The organizers did a great job at adapting to both locations. The music was wonderful and the displays were fun and festive. The move to the Outlet Mall just didn't work for us. We attended the Sip and Shop and gladly donated $50, but the experience was underwhelming. The Sip and Shop was a number of local crafters and a 'bar' that had a few cheap wines, a handful of beer selections, and a few spiked drinks. They had 2 people manning it, and the line was consistently 20-40 people deep. The bigger light displays are around the outside of the mall, and the walking section of the mall has been decorated, but it was much more commercial, and not the Holiday ambiance of past years. They sanding their news release that they were moving to a more immersive experience as this was what attendees wanted. I wish them the best, and I'm glad to send a donation, but the move to the mall just didn't work for me.

PRO TIP: GO AT OPENING in a weekday to beat the traffic and crowds. 5:30 pm I believe when they open. There are no lines and it makes it way more enjoyable. Jolly Holiday Lights have been around for many many years, so they know how to manage their traffic flow. I appreciate that. I don't want to be stuck in long lines with so many little kids in the car. I noticed there are bathroom pit stops along the way of the lights!!! Very nice and convenient. I highly recommend as a family fun winter activity. I would not be attending any other light show but this one.

The arrangement I selected had some flowers that weren't readily available in February, and the website told me substitutions may be necessary, and I said ok, so was surprised when the owner, Candy, called me to offer some options: I could wait for new flower shipments to arrive, or she could use the freshest alternatives she had on hand, to be delivered the next day. I chose the latter, as time was of the essence, and was again surprised when she texted me a photo of the lovely arrangement she had put together, and a note that she had already delivered the flowers! Turned out, Candy knew the family the flowers were going to, which shows the strong connection she has with the community of Knoxville. I love supporting local businesses like this, and Candi's has been going strong for 42 years! I highly recommend her shop, to anyone looking for high quality flowers, with a warm and personal touch!!!

Then I met her in person, and our design meeting was probably the most fun meeting I've had planning our wedding. Shelly actually designed florals for both my rehearsal dinner and wedding, and both designs were so unique and different! We had so many plans for beautiful, summery florals before our June wedding got postponed due to COVID. Despite our new wedding date being in December, Shelly made sure we had the original flowers we had planned for and literally had them FLOWN IN from South America! Our wedding guests were in awe asking how we had managed to get these florals in December. But that's Shelly for you. She went above and beyond for us to have the wedding we had originally envisioned. Overall our wedding weekend was extremely beautiful, and that is in a large part due to Shelly's creative and gorgeous designs. She really took my vision and turned it into a reality, the highlight of which was our jaw-dropping chuppah for our Jewish ceremony, which was later re-purposed for our reception (design and functionality = my favorite combination!). She also has some beautiful props we utilized, such as shelving and goblets, so don't forget to ask her about those. Thank you so much Shelly for turning my floral dreams into a reality!
