Miguel did a great job w installation and repair. I was told false info at another store by a bad employee that the company properly fired. Miguel fixed it. I've bought dozens of tires so I will keep doing that at Discount Tire. read more

Discount Tire - Off road shenanigans. - Tires Near Me - Salem, Oregon

I ran over a nail and my tire was losing pressure, but I was planning to buy tires in a couple of weeks. I was so impressed by the customer service I experienced, quality of tires, and reasonable prices that I decided to have all my tires replaced and my spare as well. They are working with me to order in the spare as it's an unusual size. They also put my old tires in plastic as I plan to keep them. Kaiden particularly did an exceptional job, and I recommend asking for him at the counter. Very helpful and professional. read more

They didn't honor my warranty for tires that are literally falling apart. Less than 20k miles on the tires (50k rated) And tried to immediately push a sale for new tires. Not worth the money. Don't go here. They suck ass. read more

I had a situation with my tires being worn unevenly due to misalignment in my Tesla. It was bad enough that I needed to replace all my tires even though they had sub 15k miles on them. Nicholas broke the bad news for me but he was very empathetic throughout the process and gave me a generous discount. His serice was so good I gave him my business card and said if he ever is looking for a new job to call me. He was that good read more

I could not believe how amazing these guys are. they went way out of their way to get less money! searched to find cheapest price so they could match it. other places told me $450 or $400. they told me $300 for four new tires and alignmen, the whole package. I was expecting it to be rough until my next check. but they saved me so much that I don't have to worry. and the entire experience took less than 30 minutes. from walking in to driving away with new tires. read more

I purchased 4 Goodyear tires online through the DT website. A few days later I was called and told the tires were in. I took time off work and drove 30 mins to the store just to be informed that only 2 of the 4 tires had arrived. They offered 4 "equivocal" Continental tires, which I accepted because I could not take additional time off work. Two days later I had a flat. Here I sit at the shop, 2+ hours in now, waiting for a repair. Overall, not a pleasant experience. :( PS I followed your link as asked but there was nowhere to leave additional information. It simply asked for my name, email & phone. Thats it. Further, when I clicked on "Do not share my info", that link was broken. read more

I purchased a set of tires online as well as scheduled an appointment to get them installed. I was amazed at the speed that they put them on. I only had to wait about a half an hour. They said that if you order and schedule online it makes it so much faster. I know the last time I went in it took over 2 hours. They made it so much better of an experience this time. read more

A repeat visit for another set of tires. This shop runs very smoothly even when it looks chaotic. I showed up Saturday morning and it was in full swing. My car was still pulled in early and finished quickly. I had an appointment and did the online purchase everything went extremely smoothly! Special Thanks to the crew at Discount Tire!!!! You got it right! read more

From the moment you open your door there is good service at this location. We have also found other locations that have excellent service. A young man offered to help me inside; as it was slick out w packed ice and snow; and held the door open too. My husband was waited on by Demetrius F He was courteous and friendly. Prices were good. We were very pleased with the service. They took good care of our car too. Wait was not long at all. And the coffee was good. We will definitely be back. read more

Adam and Abraham were expedient, knowledgeable, and kind both over the phone and in person. The more limited interaction with other staff was positive as well. Their quick intelligence is put to good use to solve easily resolved problems (appointment juggling/ rescheduling, discount research, etc.), yet they do not hesitate to refer to others when needed for information and advice. I have seen golf-scale differences between the front to back quality of service at this businesses and other tire shops in the state, and this is solidly in the prime zone. I congratulate the management on hiring and retaining such good people here, and will certainly be back! read more

wow what a positive experience! Customer service is not dead. This was my first time dealing with Discount Tire in Salem, OR, but will not be my last. I needed 2 tires and had free time today ( a rarity). They had the tires in stock and were able to get me in for the install same day. I arrived, Jon reviewed my car and even checked my spare for me which had no air. They went above and beyond to take care of my needs and had me in and out, rolling on my new tires in less than an hour. top notch experience. read more

