This place is low-profile, but totally worth seeking out. Today I had a hankering for their patties - fried, crispy pockets filled with delicious goodness. We tried the beef, fish, and chicken. Every patty has a letter embossed in the crust to tell you what's inside, so you don't have to guess when you get home and take them out of the bag. Each patty was bursting with ingredients and flavor, beautifully spiced, and totally filling. I'm definitely going back to try their other menu items, but if all they had were their pockets, that would still be enough to keep me coming back. I spent almost $30 on food and was charged .20 cents for a PAPER bag. The food was a little salty but edible.

I've been to this place twice now and let me start off by raving at the customer service!!! When I went today, it was clear that they care about their customers. One of the workers mentioned that a lot of regulars go there. She was so great to the point where she even remembered people's usual orders. The first time I went, I was just craving Jamaican beef patties but TODAY I decided to go all out and get myself the oxtail. The portions were pretty big, but I was starving so I managed to finish the whole thing! The oxtail was fall of the bone good and I would definitely get it again. We have been to Laurel before but went to the Jessup location this time. The food is very good! The salmon was delicious. The portions are very small. I'm used to my Jamaican restaurants loading with rice and veggies. Not so here. For the cost I think they should at least fill the container with the sides. The juices are over $6 and much too sweet. I recognized the name immediately as a restaurant that I had bookmarked not too long ago. I called ahead of time to ensure that they had oxtail, jerk chicken, rice and peas and plantain. They were able to let me know that they had all of the above. We went in to pickup our food. I went with the large oxtail plate, which came with rice and peas, plantain and cabbage. My husband got the regular jerk chicken, and his meal came with the same sides as mine. We also each got a Ting soda, a dumpling, and a spicy beef patty. Our total came to $45. The food and service was so incredibly authentic that I almost felt like I was beachside in Negril, instead of in the middle of a nationwide pandemic. We will most definitely be back! read more

I ordered a large and small jerk chicken platter and was a little disappointed to see only little wings and no thighs or legs when I returned home. I'm not sure if there was a shortage of meat but that was unacceptable. I'm only giving this place 3 stars because I think their jerk sauce is pretty good. The large platter is priced too high, I thought they mistakenly charged me for oxtail @ checkout. Adding plantains to the platters just to bump the price up is robbery. A coworker recommended I try Caribe Express for good Jamaican, and it did not disappoint. The red snapper and curried goat were awesome. That snapper Everything Seasoned like Jamaican should be, with quality meat and good portions of it (unlike alot of Jamaican spots around here).
