So sad! I have fond memories of coming here as a little girl - clam chowder and a simple lunch. Yesterday we went back - chowder was great, service was friendly and efficient. The food however, ugh. My boyfriend's small green salad with chicken was 14 dollars, my chicken sandwich with canned cranberry sauce on the bun was 10. Total with tip was 42 dollars. I don't mind spending money on GOOD food but 42 dollars for a below average lunch was disappointing. read more

The place is clearly a tourist trap but once you get beyond that, they have a great outdoor patio but it's just so small and so busy. We sat at the bar to save time (which is a joke to call it a bar because it was really 3 bar stools in a corner next to a counter with a tap on it). I got the crab cakes and they were awful. They tasted like dry, pasty, no flavor cakes. I couldnt taste any crab whatsoever - surprising for New England. Would not go there ever again. read more

We sat out on the deck. The prices were reasonable. The food was ok. But the service was awful. She started out ok but once we got our food our waitress disappeared...lost a star for that. Can't give enough praise for restaurants that are happy and willing to work around food allergies with zero push back! Being Celiac makes going out a challenge if you're not familiar with what you can and cannot order and the last thing I want to do is be that annoying customer. Found this place on a best of list and it did not disappoint. The staff was friendly and the food was good. I had a simple deli sandwich due to fish allergies and it was perfection. Hubby had fish sandwich (COD) and really enjoyed it. My son had fried clams. He was a bit intimidated because the were whole clams rather than strips, but he enjoyed. Would come again. read more

We stopped in for a quick lunch 1:00pm on a Friday with 2 preteens. Plenty of seating. Had the lobster panini....I can recommend it. Kids split a fried shrimp platter....very fresh and plenty for two. Cari had the fried cod sandwich...served piping hot and crunchy. read more

Wonderful staff! Went there this morning with my infant, my two year old and our au pair. The baby was playing with her toy that made a buzzing sound which made the patron sitting next to us irate. He got up in a puff and complained to the waitresses, and anyone within ear shot, that he was moving because of "baby toys" and berating me for the "impropriety" of having baby toys make noises.The young ladies who were working today handled that behavior flawlessly. They were professional to the baby-toy averse customer and were kind and warm to my kids and I during the ordeal. We chose this restaurant this morning because in all the years we've been coming to Chatham since we had kids, the staff have always been gracious to us as a family with small children. In a great location, the patio was an awesome spot to take in the town of Chatham. The food was really good but did take a while considering we were the only ones in the restaurant. When it did arrive it was hot and fresh which was good. The chili shrimp tacos were delicious and my husband enjoyed his burger. Decently priced and would definitely recommend! I was hesitant to go in here because there was no wait and empty tables while every other place in town was 45min minimum. We were surprised by the quality of the food. Truth is, we were looking for fried clams and not something more gourmet. This place can hit that nail on the head. Simple fare, friendly people, fair prices. We weren't expecting much. There was a one hour wait at the Squire and we were hungry - they could fit us in so we went. We had four kids and four adults. Service was fine, nothing to rave about, but the food was fantastic! The scallops were cooked perfectly, an were the steaks and shrimp. Everyone was happy. Would def recommend for families. Sorry wanted to give a higher rating but... Arrived at 11:15 and was told breakfast was no longer being served and they were serving lunch now. Okay, no problem, after our drinks were served we were informed she couldn't put are lunch order in til 11:30. Okay, again no problem. The problem was the food! Let me start by saying we loved the food. I got a lobster omelette with Swiss and avocado (asked for no asparagus add side avocado). Delicious! Husband had pulled pork breakfast tacos. Really good. Service was terrible though. It took someone 15 minutes to get our drink order and we sat at the end of breakfast for around 15 minutes with dirty plates waiting for the bill. read more

Very disappointed by service. Rushed to get there for their lobster mac and walked in the door at 9:02 pm and they wouldn't serve us. Place had many tables of people and my son and I would have been in and out but they turned us away. Ate breakfast on a rainy day in downtown Chatham here. We had breakfast burritos. My husband asked for no Caramelized onions and it did not come made to order but he ate it anyway. Also tried the home fries they we good. They had a good Sunday brunch menu also. I would give that a whirl if we ever went back. read more

The good: outside dining in downtown Chatham. They also have a perfect batter on their fried food. My wife's fish sandwich was also very tasty. The bad: they don't know how to season scallops properly. Seriously, where is your salt and pepper shaker in the kitchen? A little overpriced for what they had (maybe I paid for location?) Food was pretty good as it was nice to go somewhere that didn't just have seafood. Drinks were good as well. The main complaint was the service. We sat outside and there were two waitresses however one was on top of her game and ours seemed to be also helping out inside or in the kitchen as well. Took incredibly long and had to get her attention just to order more drinks (don't you want me to spend more money?). Great Cajun shrimp tacos and our kids loved the grilled cheese. Fish sandwich and pulled pork wrap were just so so. Accommodating to kids and let us bring our stroller with an infant inside the restaurant. No AC so it was HOT. read more

This cute little restaurant offers the BEST pancakes I've ever had! I'm a pancake snob and these are, by far, the best. They're light, fluffy and so flavorful. The don't sit like led in your stomach. The owner confirmed that the batter is home made wtih buttermilk. My husband's corned beef was fantastic. It, too, was home made. Our waitress was great - smart, bubbly, efficient, a pleasure. Eating outside was very nice on such a beautiful day and the music was the BEST! Earth Wind and Fire, old school Michael, Lionel Richie. The owner told me it was Earth Wind and Fire channel on Pandora. We didn't want to leave! ha ha. I'll surely miss those pancakes. Next time for sure.... read more
