Yesterday I had taken my car to Chicago Auto Glass to have my windshield done. I was recommended them by a friend. After going to pick up my car and getting in, I noticed all of the mud that had been tracked in from the workers as they worked in/moved my car to work on the wind shield. I had brushed most of it off before leaving and decided to let it go. After getting home, and getting out of my car, I realized there is now a dent in the trim. After calling them today to see what they could do to resolve the issue, they claimed they didn't know how mud could have gotten in my car, nor could they have dented the trim in any way. And that there was nothing they would be willing to do to resolve the issue. This is literally the only review I have written in my life and I'm not one to constantly write reviews for petty things. But to pay to have a windshield replaced and have your car returned like this, is unacceptable. read more

Comical. 1988 Ford 250. They replaced driver side window and 2 window regulators(they make window go up/down). In doing so broke trim piece off drivers side window casing and didn't secure door panels. A couple fasteners were broken. .25 cent part they did not have. Here's there comments: "Well, it's an old truck" it's actually in great shape with 89,000 miles. "Well call you when we get the part and replace it" It's been nearly 2 months! The irony. I took another vehicle in with a broken windshield. Why not give them another chance?? No deals. Same story, "will call you when we get that piece for the truck". That was a moth ago. If Rodolfo argues this story, he's lying. It's less than 5 dollars worth of parts. Really? Go to a fucking wrecking yard and get the parts!! They lost a good customer. I have 5 vehicles. The back window to our 1999 Subaru Legacy got shattered. I called a dozen places to look for the window and was told it was no longer produced. I finally called Rodolfo at Chicago Auto Glass. He was friendly, professional and courteous. He assured me he could find me the back glass I needed. He found it for me within a day and set up an appointment for me that Saturday. I've had windshields replaced on 4 different trucks and cars - no issues on any of them. They gave me a great price and then a better price for all 4 over a couple of days. No frills waiting area. I opted to drop them off and then leave. The parking is not great and highway 9 can be a (dangerous) challenge to get on and off. I'll be back. read more

Last March, I had an urgent situation where the rear hatch window on my older Subaru Forester was completely broken out and I needed to take a disabled friend to a medical appointment in 2 days. Chicago auto glass is awesome! My hood flew up and smashed my windshield while I was driving on a Friday evening. I called around and to my distress nobody was available Saturday or Sunday except Chicago auto glass. They were able to see me same day on a Saturday afternoon. I told them the wrong year of my car.. I thought it was a 99 but its a 98 (completely different body style) meaning when I arrived at my appointment they had to go pick up a different windshield for me, which meant a longer visit than expected for them and me. I had my five year old in tow (extra time with a five year old, parents I know you get me) . Clearview cafe is right by where they are located and they took my son and I there and picked me up. Price was awesome, people were genuine and super friendly, windshield looks great. They even gave my son a gatorade while I was paying (keep him occupied). The building is older and looks run down but don't let that deter you, there is rockstar service inside! Not happy with the quality of their work. I was referred by a window tinting company, which paid for the window replacement (for reasons of their own). Chicago auto glass left fragments of glass in my trunk and in the back seat. So many fragments, it was unbelievable. One of my seat belts stopped working because of all the glass in it. My two year old daughter stepped on a huge fragment of glass and cut her foot. I was upset because they did not tell me they broke my window in order to replace it, they did not clean up the glass and I had to be the one to find out all this information. I took my car back the next day. The owner was apologetic and vacuumed it all up. But it was extremely shady of them, and inconvenient for me. read more

Its a hole in the wall but I thought I'll give them a chance since I was referred to them by friend/ business owner. First windshield they said was damaged so they needed to order another one. 2nd time in during a work day for me I get my car home and start to clean all the black ribbons of rubber out of my car and off my dash only to realize it was slices in my dashboard. I had told another glass repair shop about it and he said "Oh yah thats the tool they use to remove the rubber, we wrap tape around our's so that doesn't happen". When I went back to show Chicago they denied they did it because "we don't even work from the inside of the car". Yet the passenger seat was laid all the way flat? And rubber ribbons on the inside of my car which I have never seen ever with any other glass replacement businesses. So he offered to google a repair and get back to me. He never got back to me. And I would never let him try to repair my dash himself. They just lost 2 business's with multiple vehicles in our fleet's. read more

Got my window replaced about mid December. towards the end of January i noticed that my drip molding was damaged and poorly repaired with some kind of black puddy. i emailed a few time with pictures. got one lame response with no attempt to fix this issue. you get what you pay for i guess. lowest price i could find, but cheap unreliable service. would not recommended. i will add a pic once i figure out how to do that. read more

I was referred to Chicago Auto Glass by my regular auto mechanic that I have trusted and relied on for several years, who performs services on all my vehicles. Chicago Auto Glass seemed friendly enough - at first. I needed a new passenger side glass and regulator installed. The regulator failed after a couple months, so I called them up again. They had to look for another regulator, and failed to call back - several times. Turns out they install used parts to undercut other auto glass companies. They want to charge me again to install another used part, at the same price. Total costs will exceed that of having a new part installed the first time around. BE FOREWARNED!!! YOU'RE TAKING A GREAT RISK for their services a few dollars less than a professional service company with new parts. read more
