In 2023 I contracted with Ecostar Remodeling & Construction(Sherman Oaks) to build a vinyl fence. The fence was built on schedule & was beautiful. However, the top caps kept coming off. This is a Great opportunity for me to restore my admiration in Quality Customer Service! Ashley, Ashley, Ashley!!! What a blessing she is to Ecostar Prodution Coordination Dept. She took it personally and cleared up the confusion. Ashley takes her compassion for helping people outside her 8-5 job walls. She was in touch with me after hours, on her time, reassuring me things were under control & that my repairs would be made! True to her due diligence, repairs have been made to my satisfation. I read the reviews and my experience was awful although the end product of my bathroom remodel was great the install was a joke. The account rep told us this remod would take 1 to 2 weeks and he would make sure it was done within that time frame. It was the holidays they came took samples and left giant holes knowing this was our only restroom. When we spoke I ask to delay the project since it was the holidays and I needed to find a alternative in the meantime. The account rep told us it wouldn't go pass two weeks, the material was in route and crew was ready to start on a Friday. We made arrangements for that Friday and weekend. Come Saturday we called the rep and no answer until Sunday that they would start Monday. I became concerned and ask to send me my current labor cost and material I just wasn't comfortable with the scheduling or lack to meet the commitment. He stated they would start Monday and Tuesday or Wednesday was a scheduled inspection. They demo the restroom on Monday on Tuesday the rep called and told us that inspection could not be scheduled since it was a holiday until the following week on Tuesday. I was upset he said they would only be a week longer after that and make up time. Inspection happened the following week on Tuesday and on Wednesday they started the 2nd phase of work. Material arrives the 2nd week and we realized items are missing notified the rep he said it was route. The 2nd inspection happened the following week on Tuesday since they could call for a better date and they needed one additional inspection which they claimed was a few more days out. We called the inspector and he granted to do both inspections on the same day. At this point this project is on week 3. They pass inspection and start installing tiles they realized the material was not all ordered. We call the rep and he said it was all there we need to verify. The all the tile was not there. The two vanity sinks where not here and the one delivered was broken. The facutes and medicine cabinet are incorrect. 3 weeks in and all this was not accounted for. They stop work order the material. Don't return for another week. Week 4 they install remaining material and come to ask if I would sign off on work complete before they are done. I was honest with them and said no I have no trust in them. They also proposed to change out some of the sewer lines and add a trap for about 10 to 15k. I talked with a family member who did plumbing and we got it done with 300 in material and one day of labor. They also noted mold under the house and where going to send me the report. Have yet to receive the report, but me and my brother-in-law work in asbestos and mold went under found the small area treated it encapsulated it for future growth prevention. That only took a few hours to prep and remove. They quoted 10 to 15k, I wasn't to thrilled with the way they tried to up sale this project. The account rep will say that a bathroom remodel average 4 to 6 weeks. Yes its true if they change out plumbing and relocate showers pipes or sewer lines but all those items remain in the same area. I also consulted with other vendors they range the work done within one to two weeks if planned properly.Week 5 all is done correct and they bill me, I review material cost they wanted to charge more to include rush delivery cost of 800 for the incorrect tile, the missing sinks the incorrect faucets. We finally agreed to just only bill the 5k allowance since they didn't get my consent on the rush material because it just sat outside for days before they returned. The bathroom if really gorgeous but the lies was the reason for the poor rating. They also proposed to change out some of the sewer lines and add a trap for about 10 to 15k. It is rare that we are happy with the construction work but we were very pleased with the repair performed by Luis, Jose and supervised by Roy. Roy was quick to respond to our request for a quote. We had a leak from a free standing tub from a second level to the first level. Roy assessed the root cause and gave us a reasonable and detailed quote. Roy and his team finished the work on schedule and did a fine job. We have tenant living in our town house so Roy and his team covered the work area well and cleaned up nicely. Our tenant was pleased with the work. Roy provided me with a reasonable payment plan and was really professional and easy to work with. Once again, I wish to leave zero stars!!! Today I am updating my previous review of Ecostar for anyone interested in learning about my experience with this company. First off, my review was fair and 100% accurate in documenting what transpired! Secondly, even after all of the unprofessional behavior I've previously documented, Ecostar representatives refuse to stop harassing me despite my numerous attempts requesting they leave me alone! I initially hired Ecostar to replace my roof back on February 12, 2024 and they worked on my roof from February 25-27, 2024. On March, 15, 2024, I learned that Ecostar failed to professionally replace my roof and covered up a large hole in my roof! I immediately texted the salesperson to report the problem, but I had to wait weeks for Ecostar to fix their mistake! On April 8, 2024, Ecostar finally fixed my roof almost a month later! On April 28, 2024, I texted the Ecostar salesperson inquiring about the $500 referral bonus after learning Ecostar was hired by my neighbor to replace his roof. On May 7, 2024, the Ecostar salesperson texted me back saying they would only pay me a $250 bonus for my referral, but they never did! On May 20, 2024, I text the Ecostar salesperson warning that I would leave negative feedback if Ecostar continued to ignore me and not act professionally, but I was still ignored by all Ecostar representatives! On August 27, 2024, I left my negative review of Ecostar on Yelp just as I warned! On August 28, 2024, I received four (4) telephone calls from Ecostar representatives, with some of them leaving me voicemails that I deleted. I also blocked their phone numbers! In early September, an Ecostar representative came to my home