for 11:30 on a Sunday and it was not super busy on the outside patio. We were warmly greeted and our server was excellent! He made us feel very welcomed and was sure to tell us that he could make us any drink possible! We ordered the butter lettuce salad with chicken and the mushroom ragu rollatini. The salad was refreshing and I loved the light and herby dressing it came with. The chicken is a definite must! The mushroom ragu rollatini was the star of the show and I did not miss the meat at all! I love Don Angie's rollatini lasagna in NYC, and this one had me just as mesmerized. The view in itself is worth coming here and the food is very good as well! I highly recommend The Lodge!

You can't beat the views and the ambience here! Service is impeccable and the drinks and food are top notch! Please note that they do follow rules of etiquette, where men are not allowed to wear hats inside - no matter what kind of hat (though there is an outside area where there are allowed). I love stopping here anytime I'm in the area.

Come for the view, but don't expect to be wowed by the food or service... :-( The view of Pebble Beach is a great finish after your slow journey through the 17-mile drive. As for the food, it is pretty much ordinary yet highly priced. The drinks are watered down, and the service is somewhat aloof... that is the only explanation I can reason as to why it would take over 40 minutes to make a cheeseburger and fries If you want that perfect sunset and beautiful scenery, this place will not disappoint you. Food and drinks... well that's another story.

Views are amazing. We had dessert and drinks here and enjoyed the stop we made. Was happy we were able to get in and sit awhile to cool down from the amazing weather. The coconut chiffon cake was our favorite.

    A Landmark! =)

The Pebble Beach Concours D'Elegance was an extremely successful adventure, for fans near and far. The outstanding international event hosts the elite automobile car show, with the finale Sunday on the 18th golf green. The many gatherings and parties are brilliant: with delicious artistic food creations shared at sit down dinners, buffets and shows including jazz musicians, tribal Native American performances, and drone laser air shows. Magnificent activities!!! Thank you kindly!

Welcome to Pebble Beach and sign for The Lodge.

Pebble Beach is one of the last highlighted stops along the wonderful 17-Mile Drive Tour. If you enter "The Drive" at the Pacific Grove Gate and work your way around the beautiful coastline in a counterclockwise direction, you will eventually arrive here at Pebble Beach and this acclaimed Lodge overlooking the world famous 18th green. I recommend taking some time to exit your car and walk around the Lodge area which includes: shops and restaurants, access to the golf links and even a pathway to the sandy beach shores. The Lodge is sort of the centerpiece/focal point to Pebble Beach. Although I was just taking the 17-Mile Drive Tour for the day and not actually staying here as a guest, still...it was very nice to get some exposure to the game of golf. And, for those who may not know...this Pebble Beach golf region has a reputation for being host to one of the most scenic 18-hole courses in the world! Just that fact alone should motivate people to come visit and see what this place is all about. When I first arrived, I actually parked my car and walked inside the Pebble Beach Visitor Center which was great for purchasing a few golf souvenirs with the iconic PB Lone Cypress Tree stamped on most of the merchandise. Btw, you can view the Lone Cypress Tree hovering at the edge of the cliffside right nearby here along the 17-Mile Drive. Also at the VC, you can read about some of the terrific moments from Pebble Beach that will be etched in stone forever. But, I will write a separate review for the Visitor Center at a future time. I did leave my car at the Visitor Center parking lot and strolled over here to The Lodge, which was a casual walk of 400 feet and then started exploring. In the back section of The Lodge features a wonderful putting green to get some practice in before heading out onto the venerable course. Yes, so, I believe the Pebble Beach links are open for public use when they aren't hosting tournaments. A bunch of the lodge hotel rooms overlooked this putting green. To sum up the surroundings, it was just a surreal setting to even be walking around. Although I rarely golf, I felt like I was standing in quite a prestigious setting. The grounds were flawlessly groomed and in immaculate condition. Then, as just a visitor, I was allowed free access inside The Lodge. The lobby area had an old fashioned, throwback in time type of feel like only VIP's are allowed access to. It resembled an old Wall Street type of club where elite members get together. So, for me to be able to simply browse inside and out was exciting. Just past the lobby you can peer straight out onto the terrace area. Here, guests and golfers who had completed their outings were sitting, dining and admiring the postcard-like setting viewing the illustrious 18th hole putting green. Every table was occupied. It felt like I was standing among golfing royalty. I'm more of a tennis player so to relate this Lodge to a sport I'm familiar with, I was reminded of being at the grass lawns of Wimbledon. Walking down the hallways featured plenty of past trophy winners and awards highlighting champions of golf who've participated at Pebble Beach tournaments. There were pictures describing memorable endings. In some instances, golfers can have career defining moments transforming themselves from tournament hopefuls, to winning it all in one weekend and departing as legends of the game. Finally, just having the opportunity to get a firsthand glimpse into what makes Pebble Beach so well known as a mecca for professional golf was satisfying. Plus, with successfully completing the 17-Mile Drive Tour earlier in the day by taking in the sights of California's renowned coastline, ending things here at The Lodge was an amazing way to experience why Pebble Beach will forever be known as a world class golfing destination.

