I was at home not expecting anyone to knock on my door and this young man named Adam came to the door. I politely said I wasn't interested in his services and he was so nice I asked him a couple questions and the next thing I knew I was making an appointment. I feel that a company that trains their people this good needs some praise along with Adam. I feel this young man has a good future in whatever he does. So i had my appoint with Julius and Marc and it was very informative and they were super friendly. As all salesmen do they did ask for the commitment but when i told them I would like to consult with my sister they were very understanding and nice. Installation finally complete on our project, 4 months after signing the contract on what should have been 2-3 work days. Communication from the scheduling team did get better, though the Carbon project manager continued to be MIA to the end. The subcontractor they hired did a great job on the install, which makes me wish we had just gone directly with them instead. My general feeling is that our small project did not rise to the level of importance for some of the Carbon staff, which is unfortunate as we have a much bigger project coming up next, and were using this as a test run. Had this gone well, we could have just rolled into that remodel, but now our search will continue. read more

We have had so many Roofing Company's stop and tell us how bad our garage roof was over the last year. We knew. With El Niño coming, we realized we needed to pull the trigger now. One salesman in particular really caught our attention because I didn't feel like we were just a number to him, especially given it was a smaller job. That salesman was Kevin. The job was only about a third of our entire roof needing to be replaced. From the minute we started talking to him we felt like we were family. He's not your typical salesman. He has a heart, he's genuine, he puts it all out on the table. He answers questions thoroughly. The paperwork was so easy and clear. I knew what I was signing. Then came the workforce to remove the solar panels,, old shingles and paper. They were respectful, quick and on time. Nobody stood around talking. They just worked. Then when it got time to replace the rotted wood underneath and put down the new shingles, one young man arrived and waited for the materials to be delivered that morning. Again, he was on time, in fact, early. He asked if I had any questions, which I did not. This young man worked from seven in the morning until seven last night, only after confirming with us that we were fine with him working later. I am so impressed by everybody at this company. The job they did, especially with the repair and was significant, has been fabulous. The communication has been excellent. Everything that they have told us has been spot on. Nothing's cheap these days, but I know that we are waterproof when El Niño hits. read more

I wanted to share my experience working with Carbon remodeling. I hired them to replace all my rotted-out Fascia Boards and replace my 30-year-old roof. First off, the person that knocked on my door was very friendly and pointed out the damage he saw on my house. I have been putting off doing any work, but i decided to finally get it done. We set up an appointment the following day for an inspection. The Sales rep showed up on time and did an inspection and showed me pictures of the rotted wood and the fiberglass on my shingles. We then sat down for a presentation showing me the roof material they suggested to replace my roof with. We talked about the company, the product and pricing, which was fair for all the work that was going to be done. Everything seemed professional so I decided to move forward same day. I got a welcome call the next day and we set up a date next week to get started. Day one was pretty quick as the crew removed and replaced ALL the fascia around the house which made a huge difference. The roof started 2 days later and took about 4 days. I was a little nervous because of the rain the following week, but the crew worked the weekend to get it done. Overall, it was a great experience. They did their best to keep the area clean after each day and returned at the end of the project to do a final clean up and pick up the last check. I will be hiring them again to do my repaint and fix my stucco. Looking forward to getting everything finally fixed. read more

We signed a contract with Carbon Remodeling in San Diego on August 7 for a bathroom remodel. Since then we have had two "re-measurements," paid over 25% of the cost, had half a dozen promises that materials had been ordered, many promises that someone would call "today" and nothing but frustration from this company. Today, almost 7 weeks after signing a contract, we finally got another confirmation that our order has shipped - I had to ask twice for an update (maybe the three previous confirmations were simply hopeful wishes?). After that an internal QC will be necessary, THEN they will be able to schedule construction. Anticipated start date was September 6 with anticipated finish date October 6. Now it looks like they won't even get started until then! This has been a VERY FRUSTRATING experience. I only continued because of the (mostly) good reviews. The installers must be top notch since their front office staff leaves much to be desired. read more

