This has become one of my favorite bakeries in Chinatown! I stumbled upon this small bakery along Division Street one evening as it was closing. While most of the buns had already sold out, I decided to try a very robust-looking red bean swirl milk bread loaf ($5.50), the kind that I used to have as a kid often for breakfast. It was reminiscent of and nearly as good as the best of what my mom used to buy from the Taiwanese bakeries in the Bay Area. More expensive but I believe larger than similar loaves in the NYC area, this milk bread is one of the best I've had of late and so worth it. My kids also loved it and have been asking for more.
I've also ordered the mei fun and ho fun, both of which were very good. Oily, yes, but not as much as many of the other Chinatown establishments. My kids especially liked the mei fun.
The staff were all friendly and helpful. The prices were reasonable. I would definitely return, especially to try their buns and coconut milk bread. read more
