Ahi tuna nachos... what on earth is this... This is so good from the downtown Tulsa in the raw. But this is completely different and so bad.

The sushi is pretty normal but In the raw downtown Tulsa is a million times better. Definitely don't order the ahi tuna nachos from this broken arrow location. See picture.

Service super, super slow. Sat at Sushi bar, but orders only by way of server. The sushi bar did not take order, sushi preparers were females, not even a greeting when we sat down. In fact they appeared to be learning how to make sushi and only spoke Spanish. Everything we selected was very good and tasty. Not at fan of the pan fried gyoza, very greasy. The dessert sushi was unexpectedly flavorful. Small, non functional sushi bar.

Although the restaurant was packed, we had great service the entire time. Our server was great, and she gave some really good recommendations. Every roll we ordered was fantastic.

All great, the service, food and ambiance. The sushi just seems better in quality than the average sushi place. Great selection and if you don't know, just go for a chefs special.

Happy hour is the way to go. We made it in right before 6pm and managed to get a full dinner for the two of us. Unfortunately our tab was still $55 but what do you do? The service is touch and go but the sushi is generally on-par. It's our go-to for local sushi date night.

I usually go to ITR on Brookside or downtown but tried this one last night. It was busy when I got there but still got sat immediately surprisingly. I wish I remembered my servers name... she was SO good! Super quick and friendly. My food was 10/10. I started with a 1/2 ITR salad then got the ID roll. (It's one of my faves). Everything about my experience was a home run. I'll definitely be back!

Good food, good service. We've been waiting a long time to try In the Raw because our friends highly recommended it. Double date, we had a great time but I feel like our friends are the only reason we are here. The food was good, nothing wrong with it but we have our favorite sushi place and this one didn't go above and beyond. Our friends brother is one of the chefs here but he didn't work this day so that was a bummer, we would have loved to see his work. We had an appetizer of chochobi beef that was incredible and probably the very best part of the meal. I'll go back just for the appetizer

The food was great one thing that I wasn't expecting and I have never seen is that they taxed me for the liquor I felt blindsided honestly.

Sushi was off and nigiri pieces were too big. Service was good however and is at a good spot on main.

Wonderful place to eat! The atmosphere and service are always great. The ITR salad is delicious, the blueberry lemon drop is my fav drink.

Hi everyone! What are some cooked rolls that you like? I'm pregnant and craving sushi but clearly need everything to be cooked :)

A few great ones include the tempura shrimp roll, the keaton, the taylor, the dunwell, and the volcano!

The chef and wait staff friendly and always a pleasure. However, the last take out order was not up to par for what we have always experienced with MoJ. We very frequently order the same thing: Sushi Regular and Shrimp Fried Rice, so this was not like a one-off. My husband said the shrimp was hard and when I plated it, it smelled like rancid oil. My sushi had cloudy salmon roe that I have never seen before, and my husband said the tuna tasted very fishy, and he could not eat it. The surf clam piece was chewy and when fresh, it is not chewy. I wish I had taken pictures but nothing _looked_ bad except for the salmon roe. Aside from the decline in quality, the wait staff is mostly new and not friendly. This will affect the ambience. I'm not concerned about decor. That can change. But with unfriendly staff, I am not inclined to dine in to see what else has changed. One guy was abrupt to my husband during a phone call. He said the guy had "a tone." This is not New York where no one should be offended by locals' rapid-fire conversations. This is Oklahoma where people are supposed to be more polite and patient, especially wait staff. While it may seem that I'm being overly critical, please bear in mind that after 20 years of consistent quality, suddenly we get poor quality and unhappy staff. I don't know if ownership has changed or if the previous owner has turned operations over to someone else, but I cannot give MoJ 5 stars anymore.

When going to Memories of Japan, I would recommend getting the Tulsa Fried Bean Curd appetizer (fried tofu). The soft tofu is coated with a thin layer of batter and is then deep fried. The end product is a crunchy coat and super soft silky tofu inside. This fried tofu dish is very different to any other fried tofu elsewhere and it was delicious. The sauce that came with the dish was bland and lacked flavors. The sushi at Memories of Japan were good. The special rolls, Alaska and Florida roll, were $8.95 each. Let me tell you, I haven't seen specialty rolls this cheap. Of course, there are more expensive rolls on the menu. In terms of sushi, Sushi Hana is better and so is Oishi. I liked the decorations inside the restaurant. Nothing extravagant but they made the place look more oriental. Service was excellent. I would say if you are looking for the best sushi, Memories of Japan is not that place. Go to Sushi Hana for that. If you want good sushi that does not cost you an arm or a leg, then you come to the right place. 4 stars plus an extra star for affordability factor.

The bill could have been under $20 without a hidden fee (possibly credit card fee). What's more amazing about Kofu is it's also on the list of restaurants on cash back apps for additional discounts. Their mushroom soup was only $2 and it tasted delicious. The Kani salad was only $4.50 and also delicious. The tuna & mango roll was large and only $11.50. They initially charged me $12.50 but I got them to lower it to $11.50 since that was the price on the menu. I felt bad for doing it since that roll definitely was worth more than $12.50. For that price, the roll tasted amazing. Now, just to be clear I did not say that it was the best. This restaurant is far from being considered fancy. There are only 9 tables or so in the entire restaurant's lobby. The building looks old and has signs of being worn out. But giving how the food tasted for the cheapest price in Tulsa, I would highly recommend. In fact it's going to be on my list of best Asian restaurants near Tulsa. I will definitely be back. I am hoping they won't update their prices on the menu.
