I was told they could only exchange them for the exact same product, but since that item wasn't in stock I'd have to contact the manufacturer myself. I wasn't asking for a refund, just an exchange or store credit for an item that was defective on day one. Most retailers stand behind the products they sell, especially when something fails immediately. Unfortunately, that wasn't my experience here, so I can't recommend shopping at a place that doesn't take responsibility for defective items.

Went in to look at cards and check out what they had. Found a few cards we were interested in and…read morenoticed they were EXTREMELY overpriced. We took a min to look up comps on our phone and approached the owner asking if we were able to buy the cards but negotiate before hand. He said that was fine doing so and we showed him comps and asked if he would sell around or near those comps and he flat out refused and started to get upset with us and even took the cards and slid them across the table and said it's off the table a min after talking over prices. Was extremely unprofessional and condescending his attitude towards especially my wife. recommend going there unless you're looking to pay well worth over comps and have the owner get upset with you in the process.

Apparently, this displeased the cashier because for my buttons, which were clearly marked 2.99 each, she charged me $9.98 for the buttons. A naughty tax because I wasn't painting the correct thing? For a "Christian" store, you do not behave Christ like in any way. Jesus accepted all the weirdos: lepers, prostitutes, the weak and marginalized. I should not be overcharged because my project is "unacceptable." I will never walk into another of your stores again.

I cleaned up on top quality wrapping paper after Christmas which is year round paper really. Since Christmas isn't my jam I always try to get neutral paper for wrapping. I have used a lot of it and people have commented on how much they like the paper... I wish it was more about the present inside. lol But I buy a lot of my frames there too. They always have some sort of sale so you don't have to pay full price too... You won't be disappointed... they too have a drive up option if you order oine!

Happy place for the gamer. Selection through the roof for the big kids…read more Retro or current. Table or video. The games are there and the pop culture fun selection is a lot. There is a bit of everything here. The prices are wide range depending on what you are looking for. I know this is not the only location around, but this is the Ankeny location. There is a ton in here. I haven't looked at everything in this store but some things are comic books, board games, action figures, vinyl, toys, game system accessories. I was there to see if they wanted purchase something from me. They have a space in the back where they will take and see if they will buy off you. They offer cash and store credit. They entire store has a great vibe. Even though I didn't purchase something this time I left with a smile on my face and knowledge that I would be back.

There's an abundance of seating in the back for gamers to get together and there's even a separate LEGO room. They also have movies, comic books, funko pops, and so much more! This location in particular, is probably my most visited one, but also my least liked of the three. Even so, it's still a great store. When it comes to retro and vintage items, you can always find exactly what you're looking for on sites like eBay. The fun part of Jay's, is not knowing what you want and just browsing. More times than not, I don't buy anything from this location. The selection of items is usually better at the other locations. That's the only reason it's not a 5-star rating for me. Value wise, I think their prices rival eBay, and you can buy it on the spot instead of waiting for shipping. Staff always seems friendly and helpful also.
