    Larry's laid back atmosphere!

We've been coming to Larry's for years to stock up on coffee beans! While there we enjoy a cuppa! The outside patio is amazing as are the staff! We Larry's!

All of the "hot" breakfast places in the area were bumping. So we stopped here for coffee and a quick bite to eat. Staff was welcoming and accommodating. Not that I blame them but its always a little awkward asking for a key to the bathroom. The iced coffee was rich and crushable like water. Blueberry muffin was just right. Had that flaking crunchy exterior and the pillowy belly underneath. Ham croissant was a little weird. The meat inside was very thick. Tasted and had a texture more like beef. If I lived in the area I could picture this being a regular spot to work, read or have a coffee or a beer.

*writing this review as I enjoy my morning coffee* If you know me, you know that I'm a huge fan of coffee and when I found out that I could buy whole beans directly from Larry's where they make the roasting magic happen, you know I was in and had to check it out. The building is tucked away, located off a gravel road but visitor/customer parking is clearly marked in front of building #2. While you're picking your bag of coffee, you can also enjoy some from the coffee station they have inside. Katie helped me choose my beans and recommended the Mightier Mocha Java, which she said is one of their best sellers. I can see why! When I got home, I powered up my burr grinder and had to make myself a midday pot because I am weird and get excited about coffee like that. Larry's has so many blends to choose from and I can't wait to try more! If you don't have a grinder at home, they would be happy to do it for you so don't forget to ask! Freshly ground coffee is literally the best. Larry's as a whole does a lot of good for the community and I can really get behind their sustainability efforts and quality products. Honestly, buying coffee locally is something that I have recently gotten into and wish I have been doing it sooner. So glad I made the trip and will be back soon!

A very cool/cute coffee shop that also sells some beers in the fridge and on tap. Great, friendly staff in a clean space. Free wifi provided~ Their coffee/beans smell pretty good; the two coffees we tried were both more on the lighter, brighter and acidic-y side... though we were hoping one would have more toffee and darker tones.

Stumbled upon this one evening and oh man are we glad we did. It is the coolest place you'll ever walk into. Tasty nitro brew on tap, tons of beans and grounds to be acquired. Very nice atmosphere and great service, will most definitely be coming back in the future and exploring more of their coffee options

A customer for life! I order nothing but Larry's. Love all the options, the customer service, but most importantly, the ethical standards.

I'm a big fan of lighter-roasted, funky, expressive coffees, and Black & White absolutely delivers. Their roasting style leans into vibrant, fruit-forward profiles, and they do it with confidence. The downtown Raleigh location is fantastic too. It's right in the middle of everything, making it a great stop for a date night, meeting up with friends, or just dropping in for a quick but exceptional cup. Their seasonal menu was small but mighty -- just a couple of options -- but the kind where every drink looks so good you wish they'd never rotate them off the menu. I started with the orange cardamom flat white, and it was perfect in every way. Beautifully presented and incredibly balanced. The espresso, milk, orange, and cardamom all complemented each other without any one flavor taking over. It was nuanced, aromatic, and just a joy to drink. For my second drink, I ordered a Rodrigo Sanchez pour-over, a co-fermented Colombian coffee labeled with passion fruit notes. It was everything I want from a pour-over -- bright, juicy, and expressive, with the kind of sweet stone fruit and berry notes that make light-roasted coffee so exciting. Black & White continues to prove why they're one of the most respected specialty roasters around. If you love adventurous coffee with huge flavor and careful execution, this place is an absolute must-visit.

Since I was so close, an Idle Hour had 30 minutes until closing, I thought I would go in for a Iced Chai Latte--one of my favorites--I love the way Isle Hour makes it, FLAVOR TOWN! Even though it was 30 degrees outside, I still ordered the Iced Chai Tea Latte. I knew that I would be very comfortable in their lounge area. After I ordered, I saw the Hot Chocolate Bomb at the countered. I asked the staff member about it and ordered that also. The Hot Chocolate Bomb is the BOMB --Delicious! I drank my Chai Latte after and was not disappointed. Staff is great--friendly and enthusiastic. Atmosphere very homey.

I recently found a hair baked in in my blueberry banana bread and the cashier was quick to rectify this w the option of refund/replacement. Their bakery desserts are beautiful but they aesthetics are as far as my compliments go for them. I tried the strawberry raspberry cheesecake and majority of it was gelatin and chocolate. Didnt taste any cheesecake. Maybe their other items are better! The GOAT is yummy but felt very skimpy on the toppings. I wouldnt say their food is their strong suit here.

I've yet to see much socializing at this location but others definitely have that vibe. I love how they have various seasonal offerings each month. The syrups are homemade and not overly sweet. The barista was friendly and prompt in service and thoughtful in the coffee prep. The ambiance was a small and quiet coffee shop in an office complex during a work day. We were the only customers there for that period. Parking was easy and the shop was quiet. There were a handful of pastries wrapped in plastic which did not look particularly fresh and therefore we did not order. There were a handful of sandwiches in the fridge which were obviously premade that made us wonder how fresh they were and so we also did not order. The barista poured us a plastic cup of water to share. The butcher block table that we sat at was high quality as were the chairs. The decoration in the window of small air plants hanging in each window was understated and charming. We likely will not be back thru no fault of the shop. We live 23 minutes away in North Raleigh. This is all to say it was a bit of a trek all the more notable for what i would say was a simple if high quality experience.
