Used to be good but it's not the same as back then. I had to wait a long time to get some service as the lady was busy tending to someone else who couldn't make up their mind. The other workers who came out from the back just looked at me and ignored me. I came here to get the tofu pudding but it was really watery and not as much tofu. The ginger syrup is tasty though. Sadly I don't think I'll be back for the tofu pudding

After lunch in Chinatown, we stumbled upon this hole in the wall for some dessert. I got a small cup of Tofu Pudding ($3), which was delicious. It was still warm even when I got home 2 hours later. It comes with some syrup to pour over the silky tofu to give it a nice sweetness (otherwise, the tofu is very bland). There's lots of other yummy goodies like frozen dumplings, buns, mochi, noodles and more here too!

Glutinous rice with mushrooms and tofu! (Vegan lotus wrap) yummm

A Super hole in the wall! It looks nondescript with single item menu papers hanging around. They're known for their soy bean milk, lotus wrapped rice balls and mochi like desserts. Also! They sell bags of frozen dumplings if you want to stock up on some yummy dumplings at home. Whenever I go to dim sum, my favorite thing is lo mai gai so when I saw the variety of lotus wrapped rice here naturally I had to try. I ordered the vegan one mushroom/tofu and the pork peanut combo. Both are super sticky and flavorful. I just wish the mushroom one was bigger! It's a tiny drop but with a ton of mushrooms. So if you're going for that one, get a few:) so delicious! I also tried some desserts. The herbal black sesame mochi in a shape of a flower and little dumplings filled with custard. Both were just okay. The soy milk was pretty good though but next time I'll try the herbal tea. Love that they have the non sweetened options. Overall very tasty! The service is great -- if you have questions they'll help you navigate the choices since they don't have one solid menu. AND it's very affordable. I got 2 lotus wraps, 2 dessert containers and soy milk and it was around $13. Perfect place if you're balling on the budget.

What a throwback this place is for traditional comfort sweets. The tofu pudding is hot, silky and has a nice clean taste. Very comforting for $3!! I also picked up a few packages of cookies to bring to relatives so we will see how they are. Love this old school place and if you are a fan of tofu pudding, come here! Cash only.

Cross-section of yummy Sugar Cake / Bai Tang Gao / Puto

Love this place for their ready supply of Bai Tang Gao, white sugar cake, that my Filipino heritage calls "puto" and the nice Chinese ladies who work the counter, know the word "puto" to my delight! The place has a huge yellow "46" emblazoned on the front canopy sign, so you can't miss it. I love puto/ BaiTang Gao, so this place is an easy fave. Bai Tang Gao is so soft, like a medium-firm gelatin that you can eat with your fingers if you like, and I like!

Always come here for some herbal tea, tofu pudding, and some the round rice cake things. I even left some stuff when I was leaving and when I realized and called back they said I can pick it up the next time I'm there. So nice!

Come here if you want some childhood snacks and desserts (tofu fa, grass jelly, putzai go, sweet rice cake, tea eggs, zongzhi, etc) I love their tofu fa. You can get it either hot or cold. I also like that they give you more than 1 syrup if you get a large. For $5 it was not bad at all.

Initially, I was planning to visit Fong On, but after reading reviews suggesting changes to their tofu pudding, I decided to come here instead. The choice was well worth it! I ordered a large, hot dou hua (tofu pudding), which came in a sturdy plastic container. Freshly made each morning, the pudding was incredibly smooth and came with a gingery brown sugar sauce on the side, perfectly complementing the delicate tofu. I also couldn't resist trying their tea egg, marinated to perfection with a rich soy sauce flavor. And the freshly made, unsweetened soy milk was especially nostalgic; it had a deep soybean flavor that took me back to the days of buying fresh soy milk from street vendors in Taiwan. While I didn't get a chance to try their famous zongzi (sticky rice wrapped in bamboo leaves) this time, the aroma was incredible, and I'll definitely be back for it. With no seating, this narrow takeout-only spot is ideal for a quick stop. Service was fast and no-nonsense, and they take credit cards. Affordable and packed with authentic flavor, 46 Mott is a true gem for anyone looking to indulge in traditional snacks and desserts in NYC's Chinatown.

