Oh my goodness, so good! My husband is in Israel, and taunting me with pictures of the amazing food, so I started craving a Middle Eastern meal. We've been here before, but I hadn't reviewed it, and they're definitely deserving. I had the chicken schawarma plate, which cane with rice, salad and hummus, and also ordered a small side of baba ganoush. Their chicken is very flavorful, and the rice was topped with spiced veggies - perfect! I put off my salad at first because I wasn't as excited about it, until I tried it. The dressing was amazing - I'm usually disappointed by commercial dressings, but it was super tart and zing-y - I poured the leftover on my rice, it was so good. The hummus was very good, although hummus never inspires sonnets for me. The baba ganoush, on the other hand, was beautiful. I ordered a small side because it looked plenty generous, only to slink back in after eating some and order a large to take home. My three year old loved the chicken and rice (and Mr. Veggies Are the Devil was cool with the hummus too, until he caught me sneaking it in), and my 9 month old was digging the hummus, baba ganoush and rice. I love good service, but I love eating even more, so I'll totally go somewhere with crummy service but amazing food. Fortunately, you don't have to choose here - both times we've been, they've been inordinately kind and gracious. We'll be back. read more

We went today for our first time. Got there at lunch time so it was packed. The food was fabulous and I am Lebanese. It was just like sito's. That means grandmother in Lebanese. We both had the gyro platter. The humus was smooth and spiced just perfect, the meat was delicious and the salad and dressing very fresh. I didn't eat the rice but my b.f. loved it. Delicious and very fast service!! We like the Chicken Shwarma and Gryo wraps (super meaty, fresh ingredients and a thin pita). The vegetable stew is also delicious and of course the hummus and baba ganoush. My husband and I are originally from Detroit and the middle eastern food there is top notch - caravan is definitely as good as some of our favorites from back home. Let me preface this review by saying that I adore Mediterranean + Middle Eastern cuisine. I have been eating at Zayna in Tucson for a long time and was excited to find a Med-inspired spot near my new home. I was incredibly underwhelmed. I went to dinner last week with my partner. I ordered the chicken shawarma plate and he ordered the beef shawarma wrap. I expected rich flavors on the chicken, but it was under-seasoned and arrived lukewarm at best. It was a huge portion, served atop a bed of rice (also lukewarm) with a side of veggie stew (big surprise, lukewarm) and a salad. The menu advertised that I would get hummus - one of the main reasons why I ordered what I did - instead of the stew, so I went up to the counter to ask if I would receive it. The man at the counter told me that they used to serve hummus with my entree, but changed it to the stew and never corrected the menu. He told me he would bring hummus and pita on the house. I was SO incredibly underwhelmed with the hummus. It tasted like bland pureed chickpeas - no lemon, no oil, no garlic, no tahini. It was probably the worst hummus I have tasted in Tucson. Oh man, I think I've found my go-to spot for chicken shawarma. I had the wrap, the pita was delicious (I believe they make it in house), the chicken was moist and flavorful, and it had this garlic paste that was absolutely delicious (for us vampire-fearing garlic lovers). I also had their stuffed grape leaves, so delicious. It's a fairly small place, and I think they have a market next door? Will definitely be back! read more

Ate here because Babylon's kitchen was under construction and they got my order wrong. Not only that but pretty much immediately after eating my meal I could feel something was off. Later that night I had to rush out of bed to destroy my bathroom. I'll be going to med cuisine until Babylon's kitchen opens back up I guess. read more

I was so excited to try the food and I was so disappointed. The rice was greasy and the dolmas were dry. I also asked to substitute a side dish so I could try the hummus but when I opened it at home I still got the veggie stew which was fine. Have always had good food from caravan last night was a disaster. I got the gyro that was burnt and the worst of it I had almost 20 minutes at the drive thru and wasn't even acknowledged being there if it hadn't been for the hummus I would have gone hungry. I can't believe that I am just now visiting this take out place. The hummus is excellent! The chicken shawarma is so tasty. Flavorful but not spicy. The side salad is is crisp and healthy and the stewed vegetables are a nice touch. Very good quality food. Can't wait to try more dishes. read more

Snap! I came here with some friends and was pleasantly surprised by the food. It had your staple courses such as gyros and shawarma but they were executed flawlessly. It reminds me of a New York Arab resturant that you grow up with. I had to special order something because I am doing keto and they didn't mind. My chicken shwarma was on point and the hummus tasted exactly how it should -not that store bought kind this had a garlicy olive oil flavor. I had a bite of the lamb kabob which was moist. read more

My sister and I dropped by for a late lunch with a huge appetite. There's nothing worse than having a huge appetite and then having a meal that's not satisfying. But this place definitely did not disappoint! The guy taking orders at the counter is super nice and friendly, good customer service! I ordered the chicken shawarma wrap and my sister ordered the falafel wrap. The bread to meat ratio was perfect. Both of ours were really flavorful and fresh tasting. It was good but not so good to plan on going back. I had the chicken shawarma platter. Salad, hummus and rice were good but not great. Chicken appeared to be boiled chicken and wasn't very flavorful and there was fat and bones in the shredded meat which didn't make it easy to eat. The veggies on the platter seemed over cooked and I rarely leave my veggies. Had baklava which was very good. read more

This place is awesome. I got the Lamb Kebab which was juicy and cooked as good as any place that I have been. The Plate comes with salad, saffron rice and Arab stewed vegetables. I especially liked vegetables which I have never had before. After my main course I had some kanafa and black tea which is how any meal should end. My friend gave me a bite of his chicken shawarma which was well seasoned and I might get next time I'm here. read more
