Caribou Coffee is my favorite chain coffee and coffee shop. Put that disclaimer up front. The shop on the corner of the busy Brier Creek Shopping area can be a destination or a place to stop after shopping for a quick coffee. The menu of items is easy to read with pricing up front. I regularly need to ask the staff what is the difference between one type of drink to another, for example, cold vs. crafted press, and I always receive helpful and friendly assistance. The drinks are always make correctly and taste great. Unfortunately they never seem to last very long! I enjoy iced mochas and appreciate the options of milk or dark chocolate. Drip coffee is available. Bagels and cream cheese and baked goods are available at this store. The coffee app is a must if you decide to become a regular. The rewards are similar to other coffee apps and the offers seem to be pretty frequent. This location represents the Caribou Coffee vibe with its (limited) leather seating and fireplace despite being on the smallish side. Overall the seating on the inside and plenty more chairs and tables outside provide enough places to enjoy your coffee and tea. read more

Been here a few times to get traveler coffee cases. The staff has always been friendly here. They have a nice selection of coffee from light, medium to dark. Ambience here is similar to any local coffee shop, however it feels more cozy compared to others. I haven't tried any of their food much. read more

At first I ordered an iced caramel high rise with extra caramel and it was ok at best. I give them a lot of credit since it was 30 minutes before close however I give them a 5 stare because when I went in to ask them to adjust it they took the old one and asked me if I wanted the same thing or something else without me having to prompt them and were so friendly and happy about making it right. The staff were so nice! The environment was clean and orderly and over all was the cherry on top for why I like going to them over any other coffee shops. This place needs a ton of upkeep. It's usually unkempt (dirty tables and worse bathrooms) The so called baristas are vert young college age kids. (There has not been a guy there in almost 1year) Be careful how you ask for anything or what you share with them In other words. Don't have small talk The ceiling leaks all winter and they put a bucket underneath in the middle of the floor There are only 6 outlets in the entire place And so if it is crowded good luck charging your phone or laptop And many of them are so old your plug will not stay connected Now the coffee is pretty good. The food is tasty and they care about their community. They're a good stop for a light breakfast or pastries.

Despite being in a pretty awkward location with difficult parking, this Caribou gets a lot of traffic. During high traffic times, it's difficult to get in and out with an efficient drink. The coffee here is exactly what you'd expect from Caribou. Their menu hasn't had too much reinventing which is honestly always a little disappointing when I do make it here. Avoid the food- it's never even half as yummy as you'd like it to be. Most food items I've tried always taste rubbery and have the generic no flavor meh you'd expect from a coffee shop that doesn't specialize in food. If you go around to the back of the building, if it's not during high traffic times, you can usually find some semblance of parking. The store is always clean and there are a number of outdoor tables which is nice in the fall. The one arena this place earned a star back from me is that they don't charge for dairy intolerance. Unfortunately, there's not much else to write home about. It's a perfectly average, slightly slow wait, middle ground priced coffee in a clean location. It's one of those locations I will definitely hit up if I'm in the shopping center running errands and want some coffee, but I won't go out of my way to make a visit. read more

First, I will say that the three stars is only because the employees are not incredibly bright. Coffee was delicious. I ordered a few items that came out to $17.03. I handed the employee/cashier $20. As I was ready to hand her 3 Pennys, so that I would have three $1 bills as change, the cashier told me, "oh no I can't take that. I already rung it up". The cashier had no idea how to give change. In addition, the employee did not know even know how to count out change. Just handed me a bunch of coins and never counted it to me. One star for the employee and five stars for the coffee. Due to multiple trips to Minnesota per year, Caribou Coffee has become one of my favorites. The coffee is always on point with the right amount of kick. We are fortunate to have 3 locations in the RTP area! This location is located by the Brier Creek Shopping center and is a great addition to the food/drink scene there. I don't normally write reviews, but my experience was hilariously bad. I will start by saying that I don't eat meat or drink milk, but I eat cheese. Given how many people have dietary restrictions these days, employees need to know what is in their products. I came in and saw the advertisement for bubble tea, which mentioned milk as an ingredient. I asked for the caramel bubble tea with soy milk. She said that it didn't come with milk anyway, so I was fine with that. Seeing as "real" bubble tea is made with milk and the advertisement included it, I should have questioned what she said. What resulted was essentially a $5 slush with some chewy "bubbles" at the bottom. When I asked how they made it, they said, "with a powder milk emulsifier." THAT IS MILK. That's like saying powdered cheese isn't actually cheese. I also asked for a bacon, egg, and cheese bagel with no bacon. I come to realize that it's premade and she offered to just take the bacon off. If you are a vegetarian: YIKES! It doesn't work like that! I wound up getting a premade slightly warm grilled cheese sandwich... for $4 My mistake was assuming that the company would use actual ingredients . That's corporate's fault for selling premade crap and powder for ridiculous prices. But the employees need to know what is in their food and drinks! read more

Starwhaaa? Noooo... Caribou? Cariwow! Caribou coffee has been across the street from where I live for over 3 years. I don't normally buy coffee-drinks from outside and from chains but this spot and Caribou in particular is an exception! This location of Caribou coffee has a very inviting and large space inside. Everything is well-lit, spacious and has comfy seating both indoors and outdoors. I stopped by to just grab a drink and I ended up getting the Nitro High Rise, a nitro-infused cold brew with caramel syrup and espresso foam. It was simply delish and perfect for the weather - not too cold too! I would have liked a tad more Coffee in it but otherwise it was a perfect drink! Their menu is pretty extensive with some innovative hot and cold drinks along with some breakfast sandwiches and other pastries. Tip: they have a rotating trivia question which if you answer correctly you get 10 cents off your order! I was fetching someone from RDU recently and had driven through from Fayetteville so I googled a coffee shop nearby to wait at and I love finding different coffee places to try! This was my first time trying Caribou and from the outside it looked interesting and inviting. Chain coffee joint that doesn't over-roast their beans, unlike some. The location is great and the outside seating is comfortable. I do wish they had better tea options for variations on a London Fog. I understand I may be in the minority here but I like tea, dagnabit, and I'd love more options there. The drinks are overall very good but my family tends to like the sweeter drinks so I can't comment on the coffee alone. The service is always prompt and pleasant. Every order I've had has been spot on, even when I go far outside of the posted menu options. I have ducked in here many times not long before closing and the staff have always been very welcoming. I love coffee & especially Cappuccino this place makes awesome coffee, they should add Kona coffee and make cafe con leche Cuban style. Love this location to get some studying done! I've never been to a Caribou Coffee before since they don't have a large presence in California but I think I definitely like them over Starbucks. The drinks selection is better and I looove that they melt chocolate in their chocolatey drinks! I tried a peppermint mocha with half white and milk chocolate and it was so decadent and delicious. The barista who was working was also really nice and helpful in answering all my questions. Next time I'm back I will be trying a chai latte (my all time favorite coffee shop drink) and see how it stacks up with Starbucks' chai latte (aka my addiction). I think the prices of their drinks here are pretty reasonable too especially since they seem to add a lot more quality ingredients in their drinks. There's a lot of tables to work and it's a pretty large space so you don't feel cramped. This location is in a shopping complex with lots of other little restaurants so if you need a meal in between studying, you have a lot of options. I'll definitely be back! read more
