We had a great experience working with Jacob and Joseph. They handled the mold remediation, interior alterations and and exterior painting. The entire process was smooth from start to finish. They were professional, punctual, and very thorough, taking the time to explain the work and make sure everything was done properly. The quality of their work exceeded our expectations, and the space looks clean, fresh, and restored. I highly recommend Jacob and Joseph to anyone needing mold remediation or painting services

    My old fence beyond repair.
    Diane S.

n November 2025, I decided that my 60 ft. redwood fence had to be replaced. Approximately 40 years old, it had been aging with grace until the last few years. The wood was severely damaged by wood beetles, storms, wind, rain and overall decaying wood. I spoke with a representative from Jacob Construction who confirmed that they do specialize in this type of project. I booked an appointment for a free assessment. I previously sought out other companies who gave me extremely high estimates of what a fence of this size would cost using redwood. One estimate as hight as 28k. Arriving on time was a professional gentleman, Leo, who understood my need for a new fence and the best way to begin this project. We spoke at length and I had some pleasant surprises. Leo was quick to assess the safety factors and the practicality of a certain type of fence. Above all, he had different resources for my situation, for keeping the fence at a reasonable price. This company really knows their business! THEY ARE WONDERFUL TO WORK WITH! I live in a house that was built in 1950 and was partially rebuilt after an electrical fire in 2017. After assessing the status of my home, they proceeded to ask me more about the foundation considering the year the home was built. The foundation, crawl space and sub-floor was in tact after the fire, but in all those years the original foundation had never been updated. I live on the coast, south of San Francisco, California and earthquake concerns are very real. Leo was able to offer me a free inspection, considering the possible hazard risks, I agreed and the inspection definitely was a blessing. After viewing photos of a crack and the lack of supports to the existing structure, a retrofitting was definitely needed as a preventative measure. Leo and Joseph met with me and explained all the details, answered all of my questions. We reached an agreement and the work was completed and passed a city inspection. They assessed my home with the goal of making it as safe as possible and preventing further very expensive mishaps. I appreciated their approach which undoubtedly would have cost me more than I can imagine. I have a policy with the California Earthquake Authority. I am now able to activate a reduced annual cost due to proactive repair against possible damage. I have rental properties and am quite aware of the need to hire construction people you can trust. I would not hesitate to hire Jacob Construction again. To be explicit, Leo, as Project Manager and Joseph as V.P. completed a superb project in every way. The crews were real pros. They were detail oriented and timely. They kept a clean, organized, professional work site. The overall workmanship was excellent. This includes the retrofitting project as well. Leo and Joseph were able to work with me on a price that I could handle! Who could ask for more than that?

I typically dont write reviews, but I feel my experience needs to be shared as it was one of the deciding factors in hiring this company. But what can I say...I am super excited and so happy with my new bathroom. At first, I was a little skeptical to proceed with the bathroom remodel project a few weeks before the holidays, but I'm glad I did. Jacob made sure my bathroom was ready in due time. The workers were respectful and demonstrated a great deal of workmanship. Jacob was also great and very knowledgeable. I am very excited about upcoming projects in the future. I highly recommend Jacob Contruction for decent pricing, extraordinary work, and a very trustworthy company. Thanks again, Jacob!!!

Jacob installed a Butler's pantry for me in my kitchen. I was blown away with how seamless the process was! The same day I signed the contract with Jacob, he sent his cabinet guy to come at this time my cabinets. Throughout each step of the process Jacob and his workers were timely, respectful, and efficient-- finishing the project to match my exact vision! Thank you Jacob for being so amazing to work with! I would recommend Jacob Construction to all my friends and family!