Small shop with quick service and tasty, classic Dou Hua (tofu pudding). The line forms inside the shop, and the tofu pudding comes with a little sauce packet. It comes at a good price, but the cashier seemed upset when we asked for a spoon. The service is quick and does not have seating, so it's convenient for takeout. There were a few people also inside ordering when we went on a Saturday around noon.

The rice sticks to the leaves. Not fresh.

I've never tried a Japanese cheesecake before and was extremely excited to be able to pick up some treats for my coworkers as well as my partner's birthday cake from Keki. Ordering is fairly straightforward and done with a simple machine outfront. Once your order is ready one of the staff members hands it to you through a window; there is no inside area accessible to customers but our food came quickly and we took it back to the office. The cheesecake was fantastic. I read a bit about the background of the shop online and how the owner really cares about using high-quality ingredients, specifically dairy. It was justas described, light and bouncy. I enjoyed how it was not overly sweet and found that it was all too easy to devour the entire cake over the course of two days. Despite it not having much weight to it, it traveled surprisingly well as I took it home on my three train commute! Similar to what others have said, the real highlight of the shop, in my opinion, are their cream puffs. I'm not sure what I was expecting, but the outer layer was thin yet had a nice little crunch to it. We tried the classic milk, cookies & cream pistachio and ube flavors. Our favorite was the pistachio by far, which had such a unique yet decadent flavor and our second favorite was the milk cream puff. There's not much else I can say other than you really have to go here and try the desserts yourself. If you're a fan of Japanese desserts that are rich yet not too sweet, you'll be a fan of Keki.

Just did take out option here so not much to ambiance or service from my experience to speak on.

And I commonly see the upstairs for private events like baby showers, bridal showers, or birthday parties on social media. After dinner with my friends, I was looking for dessert and I was glad to see this location closes relatively late on a weekday night at 11 pm. Upon walking in, I was greeted by a waiter who led us to one of the purple velvet chair booths that was perfect for two people and another waiter brought us a pitcher of water almost immediately. The menu is on a QR code already on the table and we were given ample of time to decide. My friend and I both already knew what we wanted to order. I got the purple Yam Souffle which takes 25 minutes to make and my friend got the fried squid tails. We also got a signature Rose Green Milk Tea to share. The waitress who took our order has great memory and recalled all of our items without writing it down. She also reminded me that I could adjust the ice and sugar levels of my drink which I had completely forgotten and would have got annoyed if my drink came out 100% sweetness. Another thing is that my drink order frequently comes out wrong at other locations so I was glad she got it right! Green tea instead of black tea and with milk instead of without milk. The purple Yam Souffle is just like the other locations. Hot, soft cakey texture balanced with an ice cold red bean Ice-Cream. So delicious! The squid tails on the other hand was not what we expected. It came out burnt and hard. The outer batter was not crispy either. We informed one of the waiters and he brought it back to inform the kitchen staff. We received a new batch that was not as burnt and had more flavoring this time around. However, the squid was still hard and not like the ones we get from other locations with smaller crispier pieces. Overall, it was still a good experience and I love the decorations at this location! This might be my second favorite location after the Flushing one. Would love to come back for brunch or hi-tea. Or regular food options when I have not already eaten dinner. My usual go-tos are the twister fries, Santa Fe chicken rolls, fried salted crispy chicken, and the trio dessert combo. However, this location has a lot more variety! FYI - there are two unisex restrooms in the rear for customers to use with really cute wallpapers too.

We ordered potted rose milk tea to share, Dubai affogato and Brown Sugar Boba Mille Crêpes Cake. We came on a Friday around 4pm. Originally I wanted to try the strawberry matchamisu, however, was told that it sold out. What a bummer. The rose milk tea came with a themed pot and cups which is really cute. The rose fragrant smelled so good and the milk tea also tasted good and has a hint of rose taste. The cake was good, the boba was well cooked, chewy and flavorful! This time there was an unpleasant experience. At first when the Dubai affogato was served, we did not realize that the amount of the coffee was little until we saw another customer's dish that the volume of their coffee looked significantly more than ours. My friend brought it to the waitress attention but the waitress brushed it off and did not acknowledge our concern. When we finished and were about to leave, the same waitress came over and showed us that the container of the coffee was different and hence the volume of the coffee looked different. At this point, we did not care for it anymore. We would have been fine if the staff acknowledged our concern. We thought that maybe using standardized containers for the coffee would avoid this problem. Other than that, the food and drinks were good.
