Saddest cheesesteak I've ever had. See pic attached. If you could believe it from the photo, it was supposed to be a mushroom cheesesteak. Hardly any beef (more on the dry side), even less mushrooms, just overall sad. And thin - I've had hot dogs more filling than this cheesesteak. This may be the shortest review I've ever written, but I think the pic speaks for itself. And for size reference, the picture was taken with a packet of ketchup. I know this isn't Philly, so I wasn't expecting an authentic Philly cheesesteak. But I feel they weren't even trying with this. And this wasn't by any means a bargain. This cheesesteak and fries ran me about $9. Very disappointing. Fries weren't great either, but that's because I'm not a steak fries person. I only eat one cheesesteak a year, but I'm making an exception this year and going for another elsewhere. Craving not satisfied. I'm a cheese pizza well done man myself but when people jump on my order we usually go with the anti- pasta salad which is loaded with meats and cheese and incredible for the price. The boardwalk and upside down pies are staples at family parties and the cheesesteak is sneaky good and great for the price. I was glad that my entire order was correct, it arrived hot, and I received it under the estimated time. These are all good things. Ahh! Wait a second, technically the order wasn't correct! I should stop drinking. I ordered a veal parm sandwich, and they gave me a veal parm dinner. No worries there, I paid $6.50 for a $10.95 meal. In addition to the veal, I also got a cheesesteak, mega fries, and wings in their "toxic waste" sauce. I enjoyed the heat of the wing sauce, the fries were good, the cheesesteak was average, but not bad. And the fries were good. The veal parm was very good (maybe it tasted better because I got more than I paid for.) Nothing made me jump up and call my dad to tell him how good it was, but it was solid. I used to order from goodfellas all the time, until their standards of food dropped drastically. I got fed up, and I ordered from carlos. Best decision I have ever made. The pizza dough is on point. It's not undercooked or overcooked. The sauce they use is very flavorful and the cheeses are not too oily, and it tastes fresh. They are abundant with toppings, and they don't half ass them like other places. You can tell that there is passion and pride in everything they put out. Delivery is prompt. Prices are good. Ordered an eggplant parm sandwich and curly fries for lunch on Friday, April 3, 2015, I used my card to pay. About half an hour later, delivery man knocked on my door, I took the bag from his hand and signed the credit card slip, giving him a 20% tip. Went into my kitchen, opened up the bag to discover that there were no fries, I then opened up the sandwich to discover it was not a hot eggplant parm, but a cold cheese hoagie. I immediately called and said I didn't get my sandwich or fries, but a cold cheese hoagie. After being on the phone for several minutes while I could hear the employees trying to get the driver, I hung up. Went back to doing some work when I hear a knock on my door. I ignored it as I was on a deadline, then I hear the doorknob turn and the delivery guy opens my door, and with a massive attitude said he needed the sandwich back. I said the sandwich was in the trash and they couldn't deliver it to someone else once I had opened it. I take it he wanted to re-wrap it and deliver it to whomever. He said he still needed it back. I said what part of it is at the bottom of my trash can don't you understand. And remember, he didn't even have my food, just wanted to re-wrap this cheese hoagie and deliver it. He then turned and left. I called Carlo's Pizza back to complain about their delivery guy just walking in my home, and how he wanted the sandwich from my trash to deliver. I also said I wanted the charge on my call reversed as they didn't deliver my food. The guy on the phone said he couldn't do that. I asked why not as it was a pending charge and could be cancelled. He said he was too busy, but if I came in they would give me the money back or give me a credit for a future order. If I had time to go out to get my money, I wouldn't have ordered delivery in the first place and why would I want a credit for a future order for a place with such lousy service and that was willing to get a sandwich out of the trash and deliver it to an unsuspecting customer. If I could give less than 1 star I would. Avoid this place like the plague. So I ordered from here after reading reviews on Yelp. Never again. I am here visiting from MA and this just was not good at all. I ordered a chicken Caesar salad with the chicken on the side. The chicken came on the side and that was the best thing about my order. Anyway the chicken tasted like it had been sitting for awhile. The croutons were stale and chewing. I was really hungry so i put my salad together and tried to eat it. I couldn't even finish half. It was disgusting. I also got mozzarella sticks. They were cold and hard, also disgusting. I am from North Jersey...about 30 min outside of NYC aka the pizza capitol of the USA. When I moved to Abington I was so scared that I would never be able to find a good slice of pizza around here.