uninvited and trespassing, waiving a check in the air stating he wanted to discuss my review and pay me the bonus Ecostar had promised. I told the representative that I don't want Ecostar's money, nor do I want them to contact me any further! On September 19, 2024, I emailed Ecostar demanding they stop calling me, texting me, emailing me and more importantly, stop trying to communicate with me especially at my home! I warned Ecostar any future attempts to communicate with me will be deemed as harassment and I will seek legal assistance! On September 23, 2024, an Ecostar Production Team Member emailed me stating they "fully acknowledge their mistakes" and they "respect my decision regarding future communication" and yet asked me to reconsider their earlier offer for me to accept the $500 bonus payment and remove my Yelp review! I also received a message on Yelp from Bernice A., Ecostar Resolution Manager, apologizing for my experience with the company and how that doesn't align with their company goals... how Ecostar wants smooth processes that provide client satisfaction and then goes on to state how she would love to talk to me directly as my feedback is extremely important to Ecostar and she provided me with her direct cell phone number. So twice in one (1) day Ecostar representatives ignore my demands to stop harassing me and felt their company reputation is more important than my peace of mind! I then emailed the Ecostar Production Team Member and I very angrily demanded all Ecostar representatives stop harassing me and I again warned Ecostar that I would seek legal assistance for harassment! Despite all of my demands and warnings... On September 30, 2024, Daisy W., Ecostar Business Manager, replied to my Yelp review (shown below), stating how Ecostar is diligently working to address any concerns that I have... that Ecostar is committed to providing the best possible resolution for me... Ecostar understands I don't wish to schedule anything but my satisfaction is important to them and they appreciate my patience. The new information I've provided illustrates how Ecostar representatives refuse to learn from their mistakes and continue to harass me when I demand to be left alone! To ALL Ecostar representatives, I am formally issuing you a "Cease and Desist Order" demanding that you stop all forms of communication with me, including but not limited to phone calls, text messages, emails, letters, in person, subliminal, telepathically, singing telegrams, Morris Code, Homing Pigeons, rhythmic drumming, smoke signals, messages in bottles sent from deserted islands and so forth!!! You need to learn from your continued mistakes and take my review/s as "Life Lessons" so Ecostar won't repeat these mistakes with any future clients!!! You've tested and retested my patience!!! We had a shower bench added to our walk-in shower. We had a consultation with Eli Foster. Eli talked about the scope of the project, process and procedures, expectations, and cost. Eli put us at ease regarding our project. He was very patient, understanding, and professional. We talked with other companies but they felt the job was too small to be bothered with. When we spoke with Eli... he had no problem coming over to discuss what we hoped to accomplish. The work involved some demolition of the existing corner step (for shaving your legs) and building a shower bench, retiling walls and floor in the shower where the bench is. It does not look like an afterthought. The workmanship is top notch. I met Eran the day of construction. He introduced me to the two men that would be working in my home. They were very respectful of our property, keeping their area very clean. They were not chattering amongst themselves unless it had to do with the job at hand. The bench was supposed to take about 3 days. They completed the job in about 12 working hours from starting demo to the finishing of the grout. Then there were a couple of days of drying time. I was looking to do an addition to my house. Had spoken to multiple companies that quoted me absurd prices of $400/sqft and higher. Dvir came out, and after talking and measuring things, he basically gave me a quote of $400/sqft, which I quickly refused. He then gave me other options, too. Like turning my garage into an office space and basically an extra living area. After taking measurements and going over all the things that need to be done and calling his people, he gave me a quote of $26,600. They were able to give me a 12 month loan 0% interest rate. That included demolition, insulation, drywall, adding a door, permit, flooring, ceiling, lighting, and adding a window. After a couple of days, I called him back to delay the project. But after going over my concerns, he was able to extend the loan at 0% interest rate to 18 months, which I gladly accepted (since things only seem to get more expensive). He estimated the project to take 2 weeks from start to completion. They got started with demolition the next day. But we also got permits from the city which took over a month in itself. So the entire project from start to completion was a little over 2 months, which was way longer than the 2-week estimate. But Dvir gave me frequent updates. The workmanship is amazing. And when they were there to work, they got a lot done each day that they were there. Very easy company to deal with. Towards the end, I found out you can't park your car on tile or laminate because of the weight causing it to crack. I called up Dvir and told him I didn't want to do the flooring then. He was cool with it and cut me a $2500 check for it. That was super cool. Overall, I'm happy with how it turned out. Just a brief list of things I liked and didn't like: Pros 1. Easy to work with and communication was there 2. Needed to rent a dumpster to throw all my trash away, they rented one at no added charge to me 3. They do things the right/legit way with permits 4. Good workmanship 5. Professional Cons 1. Took longer than estimated 2. Sometimes, it took a while to get back to me But again, as I said, professional, transparent, and efficient. read more

EcoStar Remodeling Nick Liber and his team of workers are fantastic! We started with a small project finishing a bathroom. They completed the job in six days. From there we had them do our roof and insulation , then on to repair and repainting the exterior. Our next job was new windows and interior painting including removal of 'popcorn' ceiling and re-plastering our ceilings. The final job was our kitchen remodel. This included updating our electrical system, cabinets, lighting, floor tile and custom backsplash. It is so beautiful I have included pictures! We were so impressed with their work we sent Nick to our son and daughter in law's house for their remodeling needs.
