Based on the great Yelp reviews, I took my car here to get two minor car chips repaired. Pricing was also very good. One chip was about a month old and the other was two days old. After the work was done, the young man that did my chip repair apologized that one of the chips had spread (the injected resin) further than normally desired leaving a 1" in diameter magnifying glass like appearance. It bothered me a little as it was distorting things but he said that it would not crack further which was more important so I decided to live with it since it wasn't in my direct line of vision. The other repair looked decent but it too had a little excess spread in it. The very next morning, both repaired chips had cracked out about 1/2 inch on each side (it eventually cracked out about an 3/4-1 inch before finally stopping). I've had chips repaired two or three times in the past and though they never completely disappeared, they were relatively clean with little distortion and definitely never cracked the next day. So, I returned the next day and was given a full refund without question and they offered to replace the windshield. But I decided to do the replacement elsewhere. In the end, very friendly with good customer service but I definitely won't return to have a rock chip repair done here. So, I give them 5 stars for customer service but the rock chip repair work itself would be a 2 star. Perhaps their windshield replacement service is much better. In the end, it's clear that everybody else has had a good experience with them so it seems I was just unlucky. read more

The first time we needed the window replaced due to car theft, we went through the dealer. It was pricey and took about half a week for them to "order" the glass and replace it for me. The second time we needed the window replaced due to car theft, the dealer referred us to CarTech, which is where the dealer gets their glass from, because the dealer said they were extremely busy and said it would be a few days, at least. The end result was just an hour wait and a new window for half the price of the dealer. I could not have been more impressed with the quality of service and price. They give you the cost upfront when you make your appointment so you know exactly what to pay before you get there. I hope I never need another window replaced but if I do, this is where I'll be going. read more

Unfortunately, we have had to replace the window on our Subaru Legacy three times in just 40,000 miles!! Each time, Car Tech has been very professional and great to deal with. The last time, however, our windshield washer wasn't working and fluid was on the ground. We called Car Tech, and Kevin drove over to our house (about 12 miles) to take care of reconnecting a hose. Mistakes can happen, and Kevin's prompt attention to making it right was terrific. I hope not to be back there but, if we have another windshield problem, Car Tech would be my go to place. read more

Great folks to deal with! We're very particular about our vehicles and (luckily) haven't had a windshield in need of replacement for a long time. As such we didn't have a trusted source for this kind of work when the time finally came. Consequently, we asked around to get recommendations for a quality installer of new glass. A friend that has experience with auto body and detailing recommended Car Tech and relayed his positive experiences ranging over several years. Based on his recommendation and lots of positive feedback online, we tried them out and could not be more pleased. It was important for me to get OEM glass for this particular vehicle and Car Tech helped me do that at a reasonable cost. They also worked with us on scheduling - even allowing us to drop off the vehicle during the week, keep it inside overnight, and meet us for pickup on a Saturday morning. Installation is flawless, all of our questions were answered, and the vehicle was well cared for while at Car Tech. The store is small and parking kind of sucks, but it's well worth the effort. After two nightmare episodes with aftermarket windshields for my Lexus ES350 UL (Panoramic Roof), State Farm finally approved OEM glass. Unfortunately I had to travel to Lexus of Seattle (90 minutes south) to warranty the work since it is the closest dealership to Bellingham. Lexus of Seattle highly recommended Car Tech (they outsource this job to them) and after reading the reviews here on Yelp, I felt comfortable taking my car there. I was blown away with the professionalism and excellent customer service provided throughout the whole process from everyone involved; front desk, technicians, and owner. The continuous communication and feedback further enhanced this great experience. When I came to pick up the vehicle, they informed me that a windshield cowl had been misplaced and that the part (already ordered from Lexus) would be available in two days. They then took it to the next level and had one of their technicians drive up to Bellingham two days later after normal business hours (arrived at my place at 8pm) to install the cowl (15 second job) that had been misplaced. Now that's what I call customer service! They could have just sent the part but delivered it with a smile. Very Impressive! I HIGHLY recommend Car Tech for your windshield needs. I had a rock chip turn into a big crack. I had Car Tech take care of it. They handled the insurance company, argued with them to get OEM glass instead of aftermarket, and made arrangements with my dealership to have my camera system calibrated. I was hesitant to replace my windshield but due to a large crack, I needed to. It's been a few months now and I've had no leaks, no problems with the glass (and I have no garage). I picked these guys because they are licensed and insured but also because they are certified auto glass installers. If you live close, they even offer to drive you home while they do the repairs. These guys are great. I went to get a mirror cut, a pretty minor job. Unfortunately I had to really call around to find someone to do it. The front desk person was so nice. Hoffa, was so helpful. He made sure to repeatedly check in with me to make sure he got it right. He cut me more pieces than I originally asked for and said he'd hang on to the excess pieces a few days just in case I wanted any more pieces. They charged me a lot less than I was expecting. I was conflicted about whether to give two or three stars. I went there recently to have a window replaced. I do not have any complaints regarding the glass installation. But, when I got in my vehicle to leave, I noticed grease/dirt in multiple places on the door panel, floor mats and steering wheel. It was obvious that no one performed a final inspection. Got a used 2014 Infiniti which was in fantastic shape but had some kind of wax that was bonded to the glass and couldn't see out when it rained. Car Tech offers a combination of excellent customer service, experience and meticulous work which is refreshing to see. I needed a windshield for my 1994 Toyota Land Cruiser. I specifically wanted one without a darker sun glare band across the top. Two other shops told me the only glass available had this band. Car Tech took the time to search and obtain glass without the band, quickly, knowing I was leaving shortly on a trip. They found two. I couldn't decide on the type so they brought in both for me to inspect prior to installation. Installation was professional. We had two windshields replaced. One was a standard van but the other was a big diesel box van with a large flat windshield. Haffo came out and cut out a new windshield on site and fitted it perfectly. He also showed me how to clean out a hose under the wiper in another van so now the passenger floor doesn't flood when it rains. His bill came in at half of what I was expecting.
