This place is sooooo good. The only thing that stops it from getting 5 stars is its a little pricey. However, the sushi bowls especially are awesome. Whatever you do, DON'T modify the bowls (unless you have an allergy or something) because the fusion of Caribbean and Japanese is delicious and where else can you get it really? I went to this sad excuse for a sushi restaurant back about three months ago (wrote a review that they would not let me reply back to). Anyway, this place tries to do a Japanese/Caribbean fusion type of sushi. They fail. When I visited I ordered 6 rolls and all of them were really fishy (I get that its sushi but it was bad fish fishy). I alerted my waitress and the chef came out. He asked what I didn't like, I told him the fish was not fresh. He then proceeded to ask me if I had eaten sushi before. I informed him that I have eaten sushi my whole life (fine establishments like Nobu). He then proceeded to tell me that I was probably not use to sushi. I asked to have two rolls that my party had not touched taken off the bill and they refused. This place is a joke and I now plan on putting reviews about this awful place everywhere since they disabled my response on the original thread. Keep up the awful work guys!!!! read more

You do not want to overlook this place. It's hidden away in a shopping place and from the outside isn't super inviting primarily because of its location. Once you go in you realize it's kind of a hidden gem. It was pretty busy when we went but service was still good. The rolls are so good! Domestic beers are $3, appetizers start at $3 and the sushi rolls are beyond your money's worth! I am use to high prices small rolls but you will be pleasantly surprise these rolls are massive. 10 pieces a roll is more than enough. Do yourself a favor visit this hole in the wall and you will not be disappointed. We ordered the Twisted California, The Hot California and the Caribbean. Delicious. We couldn't get enough! I can't believe this place is only two miles from our house. When you walk in, there is fun, upbeat music videos playing, party lights and a palm tree to set the tropical mood. They also serve most of there rolls in 10s so you can't really get more than a couple different ones unless sharing. I got the philly roll which is hard to mess up. Surprising they were huge! And delicious. My sister got the Tropical fruit roll. Which she loved. It was like dessert sushi. They only serve one kind of Japanese beer. The service was great. We found Caribbean Sushi nearly 5 years ago. The sushi is spectacular. The people are even more incredible. It is family owned, and, in the years of frequenting this place, they have truly made us feel like a part of their family. You can order traditional staples or try the fusion sushi for a new take on your old favorites. We enjoy "chef's choice" menu options as the chef will often provide new rolls and fun combinations. During my pregnancy, they were conscious of what I could and could not eat and served accordingly. They also entertained our request for a "sushi cake" for my husband's birthday. This place really surprised me, despite the already high rating! It's next to a Ross, too, so you can walk and shop after! Despite arriving during the lunch hour, the place was empty, so I was a little worried the ratings were off, but a a couple of tables came in after me. The miso soup was a part of a Yelp check in offer, so I ordered that, the side salad, and the spicy tuna roll minus the mayo sauce. Not knowing how big the roll would be, I didn't immediately appreciate the lunch prices! It was $10 for 12 large pieces and the sides were a $1 each. The sushi chef asked me if I liked "hot" and when I said yes, he gave me a side of mango habenero sauce for my roll, and it really gave it a unique flavor! Only a small bit needed, haha Wonderful presentation on each dish, clean and well decorated restaurant, and friendly staff.