The store manager reached out. He was able to answer my concerns. Online orders compared to in person orders have glitches. I recently had two tire installed at Discount Tire. When they were ordered,(not in stock), I requested that the date code be within the last year, meaning that the tires be no more than one year old. After I got home from the install I noticed the date codes indicated the tires were over two years old. I called Discount Tire and explained my dissatisfaction with having two year old tires installed and was told even if they ordered another pair there was no way to know how old the tires would be, and no offer of any type of reimbursement was made, basically we sold you an old tire and to bad for you. That seems to be a strange way to run a business. I will never return to discount tire. read more

First I'd like to point out pricing. I think everyone can say Les Schwab is overpriced. While Discount Tire is inexpensive, the experience is far better. Made an appointment. I arrived, spot reserved with my name. They came out, greeted me, grabbed my car, took it right in and got it done. 20-30 minutes, in and out. Enjoyed customer service, checking in, providing updates, etc. Far better than sitting inside a smelly tire waiting room, wondering when it's going to get done, where I am in the queue of cars, and paying $200-$300 more for a set of tires. One thing to note. No alignment equipment. My next appointment. read more

They don't answer their phone been trying all day at 2 locations. And this is the place my boss uses so I'm stuck using them

Another great experience at Discount Tires! Fair pricing. Someone comes to me in the waiting area to update me on where they are in the process and to confirm completion time. I'm always in my car heading home long before the assessed time. A big bonus- the waiting area is super clean and doesn't stink like rubber! Best of all is the staff. Very knowledgeable, extremely courteous and friendly. Who knew getting new tires could be a pleasant experience?! read more

The customer service is at another level. The assistant manager Jose Moran and his crew are simply amazing

I love Discount Tires, and have used many of their locations with great success. Currently I am waiting at this location for new tires after a couple of nails created an unfixable flat on my Outback. The service here is impeccable and I recommend Discount Tires to everyone. They obviously do a great job hiring service-oriented people, and they train them very well. My experience at this story has been fantastic. Most importantly, my car had a problem and they fixed it. I drove in a donut and drove out with new tires. read more

I will never buy tires here again! The first set of tires they installed gave out within 4 months and they replaced the tires with some really crappy Goodyear brand ones that were so old. Horrible quality and total rip off for the price we paid! The tires they took off last year from Les Schwab lasted 3 years. read more

We have been SO impressed with the service we have received at this establishment. They communicate clearly and the appointments are never longer than they tell me. They had a full staff when I was here today, the employees were making every effort to work fast and efficiently to keep appointments running on time, all with a good attitude. Since we purchased our tires the nail removal was free. 10/10 recommend read more

Just had an object in one of my tires causing a slow leak and came to Discount Tire who said the previous night when I called them and was told they would fit me in because reservations were booked up already. Well, they took my SUV in at opening time and I was out of there within 45mins. They get my five stars and review along with the many other positive reviews. Observed they had a big team meeting with the installers and the service writers prior to opening time which really impressed me. While waiting several of the writers talked to me and really made me think this business treats their customers well. I will return for my next set of tires. Note, they do not perform wheel alignments. read more

Exceptional customer service!!! Jon at the wilsonville location (about an hour away from my location) provided excellent ,efficient, and quality services . He went above and beyond. After he set up a game plan for my car and the necessary repairs over the phone. He reached out to the Salem location (saving me about an extra half hour of driving with a donut on) informed them of our plans and provided a person of contact for when I arrived. When I did arrive Abrem was kind, organized ,and effective in the process of getting me back on the road. With 4 new tires, rotation and balancing after about 25 minutes from my arrival. My car was done and I was on my happy marry way to enjoy the sunshiny day! read more

I have used this place for all if my vehicles since 2003 when it was Americas Best. I buy sets of tires and pay the extra 60$ for their giarantee repairs. I got a flat today I have been waiting here for 5 hrs so far. I should have gone to les schwab today. They have a bay for unplanned problems for the customers. I had to watch and wait for so many sets of new tires to be sold and put on because they had an appointment. I couldnt make an appointment for a flat...To fix my flat is free. Well already paid for. The kids in the garage were running hard. But to still be waiting to fix a flat after 5 hours is just too much. The customers that have already paid are still paying customers. read more

