Coffee

Ok place to stop at RDU. The kiosk made ordering quick and easy. The latte was hot, but the coffee tasted a little burnt. It was nice to have a coffee option before my super early flight.

What the heck is it with airport coffee places? Local or brand-name. The coffee is barely above mediocre and overpriced. I get that the cost for a lease in an airport is high, but is that an excuse to serve crappy coffee? It always seems to taste like cheap coffee watered down because they want to save money. I expect better because B&W's other locations can do it right. I will say the employees here are nice enough, so that helps. A lot. Because most customers are busy moving to or from their gate, they aren't paying attention to the overpriced colored water they have in their hands. FYI to B&W mgmt: When I pay cash, I expect to get change. Don't tell me you don't have cash in your register. I'm not leaving an extraordinarily high double-digit tip because you can't pay your employees better. Keep your coffee. At least at your RDU location.

Briefly heard about this NC chain and checked out their drinks before boarding my flight! I definitely should have picked 2 shots instead of 1 to improve my latte ratio. Coffee flavors were stronger than expected, nevertheless. The hot coffee had a nice bright acidity. The cookies were pretty standard. The blue cornmeal had a nice subtle corn flavors. This RDU airport location offers two kiosks that were easy to use/navigate. Good amount of seating and plugs available.

I am so happy to see a local small business in RDU right next to La Farm and across from Scott Crawford's new dining spot. Black and White serves up delicious coffee drinks, pastries with bread from Union Station, and items to grab and go. I have had the BLT and it was fresh and made with local ingredients. The coffee drinks are great! Service is also top notch.

Servers so unbelievably slow & so annoyed taking orders More unfriendly, depersonalized, self serve service

***FOOD: This is for the B& W at the airport location. CHAI LATTE - good but it took them so long and the servers had a side of attitude. They were SO unbelievably slow in making the drink. CROISSANT - was hard and tasted like it was a day old. ***COST (OUT OF 4$) $$$ I get it, it's airport pricing but for $7 for the latte & $6 for one not very fresh croissant is just too much. ***SERVICE: as mentioned above Servers /Barista seemed like they were angry to have to show up to work and actually take drink orders. Have you seen the movie Zootopia where the main characters are at the DMV and the employees are so unbelievably slow at doing anything. It's like watching them in super slow mo. Basically Surly & Slow SIDE NOTE- their menu is on the wrong side of the counter. When facing the counter, the menu board & all the bakery items are located/ pushed all the way to the right side of the shop, but you order at the counter on the left side of the shop. This layout forces you to have to walk over to right side of the store if you aren't familiar with what drinks, they have and the prices. This setup forces you to have to walk over to the right side of the store to see the baked goods and then walk back to the left side of the store where the cash register and "take your order" area is. I did this and the guy behind me thought I was leaving without ordering anything, then I popped back to the ordering/cashier area to actually place my order. So inefficient and not very well thought through. Obviously whoever thought this up wasn't a store designer ***RECOMMEND: Would NOT RECOMMEND

Big fan of black and white. This new location is totally different from the proper Black and White Coffee shops. They use automatic machine ( maybe to serve faster but everyone are waiting like 8-15min for their coffee even with automatic machines ) Can order macchiato or flat white or anything outside their menu. Coffee is still better than starbucks but definitely its not as good as proper espresso on proper e61 machines. The cappuccino i got felt diluted understandable on automatic machines. The serving size didnt felt like 8oz as indicated still its better than starbucks

Turkey egg and cheese sandwich

Food is pretty bad, we got a turkey egg and cheese sandwhich(pictured) and a coconut milk yogurt parfait. Sandwich was burnt and couldn't taste much other than the burnt bread. Parfait yogurt might be milk lol (not actually just super liquidy) also got coffees. Much better than the food but still extremely mediocre and priced like it would be high quality. Service was friendly and efficient and the place has good vibes and feels clean though!

Great espresso, just like in Wake Forest. So nice to get great coffee in the airport, not just Starbucks swill.

Ordered a bacon, egg, and cheese. They forgot the bacon. It tasted great; but would've been better with bacon. I love bacon.

One of the worst croissants I've ever had, and for $6.75 I would really expect better. Coffee was decent though

The baristas were very welcoming and knowledgeable, providing a sample of the coffee (we were given a coffee from Burundi) , providing some information on their harvesting and roasting practices, and opening up the floor to an audience Q&A. Ambiance is very modern and chic and there are two bathrooms open to visitors in the facility. I would recommend going on time to the tasting if possible for the best seating/experience. I came 15 min late and the seats were all taken and it was a full house. There were no issues with finding parking; there is a gravel lot adjacent to the roastery. Overall, a very unique experience!

They drizzled some of the coffee concentrate onto ice cream, which was amazing! I can't wait until they start supplying local stores. Hopefully, it will be available in stores for customers in the future!

There's plenty of seating, and the menu offers a lot more than just coffee -- with options ranging from craft coffee to beer and wine. I ordered a cortado, which was exactly the late-afternoon pick-me-up I needed. I had to take it to go (never the ideal way to enjoy a cortado), but it was still well prepared and nicely balanced. I also tried one of their seasonal drinks, the Bee Stings Latte -- an iced latte with honey, ginger, turmeric, and a little cayenne kick. It was a really unique combination and surprisingly refreshing. The spice and honey gave it a comforting, almost restorative feel -- the kind of drink that would be perfect if you're feeling a little under the weather or dealing with sore joints. My wife ordered the Raspberry Beret, an iced matcha with raspberry purée and white chocolate. Her verdict: the best matcha she's ever had. Between the creative drinks, solid coffee, and laid-back atmosphere, Full Bloom is a great spot in Garner whether you're settling in for a while or just grabbing something on the go.

For food, I got the Maple griddle which was very tasty. We were all wanting mimosas but they ran out of juice for mimosa so they were just giving champagne instead. My only complaint that I watched all my friends get theirs in beer glasses but mine came in a small container -__- I assume this may be the regular mimosa glass but I disliked the consistency and equality. They have indoor and outdoor seating. We sat upstairs, which was a decent sized area with great lighting and local art. Overall, it's a nice establishment in downtown Garner.

The perfect coffee roaster might actually exist -- and it might be Black & White Coffee Roasters in…read moredowntown Raleigh. I'm a big fan of lighter-roasted, funky, expressive coffees, and Black & White absolutely delivers. Their roasting style leans into vibrant, fruit-forward profiles, and they do it with confidence. The downtown Raleigh location is fantastic too. It's right in the middle of everything, making it a great stop for a date night, meeting up with friends, or just dropping in for a quick but exceptional cup. Their seasonal menu was small but mighty -- just a couple of options -- but the kind where every drink looks so good you wish they'd never rotate them off the menu. I started with the orange cardamom flat white, and it was perfect in every way. Beautifully presented and incredibly balanced. The espresso, milk, orange, and cardamom all complemented each other without any one flavor taking over. It was nuanced, aromatic, and just a joy to drink. For my second drink, I ordered a Rodrigo Sanchez pour-over, a co-fermented Colombian coffee labeled with passion fruit notes. It was everything I want from a pour-over -- bright, juicy, and expressive, with the kind of sweet stone fruit and berry notes that make light-roasted coffee so exciting. Black & White continues to prove why they're one of the most respected specialty roasters around. If you love adventurous coffee with huge flavor and careful execution, this place is an absolute must-visit.