We had some roof tiles randomly slide off one part of the roof one day, which was scary considering how heavy roof tiles are. Turns out some of the wood was so corroded the nails just lost their hold and the weight of a few tiles pulled down more tiles. We called several roofing companies including Carbon Remodeling (our neighbor had used them and said good things). James came out and he was very kind, knowledgeable, and even used a drone to take multiple pictures of the roof. I really like how he explained everything, including the scheduling and finance options. Once the project began, I was very impressed with how clean and organized everything was. The new roof tiles and repairs look very nice and overall, we were pleased with the work. There was some damage to our rain gutters from the demo process and at the end of the project some of the wood facia they replaced was not primed. I think the true test of a company is how they handle it when things go wrong. Carbon replaced the broken gutters and came out and primed the wood. If I had to offer a suggestion, I would like to have had someone (like a foreman or project manager) or even James come back out and schedule a final walk through. I remember toward the end, the roof looked "done" and workers just stopped coming. I asked myself, "Are they done?" I then I noticed the damage and contacted James who put me in touch with other members of the company. There was a little communication issue at first, but it was eventually resolved. Charles, one of the owners I believe is a real stand up guy. His word is gold. You know if he says it, it will happen. He does what he says he will do when he says he will do it. You can count on him. Nothing went well after the salesman left. Promises of start dates came and went. I was given names and numbers of project managers that never returned calls or texts. I was given a project manager and we exchanged contact information. When I contacted him, he didn't know who I was. They finally have agreed to refund my deposit and pick up materials that they delivered in an unmarked van onto my front yard. I thought I was being scammed. I WAS NOT Scammed! We couldnt be any happier, the home first it was poor shape due to the fact i had latex paint all around it, we didnt paint the house for years and didnt know that it was an upkeeping project where homeowners really needed to keep repainting. Honestly the rich can only afford to keep painting. The quality of the texture coating is super thick and has a sheen shine to it, its like leather and i can see how last a long time on homes as opposed to latex paint. I needed my roof redone after years of being plagued with drips and leaks. The price was mid-range, but the customer service seemed to be, and resulted in being, top notch , which was a major factor in my decision, as a single woman household. The owner was also very flexible in allowing me to pay with a mix of loans and installments, as well as being more than gracious when a payment got all mixed up in the mail the first time, and with my bank, the second time around. Peter, the sales person, takes his job to heart and it almost feels like he's a family member when you need to deal with him, as he's very approachable. In times when everything is so stressful, being able to have the company bear that stress for you, is huge, when dealing with construction. At the end of my experience, there was a misunderstanding about my attic insulation which was erroneously taken out, so the company filled it back in with a newer type, free of charge. I came about using Carbon Remodeling via a cold call to my front door - mistake number one. I contracted the company to do a paint project in my back yard which was a complete failure. The job was done is a total rush and the paint was applied to damp surface even after I suggested that the surface wasn't dry enough. The entire project blistered and peeled within a week. After much effort on my part, I was finally able to get them to re-do the entire project. Additionally, it was determined by the Carbon construction foreman that the wrong paint had been applied in the first place - not the correct paint for a retaining wall. The project which began last November, 2025 finally wrapped up this week. If I had not stayed home from work to closely monitor the Job, the crew would have done a poor job all over again as the crew was not planning to properly remove the old paint and prep the walls correctly. Upon completion, if I had not asked them to put things back in place that they had moved away from the walls, they would have just left it scattered around in my yard. While the Carbon crew was polite and well mannered, they will really cut corners if you don't keep a very close eye on the project. I do not recommend Carbon Remodeling and would not use them again. 8/26/24 - I hired these guys after interviewing a long list of contractors for a big project I have going on in my house, and so far everything is going great. I'm redoing the hallways by lowering the ceilings, creating more windows for more sun to come in, building a new office and a new bedroom. Like I said, it's a big project. So far it's been A1 across the board with Carbon Remodeling which is rare for me in my dealings with numerous Los Angeles contractors. They got to work immediately and the prices have been very reasonable, things are moving along quite nicely. The communication has been constant and any question I have have been answered.