SALEM STORE ONLY: I've been a Discount Tire customer for years, and never received such poor service at any other Discount Tire location. I've even had better service at this store. I made an appointment on Sept. 2 to get my tires rotated. (Learned my lesson after trying to get in the previous week and being told the wait without an appointment was 2-3 hours.) I arrived five minutes prior to my appointment time, and an hour later they still had not pulled my truck into the shop. It was only after I went inside and politely asked for my keys back so I could go somewhere else that they actually began working on my truck - an hour and ten minutes past my appointment time. What's the point of even making an appointment? read more

Had a flat tire in Salem and the expected wait was about an hour and a half. I didn't mind waiting so I decided to pull out my laptop and do some work. 30 mins later my car was done and I was shocked. Joe had pulled my ticket from the back and let me know he was able to take care of my vehicle without impacting anyone else's wait times in the process. I was ecstatic. On top of that, I previously purchased tire insurance last time I was at Discount Tire, so the replacement was only $15 (no cost for the actual tire). This is why I drove past a few other tire shops to locate a Discount Tire. Thanks Joe for the amazing service. Discount Tire, but definitely not discount service. read more

Needed help with a leaking tire on a road-trip and stopped at the Salem location of Discount Tire. They helpfully diagnosed the problem as a tire that was dangerously falling apart. They didn't have a replacement at that location, so they called around and found it at their Oregon City location. They then put on our spare tire and got us safely on the way to Oregon City. There, the crew quickly put on the new tires and got us back on our way. Everyone was friendly and professional throughout. Fantastic job all around at both locations! read more

Got a set of new Michelin tires installed in 45 minutes for a price comparable to Costco and without the general chaos that shoppers experience at Costco because of the crowds. These people are professionals. They do a thorough inspection of your vehicle. I was impressed.

Reason for low rating is the lack of confidence in workers itself. I initially called this place wanting to put on a set of tires that I am aware are not meant for the wheel I have currently on my car. Currently was on 275 45R20 and wanted to upgrade to a 295. Worker stated that it'll work out and upon drop off of my vehicle another worker claimed that the tire we initially agreed on would not work. They went as far as to measure the rim that I had to verify that it wouldn't and then said that a 285 would suffice. Later in the day tires were delivered to their shop to which I received a phone call stating that the 285 now were no longer an option due to the policy of the company. I then had the option to completely down grade to their policy and have them install the standard tire which is 245. I say all that to say this, although the workers are accommodating had they told me up front that they would not put the tire I wanted on my car and was paying for they would NEVER have had my business to begin with. Going to a different establishment for future purchases. read more

This was my first visit to Discount Tire. I'd like to start out by saying that I am very impressed with Mr. Ace Cruz, the Senior Assistant Manager. He helped me get the exact tires and wheels that I wanted. I initially placed my order on-line. There were delays in receiving the tires and wheels due the recent snow and ice storms. This was not Discount Tire's fault. The tires I wanted were either sold out or on back order from the MANY other retailers that I shopped at before making my Discount Tire purchase. Not only did Discount Tires have them, but I got them at a great price. The same was true of the wheels. These were a clearance item and I wanted them for my winter tires. Mr. Cruz was able to get them for me as well. In addition he kept me informed of the progress of the tires and wheels being shipped across the country. When I arrived at my appointment, I was told it would take about an hour to install the wheels and tires, which it did. While I was there waiting, I had the opportunity to watch all of the staff members interact with their customers both in person and on the phone. Once again, I was very impressed with excellent customer service that the staff was providing to their customers. Everyone was courteous, friendly and professional. It was obvious that they do care about their customers and that they would do anything and everything in their power to help their customers get what they wanted and needed. So, I went ahead and bought a second set of tires for our SUV at that appointment, as I found out that our current tires were running very low on tread. Normally I would have shopped around, as I had until April to find those tires. However, after receiving excellent customer service myself and watching others get the same, I decided that this Discount Tire location is my new place to buy all of my tires. Thanks again Ace! You are the reason that I will be buying tires for all of my vehicles at Discount Tire. I really appreciate the fact that you really went out of your way to help me. I really appreciate it! read more
