They took it for a test drive. You could almost push the brake all the way down before it would stop and it didn't stop very well. We were expecting the worst but after about half an hour they put the tires back on and came in to talk to us. They said that they adjusted something on the brake and now it was so much easier to stop and also it would give us a lot more time before he had to spend money on new brakes. What was the charge, I asked? No charge they said. We walked out of there like we were walking on clouds. What could've been several hundred dollars ended up costing us nothing. I've been there several times before and I've never been disappointed with anything they've done. My thanks to the owner, the workers and everybody involved at that wonderful business. Two of those shops said the earliest they get everything done was the next day. The one shop that had the tire in stock AND could install it that day was Martinez Tires. That's where I went. I expected to wait for at least a couple of hours since I was a walk-in without an appointment, and they would just have to fit my job in where they could, you know? But that's not what happened.
