The woman that answered my phone call couldn't understand the order I was placing. I repeated it 4 or 5 times emphasizing hot sauce to go on the sandwich. When I got home it was LOADED with ketchup. We asked for everything bagels and the bagels were stale and had no seasoning on them. I called back complaining and asking for a refund and spoke to a women at first who again couldn't understand what I was saying and passed the phone off to a man. The man was extremely rude on the phone and told me there's nothing he can do to help me and that the bagels had seeds on it so it shouldn't be an issue. He spoke over me, and told me he was too busy to take care of this. When this was Carmel Bagel- this would've NEVER happened. I've had BEC sandwiches from Dunkin that were tastier. Since the ownership has changed this facility has gone down hill and is no where near what they used to be. Local deli with all types of menu items. They make fresh bagels and all types of breakfast items as well as burgers and wings. It's a bit confusing. They serve coffee and you can get fries with that. This is your local little family owned-ish deli (a lot of people call it bagelicious). Prices are decent, coffee is ok. Bagels are fine. Nothing extraordinary but if you're in Carmel and want basically anything even a dozen eggs, this is your place to go to. A lot of parents come here with their kids after football/soccer/baseball practice and it does get busy. The reason I'm not a huge fan of this place is because it just has way too many menu items it gets confusing. The quality isn't anything out of this world nor extraordinary. The bagels are great and hold up well. I've refrigerated them and just popped them in the toaster oven to bring back the freshness. Now for the negative. I get the same order every week and rarely get charged the same price. The price varies by as much as $4.00. When I've called the server on it, the common response is, "Oh they must not have charged you tax". My order is a very simple one, under $20 so how could there be $4.00 tax? Also on at least one occasion I was shorted 2 bagels. The next week when I returned I brought it up to the girl who had served me the previous week. This is the only available option in the carmel area and its a damn shame. The bagels are small and hard as rocks. I ordered a everything bagel and had to put on my glasses to find some seasoning on it . After 10 mintues of inspecting the bagel i found that it had a pinch of poppy seeds that stuck to it . We also had the misfortune of "enjoying" a BEC on a bagel that was made so shitty the (1) egg they used was hanging halfway out of the bagel. Great deli! Very convenient for before work or school and is in a easily accessible location. They definitely work with you on what you want and make sure that your food is perfect for you. The pricing is cheap and great quality food. They have a ton of choices for coffee and tea as well as all other types of beverages. First time trying this place today for lunch. I ordered the Veggie Lovers wrap. The guy behind the counter started making it right away but then took forever to put it together. He had to look around for each ingredient and it took a long time for a cold wrap. When he rung me up, he didn't speak or make eye contact with me. I used to like this place...but their quality is down. I ordered a grilled veggie wrap....I get my wrap and there is a fried eggplant in it! A surprisingly great bagel place. A group of us stopped here on the way to the Catskills to load up on some delicious carbs before our hiking trip. We weren't expecting much but we were pleased with our breakfast at Carmel Bagel Deli...licious. There was plenty of parking in the front so we just pulled straight in. The place is spacious with several tables to sit in and a section in the front where you dispense your own coffee. There's a wide variety of interesting bagels including Pumpernickel, Egg, Sun Dried Tomato, and French Toast Bagel. I had the Everything Bagel with Veggie Cream Cheese ($2.75) and my bf had the Egg Bagel with Butter and Swiss Cheese ($1.75). The bagels were fresh and well made and the cream cheese . I tried some of bro-in-law's Pistachio Muffin ($2.25) and it was excellent. Big, fluffy, green, soft, and luscious. It was sweet and very scrumptious. We also had the Chocolate Chocolate Chip Muffin ($2.25) to go and it was yummy as well but the Pistachio Muffin is by far the best. Terrible. Came here to grab some late breakfast. Every time I come in here I am accosted the minute I walk in the door. "What can I get for you?". Just a minute, I need to look at the menu. So i kept seeing this place on my way to church and the grocery store, every week. And i heard tyat the owner of the place is my neighbor ( can you tell that the neighbors in this area arent taht friendly other than a mediocre hand wave). Anyway after almost 8 years of living in this area, i decided to visit this place with my sisters and omgg my life was changed. I did not know what lox spread was up until that point but omg it just the most divine thing i ever put in my mouth! We shared the lox spread on a plain bagel and the veggie spread on cinnamon raisin ( i like the sweet and savory combo, ok!) Plus a corn muffin. 5/5 for all of them. I come here probably twice a month and never had a problem until yesterday. First, I tried calling my order in and nobody answered the phone. When I arrived, I asked if their phones were working and they said yes, but the ten minutes I was inside, the phone never rang once. I ordered the protein wrap, which I usually get. It could be a great place because it is busy so the food is fresh, BUT the staff is a bunch of kids who don't care what you order, they make whatever they remember which is wrong every single time.
