I bought my fiance's wedding ring and band here and I had wonderful service. I would suggest making an appointment if you already have a ring or another piece in mind so that you can be helped immediately, particularly on weekends. Otherwise you should be able to walk right in and have someone assist you on week days. As part of their service they like to make sure that you are educated as a buyer, which was great for me being that I had never bought a diamond ring before. They had booklets that I could keep and worked with me for about a hour just educating me about diamonds. They brought out several diamonds, showing me different qualities and sizes so I knew exactly what I wanted and why diamonds are priced the way they are. They even told me to go to a few other location first to get a feel and talk to other stores just so I could understand the market and then decide if the ring I had picked there was still the ring I wanted the following week. Overall they really care about their customers and they don't work off of commission, so they are not pushy. The only draw back is that they are still upper end so I would seriously consider your budget if you are planning on buying a ring here. It's well worth it but if you you don't have a solid amount saved up you may be only disappointed when you see all the other rings in the store.

Store is presented in a clean, and organized fashion. I can, and have, spent hours upon hours looking through the store and admiring everything they have to offer. Staff are EXTREMELY knowledgeable, EXTREMELY kind, and give FAIR prices for whatever I bring in. Not only this, but all of the prices for coins, stamps n' other stuff are very reasonable, but not outrageous. If you are looking to sell any coinage, jewelry, or any bullion this is the place to go!! Many coin stores will often try to lowball customers who bring in items they have no clue about, but this store IS NOT one of them. I have brought in more than a few items with my girlfriend, and being college students with no clue how much those items were actually worth and not being too involved in the passion we could've been given prices that didn't match the actual value. Instead, they gave us accurate appraisals and walked us through how they value the coins and what price they would purchase them from us. They also were not pushy about trying to buy right there at the spot (we actually kept all of them and will start collecting coinage). I'm new to the hobby; however, the staff treated me with complete respect and were willing to teach me anything that I wanted to know about. In fact, I never really expected to be interested in the hobby, but the staff made me feel welcome and actually led me to delve into the passion of coin collecting--I've even begun to coin roll hunt thanks to them!

Andy called just to let me know that he was going to be on vacation for a week, to make sure I didn't happen to stop by while he was away. That's incredible service from a one-man shop! I've had cheap frames from chain retailers literally fall apart on my wall (I'm looking at one from Jerry's Artarama that's disintegrating as I write). Andy's work isn't cheap, but his price is reasonable and his craftsmanship is exceptional. I've had him frame three different pieces now over the past six months and he's never pushed expensive frames or glass - he's always worked with my budget to produce a beautiful custom product. I'm glad I gave Andy a try and will continue to send him my framing projects.

Very few places have office furniture in Des Moines, NONE have the selection of JG's. They have both new and used and I purchased a little bit of both. They have fake plants, real plants, art, desks, shelving, chairs and they even had some really cool lockers. Jake stayed after close helping us get measurements (even though he knew we were not buying anything that night) and then went out of his way to make sure I had a quote that night so I could decide on what I wanted. He was very accommodating and even put up with my back and forth on a couple items. He made sure it was delivered quickly so my office was up and running and then met me Saturday (they're closed Saturdays) when I decided I wanted an office chair. I can't say enough good things about this company. Iowa owned and operated (as in the family actually works there)! They even gave my daughter an arrow head before we left which absolutely made her day. Support local, support good people, and get yourself a heck of a deal!
