This is the goat place. Super friendly staff. The soy milk is legit. Tea eggs and tofu dessert are amazing. 100/100.

Wide selection of items made in-store. I liked the mochi a lot as it was extremely fresh and liked the option of the HK style desserts and pork buns. Service was excellent. The person at the register spoke fluent English, Cantonese, and mandarin. They carry frozen buns, fresh buns, tea eggs, silk tofu, soy milk, and many other items. Can't wait to go back!

The menu. I ordered the peanut, pork, and salted egg zing

There's no better way to explore Chinatown than to simply wander around. I was craving a zongzi, but it was difficult to find online. As luck had it, and just when I was about to lose hope, I stumbled on this shop. I poked my head in and found, to my delight, the treat I was looking for. As soon as I came in, I had a good feeling about the place. The shop owner kept the zongzi in a steamer, so it came to me piping hot. The lotus leaves were fragrant. The rice was hot and sticky. The pork was delicious and so was the salted egg. The peanuts added a nice, nutty texture to it all. I'm so glad I found this place. I will definitely come here again to order more of the zongzi.

Used to be good but it's not the same as back then. I had to wait a long time to get some service as the lady was busy tending to someone else who couldn't make up their mind. The other workers who came out from the back just looked at me and ignored me. I came here to get the tofu pudding but it was really watery and not as much tofu. The ginger syrup is tasty though. Sadly I don't think I'll be back for the tofu pudding

$3 for a small hot tofu dessert with a sugar to pour on top. Not ginger sugar.

A must stop in Chinatown that packs so many goodies in a compact space. Tofu pudding with ginger syrup and herbal mochi are favorites, but they also have fresh soy sauce milk and so much more.

After lunch in Chinatown, we stumbled upon this hole in the wall for some dessert. I got a small cup of Tofu Pudding ($3), which was delicious. It was still warm even when I got home 2 hours later. It comes with some syrup to pour over the silky tofu to give it a nice sweetness (otherwise, the tofu is very bland). There's lots of other yummy goodies like frozen dumplings, buns, mochi, noodles and more here too!

Glutinous rice with mushrooms and tofu! (Vegan lotus wrap) yummm

A Super hole in the wall! It looks nondescript with single item menu papers hanging around. They're known for their soy bean milk, lotus wrapped rice balls and mochi like desserts. Also! They sell bags of frozen dumplings if you want to stock up on some yummy dumplings at home. Whenever I go to dim sum, my favorite thing is lo mai gai so when I saw the variety of lotus wrapped rice here naturally I had to try. I ordered the vegan one mushroom/tofu and the pork peanut combo. Both are super sticky and flavorful. I just wish the mushroom one was bigger! It's a tiny drop but with a ton of mushrooms. So if you're going for that one, get a few:) so delicious! I also tried some desserts. The herbal black sesame mochi in a shape of a flower and little dumplings filled with custard. Both were just okay. The soy milk was pretty good though but next time I'll try the herbal tea. Love that they have the non sweetened options. Overall very tasty! The service is great -- if you have questions they'll help you navigate the choices since they don't have one solid menu. AND it's very affordable. I got 2 lotus wraps, 2 dessert containers and soy milk and it was around $13. Perfect place if you're balling on the budget.

Amazing!

What a throwback this place is for traditional comfort sweets. The tofu pudding is hot, silky and has a nice clean taste. Very comforting for $3!! I also picked up a few packages of cookies to bring to relatives so we will see how they are. Love this old school place and if you are a fan of tofu pudding, come here! Cash only.

Cross-section of yummy Sugar Cake / Bai Tang Gao / Puto
Hector S.

Love this place for their ready supply of Bai Tang Gao, white sugar cake, that my Filipino heritage calls "puto" and the nice Chinese ladies who work the counter, know the word "puto" to my delight! The place has a huge yellow "46" emblazoned on the front canopy sign, so you can't miss it. I love puto/ BaiTang Gao, so this place is an easy fave. Bai Tang Gao is so soft, like a medium-firm gelatin that you can eat with your fingers if you like, and I like!

