Super mediocre, no flavor on anything. The food seems as if it was bought out of the frozen food section at Walmart.

Straight no chaser place. We love it!

Hubby and I were originally going to a nice restaurant in downtown Brevard called The Falls but we happened to come across this cute little drive-in place. I thought we can have a pre-dinner burger and a shake. We parked and almost ordered th right the drive-in but decided to go inside the restaurant. That was when we said "never mind about fine dining". The inside had black and white floor and pictures of Marilyn Monroe and James Dean like a mural alongside a juke box which was also a mural and not a real working one. It's a 1950's diner but we had to order our food from a red phone that every table had. The phone didn't have a keypad just a the part you speak into. Don't think I handled one of those in many years. I read a review that the phones didn't work but it was surreal to order your dinner over the phone inside a drive-in restaurant. The phone worked for us. The food was another story. Giving it. 2 Star for effort but it was a cute place.

Drive up & order!

Cardinal has been here since 1976. They must be doing it right! Service was quick and I enjoyed my chili dog and chocolate shake.

I've driven the ten miles from my home, passing the "other" drive-in on the way, just to get the hot fudge cake.

If I could give this a higher score than 5 stars I would!…read moreOut of every place I've ever reviewed, this has definitely earned the #1 highest rating I could give. Everything about this place was absolutely exceptional. Starting with service! The woman that greeted us when we came in and took our order, is one of the sweetest ladies ever. I just kept telling my husband after each small interaction with her "oh my gosh I just love her". It's an incredibly warm and inviting space, and I wish we lived closer just to be able to experience that alone more often. But lord have mercy, the food? They knocked it out of the park!!! They have a huge menu with all sorts of stuff that you don't see super often. We got the Chicago dog, the BBQ burger, the sweet potato fries, onion rings, and a blackberry shake. Those sweet potato fries will have me dreaming about them until I can make my way back here. There's no amount of praise to do this place justice! All I can say is, if you haven't tried stopping by here for a meal, you absolutely need to!

Big credit goes to Corky's for serving Vienna Hot Dogs from Chicago on poppy seed buns! The cost…read more is a little more than what you'd pay for the exact same thing in Chicago, but you're not in Chicago! They also serve Italian Beef sandwiches, not exactly the same as what you'd find in Chicago, but big kudos for the effort. This is a good place, and they have good hours and are open everyday..

The menu is creative, thoughtful, and clearly driven by a chef who knows what they're doing. Every dish feels intentional, with bold flavors and elevated execution that go well beyond typical small-town expectations. What really stands out is how well it all comes together. It's not just creative for the sake of it--the food delivers. Great balance, great presentation, and dishes that actually live up to the vision. If you're looking for something a step above while in Brevard, this is the spot. It punches way above its weight.

He Said: We had intended to get dinner at a nearby brewery, but a cover charge for a band (fair!)…read morediscouraged us from hanging out. I called over to the Square Root to check the kitchen timing (it was getting on 8) and all was well. We managed a seat at the bar and this was perfect for us. We chatted a bit with the servers, who were amazing. There is a ton enjoyment for the job and the space going on here. We also met some semi-locals who were awesome. Shout out to "Kendall-Jackson"! The menu is full of local ingredients and plenty of temptations. The specials were even more tempting and we grabbed oysters to kick it off. The pepper/spicy mignonette is so so good. It's just the right mix of classic and new. I didn't need the other sauce, especially with just 6 oysters. I eyed the yellowtail snapper (snapper, right? def not tuna) special, but opted for the Korean chicken sandwich. Quite good! I could have used a stronger flavor from the kimchi and, frankly, less of a mess, but the cook was just right, the flavor profiles were excellent, and the portion was plenty. A really good sandwich! I had the sweet potato chips as my side and I can see why they are popular. We kept the leftover sauces from the oysters just so I could dip my chips. Good call! She Said: I'd like to start by complimenting the fantastic staff. They've obviously been here a while, and they're enthusiastic about this place. He Said covered the oysters (yum!) and the mignonette (double yum!), so I'll focus on the mushroom tart that I got as my meal. The rough puff was really done well, and the mushroom and goat cheese combo was terrific. I thought they would be inside the pastry, but I adapted. The whole dish was terrific, and though I thought it was too salty for me, I also know that I'm sensitive to salt. All in all, we will definitely be back! Potty Points: no trip to the potty for me on this one!