The view from almost anywhere on the main property

TLDR: Beautiful hotel and rooms, beautiful views from the main building, and beautiful facilities. A truly luxurious experience with some of the friendliest employees out there. HOTEL: My room was not in the main building but actually in a room to the side of the property. Though I didn't get an ocean view, I still had a lovely back patio overlooking a garden-type view with sounds of the water, which I still enjoyed. The room was incredibly spacious and clean (though I will note one anomaly, which was that there was a dead cockroach in one of the glass cups in the bathroom...). There were also daily complimentary snacks and waters (and some other necessities in the room like tubes of sunscreen that you could buy). The bathroom was open to the rest of the room meaning the only door was to the toilet on the side of it. That meant the shower was exposed to anyone in the room, which was fine for me but wanted to note in case this is an issue for others. HOTEL SERVICE: The hotel has individuals who are happy to drive you around the property on golf carts to get to your next destination since things can be so far apart. For example, the workout facility and driving range are quite far from the lobby so it's almost necessary for someone to cart you there unless you want to drive there in your own car yourself. Everyone I spoke to on these carts was so kind and funny and high energy, so it was always fun. There's also a pretty frequent and convenient shuttle to take you to courses, driving ranges, and other lodging. DINING: Lots of great dining options on the property including Stillwater for seafood and the Tap room for casual drinks or bar food. Bars are closed relatively early here except for the Tap Room, though still earlier then most bars in a city. FACILITIES: Breathtaking views while working out at the gym, though it's quite far from the main buildings. Has most basic things you'd expect though don't have too too many weights machines.

Amazing, simply the best California attraction. Love the weather and people are amazing

At the Lodge outside the library room terrace 44 years after we got married overlooking the 18th hole. Priceless.

On May 17, 1980 we got married at the Lodge on the library room terrace overlooking the 18th hole. Our wedding luncheon followed inside. On May 17, 2024 we returned to celebrate our 44th anniversary. The library room was locked, however a front desk person let us in and took our photo. It was a beautiful and emotional day.

Putting aside the price itself, the far bigger issue was how incredibly rude and dismissive she was toward my wife during the conversation. After we expressed concerns, we were referred to the General Manager. I emailed the GM and heard absolutely nothing for over a week despite leaving multiple voicemails. After trying a third time, I finally received a return phone call. I was told my email was never received. We explained how poorly the event coordinator treated us and that we had specifically been directed to management. Initially, the GM seemed understanding. She spoke about how small the kitchen is and how larger parties can impact other guests' experiences. She said she'd try to help, recommend alternative venues if needed, and asked me to email details again. I thought we were finally making progress. Then things somehow got worse. After sending the email, I received what was obviously an accidental phone call. During the call, the GM appeared to be speaking with a colleague and was talking negatively about me for absolutely no reason. I heard comments about how she receives lots of emails and assumes many are spam until someone sends a second email, and that she handles voicemails similarly. Hearing that level of disregard for guests regardless of how serious or beneficial the inquiry might be for the business was honestly shocking. At that point, any chance of earning our business disappeared. Even if I receive an apology, I will never spend a dollar at this establishment. The ownership seriously needs to evaluate the management team because I've never felt so disrespected by a restaurant in my life. Extremely disappointing experience from start to finish. Unfortunately can't say anything about the food and never will.

After seeing the beautiful views each room had, I knew I had to convince my husband to book this hotel for our visit to Monterey/Carmel a few weeks ago in November. We booked an Ocean View Suite (Room 29) and while it was expensive, I think that it was well worth it! Their amenities, service, and little luxuries made our stay so special. Getting there: After spending the day in downtown Carmel, we made the drive up to the Carmel Highlands. The driveway is a bit steep and narrow, so be careful, especially if you're arriving at night. The lobby was easy and there was plenty of parking in the parking lot. The front desk checked us in and gave us a directory and map of the place. And upon arriving to our room, we were greeted with a chilled bottle of champagne, a rose, and fancy chocolates! So sweet! Room: Our room had a small living room with its own TV, a Good size closet with two other pillow options, a big bathroom with a tub and plenty of soft towels, and some amenities. And of course - Our bedroom! we had a large king size bed, two nightstands that had USB ports to charge your devices, and a sound machine. There is a bar, microwave, and small fridge, as well as some plates and silverware to eat any leftovers. They had a nice Nespresso machine complete with instructions, and some delicious tea options. My favorite part was the window seat with the amazing view of the ocean! The windows open which is nice to hear the seagulls yapping in the morning. My husband enjoyed their daily visit. We both enjoyed watching the sunrise and sunsets. Overall, it was pretty quiet, and felt very private. But early in the morning, we could hear a lot of furniture (?) being moved around. I'm not sure where it was coming from, but I assume it was the kitchen since they did have to prepare breakfast which started at 7:30. Just bring earplugs if you're sensitive to a lot of noise. Food: Breakfast was lovely! They had various teas, coffee, juices, freshly made mini egg, frittatas, bacon, pastries, yogurt, oatmeal, and bread. We enjoyed eating on the new glass deck. in the afternoon, they have their wine and cheese hour which is another lovely luxury of this hotel. I really enjoyed having a glass of wine while watching the sunset and spending time with my husband. They don't have a restaurant, but they have a small food menu and bring you something to eat during most of the day. there's also nearby restaurants less than a five minute walk from the inn. Pool: I enjoyed some time at the small pool. It's heated and it was quite warm and sunny, but felt amazing especially coming back to a cold New Jersey. Overall, I absolutely loved this place and would love to come back during the holidays or even the summer or anytime! They think of every detail, provide excellent service and little luxuries. Definitely recommend for a romantic getaway!