Always come here for some herbal tea, tofu pudding, and some the round rice cake things. I even left some stuff when I was leaving and when I realized and called back they said I can pick it up the next time I'm there. So nice!

Large tofu fa $5
Mimee S.

Come here if you want some childhood snacks and desserts (tofu fa, grass jelly, putzai go, sweet rice cake, tea eggs, zongzhi, etc) I love their tofu fa. You can get it either hot or cold. I also like that they give you more than 1 syrup if you get a large. For $5 it was not bad at all.

Amavi is a great place to celebrate a birthday if you like a loud, DJ spinning, hookah smoking, over priced Mediterranean restaurant, this is the place for you. Standouts: branzino cooked to perfection, dangerously good pita (we ordered extra), and the shrimp skewer. The hanger steak and lobster arrabbiata (could've been spicier) were also hits. Chicken skewer? Just okay. We had thLychee martinis & Dreams of Amalfi Hazelnut bar, crème brûlée (we topped itwith melted chocolate from the cheesecake), and Dubai chocolate cheesecake On the pricier side, but worth it for the ambiance, service, and flavors. Perfect spot for date nights, birthdays & special moments.

I've never tried a Japanese cheesecake before and was extremely excited to be able to pick up some treats for my coworkers as well as my partner's birthday cake from Keki. Ordering is fairly straightforward and done with a simple machine outfront. Once your order is ready one of the staff members hands it to you through a window; there is no inside area accessible to customers but our food came quickly and we took it back to the office. The cheesecake was fantastic. I read a bit about the background of the shop online and how the owner really cares about using high-quality ingredients, specifically dairy. It was justas described, light and bouncy. I enjoyed how it was not overly sweet and found that it was all too easy to devour the entire cake over the course of two days. Despite it not having much weight to it, it traveled surprisingly well as I took it home on my three train commute! Similar to what others have said, the real highlight of the shop, in my opinion, are their cream puffs. I'm not sure what I was expecting, but the outer layer was thin yet had a nice little crunch to it. We tried the classic milk, cookies & cream pistachio and ube flavors. Our favorite was the pistachio by far, which had such a unique yet decadent flavor and our second favorite was the milk cream puff. There's not much else I can say other than you really have to go here and try the desserts yourself. If you're a fan of Japanese desserts that are rich yet not too sweet, you'll be a fan of Keki.

There are lots of other tart places that do something sinilar and didn't really think these were that memorable. But read this keeping in mind I didn't try to cake items so that product may be better if all you're looking for is a light fluffy dessert that's not too sweet. Try something else here! Just did take out option here so not much to ambiance or service from my experience to speak on.

We worked with Eric via email and he was great managing and making sure everything was settled ahead of the event. On the day of our lunch, we arrived around 20 minutes early and the table was already set up. We had two servers throughout the meal and they were lovely. They made sure everything was set up and we had everything we needed. For a large group reservation, they have a $60 minimum and you order everything ahead of time. (The afternoon tea set is mandatory for everyone to get). We had the afternoon tea set, caprese tarts and strawberry parfait for all attendees. The food was filling and tasty. Tea is always so good as well (I always get my Rose Lovers Milk Tea!) All in all, a great option for a group reservation in the city!

The size of both were the perfect amount since we just wanted something small to end the night. The ube crepe cake was really light and creamy. The ube flavor was pretty subtle, and I mostly tasted the cream. It's a perfect light dessert, but I would've liked the ube flavor to be stronger. The chocolate lava cake was super rich and decadent but also really delicious. I feel like it kinda battled with the ube crepe cake since they're total opposites. The staff were friendly. The interior was really cute and had a relaxing type of atmosphere that made it great for a nice place to sit, chat, and have dessert.