My experience with Bellows has been an interesting one. TLDR; highly recommended and check out the Quilt system! - - - I had originally scheduled an estimator to come out an give a price on replacing a whole house gas furnace with a heat pump system but was also considering a multi-head mini-split system. The technician who came out was knowledgable and introduced me to the Quilt system. He was not pushy at all, simply said that it was a new system that showed a lot of promise. After reading a bit more about it, I was sold! The promise of efficiency was intriguing and the usability and aesthetics sealed the deal. It took about a month to really get things going, but once they started, the installation team was great! Very professional, efficient and tidy. On the third day of installation, I had inquired about the condenser unit location. It was placed in a prominent and highly visible location at the front of the house and I thought there was a good alternate location - moving it back about 5' and rotating it 90 degrees. I definitely missed the window of time when this should have been asked, and to move it would require some additional work. The initial response was not empathetic or customer satisfaction- minded, the quote for the change order was prohibitively high and I ended the phone call feeling very frustrated. Within minutes, one of the owners, was on the phone. Chelsea put on a MASTERCLASS in conflict resolution. She made a personal connection, approached the situation with humility and grace, quickly establishing empathy in both directions. Chelsea found a delicate balance between defending her business and wanting to help find a solution by sharing more detailed information about the systems and installation process, and asking questions about why I wanted to change the location. Like most customer-service facing professionals, she articulated that she wanted me to be happy with the product and service and that the company would make it right. But unlike the majority of those people, it did not come across as condescending - she was genuine, willing to explore options, and ultimately took the time to gather more information and see what options were actually available. The installation manager, Del, came out the next morning, worked with the installers to find an efficient solution to move the unit, and the system was completed within the original schedule. The two-man installation team ended up working a little later, and even on a Friday afternoon before a long weekend, showed professionalism and patience in testing the system, cleaning up, and making sure all of my questions were answered before calling the job complete. Ultimately, I am very satisfied with my Bellow's experience and would recommend. I am very impressed with Chelsea and her handling of the situation. The company, her partners and anyone working for her should be grateful for the leadership she provides. Thank you Chelsea, Del, Joed and Julian!

The 1-Star Review reflects my assessment of an unbending schedule of fees charged by Bellows for its services. 1) The Fixed Schedule of Fees for Services is extremely expensive. How expensive?? Well, a few years ago, Bellows came out to our home to install a replacement part in the wall plate of a Toto wall-hung toilet. We provided the plumber with the correct replacement part. The actual repair required perhaps 10--15 minutes. The fee: $547 (including a service call fee of $149 plus $398 for the repair). In 2026, it surely costs more. The current service call fee is $189. At the time, Bellows HVAC was installing a ductless mini-split unit in our home, so I off-handedly requested this plumbing repair without determining the costs upfront. And indeed, I am responsible for my ignorance about plumbing charges; I should have known this minor toilet repair could cost as much as $547. That's on me. After much haggling, the fee was reduced to $400 - presumably because of the coexisting, and far more expensive HVAC installation. Still, wouldn't you have thought that a plumbing company might feel discomforted to ask for $547 for a trivial toilet repair? I learned a hard lesson about fees for plumbing services. 2) We once had an annual maintenance contract with Bellows for a reasonable fee of $300. Then Bellows informed us that only one of our three ductless A/C units was covered by the contract. Mind you, the units were actually installed by Bellows (cost: $15,500), with an average annual use of about 7 days. Did not matter. The new contract cost was $418. We should have read the small print on the contract. We paid the annual fee as there appeared to be no other option. However, I informed Bellows that I regarded the new fees as both excessive and unreasonable - and a genuine discourtesy to a long-time customer. Despite the complaint, Bellows somehow concluded that, given our previous use of their maintenance services, we had signed on for an annual subscription. And a few weeks ago, I discovered that Bellows had previously charged my credit card - unbeknownst to me - for a (now) more costly fee of $516 for a recurring maintenance contract. In effect, Bellows charged my credit card without any notification in advance or afterward. (This practice is expressly forbidden in California.) After two telephone calls to Bellows and a complaint to the BBB, (over a span of 14 days), the fee was finally removed. Bellows seemingly believes that with a refund of the unjustifiable fees, the company is absolved of any further accountability. In effect, 'We refunded the $516 charge, what more do you want?' Well, as always, Caveat Emptor! Get price quotes in advance, and be vigilant about recurring subscriptions. Do not expect a company like Bellows to accept responsibility for their contribution to any dispute, or to apologize for any inconvenience and distress experienced by the customer.

Outstanding Experience with Tech Air!…read more From start to finish, working with Tech Air was an absolute pleasure. Colin, the owner, was incredibly communicative and took the time to truly listen to all my requests. He designed an HVAC system to my exact specifications -- no shortcuts, no upselling, just thoughtful recommendations and expert execution. Their pricing was very competitive, especially given the level of detail and craftsmanship. The team removed my old gas furnace and installed a new 5-ton heat pump and air handler, even adding a new cold air return downstairs to improve overall performance. They also removed the old duct insulation, sealed, taped, and rewrapped the entire system with new insulation, ensuring everything was airtight and efficient. Colin and his crew are the definition of a small business that takes tremendous pride in their work. They showed up on time every day, worked efficiently, kept the workspace clean, and completed the job right on schedule. Their professionalism and attention to detail really stood out. A special shoutout to Claudia, who handled all the paperwork, scheduled the inspection, and made sure everything was squared away for warranty and compliance -- she made the entire process seamless. I couldn't be happier with the results. If you're looking for a trustworthy, high-quality HVAC company that genuinely cares about its customers, Tech Air is the one to call.
