I'm really surprised more people didn't walk out when we did even our cocktails were grossly sour-- but not everyone speaks honest reviews especially Americans they will typically just not go back. The mahi mahi was so dry it was not edible same with the jerk pork, our rice had hard pieces as it was not fully cooked--the sauces on the plate were gross. We honestly had a fantastic dinner here. Surprising for a theme park restaurant. But everything we ordered was really good. My husband, who is not a Disney adult really loved this (especially after weeks of high end stuffy French and English restaurants) and even said he loved the vibe. If you have been the DL to Blue Bayou it's a similar concept. You are watching Pirates boats pass by. We were able to request at a table on the water by going in a few hours before to ask for it (and say we were on our honeymoon not I imagine it would still work u less you have a large party) Visited on the last night of our 3 week European honeymoon. Ended in Disney for the fun of it as a last min addition. We were hoping for ratatouille but it was too late so this was the next best option. We almost canceled because there wasn't a lot we were excited about but I'm so glad we didn't! It was a fun atmosphere. Thematically really immersive but not overly kitschy. We ordered two Piña colada's (because why not) and my husband ordered of the prefix menus while I did not (which was great that they didn't require that we both do so) he had the chicken app, and the prawn dish for dinner. I had the wahoo (my first time eating wahoo) and I always surprised how much I liked it. My husband had order envy for our meal lol. We the ordered two desserts. The mango rice pudding was very good. Super thick. The sweet potato cake was cold which was off putting. I would not order that again. Service was fast. We asked for a chick checkout so we could get a few rides in at close. Honestly, given the price and overall food quality, I wouldn't return to Captain Jack's. If you're expecting something like Disneyland California's Blue Bayou, don't get your hopes up. The only real similarity is the view - you can see Pirates of the Caribbean riders float by. The food, however, doesn't compare and the Blue Bayou is way better in my opinion. I ordered the Pirates' Treasure Menu, which was 55€ as of April 2025. I chose the Caribbean fish soup, baked mahi-mahi fillet, and Caribbean rice pudding. The soup was probably the best part - warm, tomatoey, and plenty of fish chunks and really flavorful. The mahi-mahi was just okay, and I didn't love the coconut rice bowl - partly because of the odd shape of the bowl. The rice itself was also okay. We also found a few tiny bones in the fish, but hey, that's how you know it's real! The rice pudding was also just okay. Nothing really stood out flavor-wise, and overall, it felt overpriced. I also got a virgin lada expecting something like a virgin piña colada, but it was basically pineapple juice over ice - definitely not the blended drink I'm used to in the States. On the bright side, lunch reservations were super easy to make on the Disney website, and we were seated right away. Service was fantastic - friendly staff and no issues with English at all. Bathrooms were also clean and they had the nicest toilets of the park with their fancy Toto toilets! read more

I used to love Pirates of the Caribbean movie and when my husband told me that this restaurant gives you a view of the ride, I really wanted to check it out. The only time slot for dinner that was available was 4:45 so we took it. It was better than not going at all. To drink, I had a virgin mojito, which was straight sugar and mostly ice, and hubby had a pina colada, which was also mostly ice and very little rum, if any. For our entrees, I had the Caribbean Chicken, Prawn with Captain's Rice, and he had the Grilled Jerk Pork. My dish was one prawn and a few pieces of chicken. The portion was pretty small, especially for the $36 we paid for it. The prawn had kind of a mushy texture to it. The jerk pork was very dry, which is what I was expecting. You are paying for the experience/atmosphere. They did seat us next to the ride, which was cool. But was it worth the price tag and the subpar food? I think not. read more

Not sold on this restaurant. We ate at 3 Disneyland Paris restaurants during our 2 park hop days and this was my least favorite. The dining area is along the side of Pirates of the Caribbean ride which we thought would be cool, but it dosent make it any more special. You would think the dim lighting would make it feel more intimate and possibly romantic and it just dosent. When we arrived for our reservation, we still had to wait to be seated. Upon being seated they were gonna sit us on an upper level against the wall, away from the water. We asked for a seat along the middle aisle away from the wall and from there service was just mediocre. Our waiter was slow and inattentive. The food is just o.k. Was kind of disappointed and wouldn't want to waste the money to go there again. Terrible food and service. The food somehow had sauce but no flavor and tasted like it was just reheated and served. For how much we're paying and how excited I was for this food I expected it to be good let alone amazing. The waiter took 30 minutes to come and take our order. I only ordered water while the other part of my party ordered a drink and and within about 10 minutes got my drink and didn't bring water the entire hour we were sitting there once the food got there and didn't even stop by. I had to catch him walking by and ask for water once we were basically done with the food. Only thing good was the alcohol so we could get drunk enough to even eat it. We were lucky and got a dinner reservation two days out. We visited the host table and she was able to fit us in for dinner one our last day. The staff was great and happy to offer recommendations on the menu. The food was good, some things were better than others. We ordered the Pirates Treasure Menu (a flat rate for 3 courses). Keep in mind, Caribbean food has very mild in flavor, so know to expect that. I've seen people say the food is bland, but Caribbean food is not over salted. It is more aromatic than anything. The dessert we got, the pineapple shortbread was amazing, I ate the whole thing even though I was full. I recommend the Piña Colada as well. The restaurant continues the theme of the Pirates of the Caribbean, and we could see the boats for the attraction cruise alongside the side of the restaurant. We had great seats that were on an upper level and allowed a view of the boats and water but were in a less busy area for dining. We had the half board which included a starter, main course, dessert and drink. I started with the smoked chicken chiquetaille with green papaya. The green papaya and other vegetables were refreshing, somewhat crispy and nicely chilled. The chicken was delicious and lightly seasoned. My main course was the grilled jerk pork with Caribbean citrus sauce. The pork was tender and the sauce added an acidic contrast. The island-style rice pudding with mango purée was also delicious. The rice was cooked well and the pudding was creamy. Our server was friendly, warm and welcoming. This was a solid restaurant and I would return to try more of there menu. read more

Having previously been to the Blue Bayou restaurant inside the Pirates of the Caribbean attraction at the California Disneyland, I was really looking forward to experiencing this newer Paris Disney take on a similar concept. However, I came out being pretty disappointed. Located in the the Disneyland Paris park, you will need park admission in order to dine at the restaurant. Just like Blue Bayou, it's located inside the Pirates of the Caribbean area, just along the water where the ride begins. Compared to Blue Bayou, the decor is much upgraded. It's fairly immersive with a beach like looking ground, palm trees and simulated night time lighting with lamps. However, I would say it's a little too dark for dining and it makes it difficult to actually see your food well. As for the food, I didn't hate it, but I didn't particularly enjoy any of it. The bread to start off the meal was cold and it took them 20 minutes to bring out butter. The appetizer salad came with a cold lump of mushed chicken and was bland and unappetizing. The Caribbean shrimp and chicken was almost like a curry. The portion size was small and it really didn't excite me. And the puff pastry with candied mango and cream really wasn't that tasty. For me, visiting it once to experience the ambiance was enough for me as the food was sub-par and not a reason to come back. If you do plan on checking out Captain Jack's, be sure to make a reservation beforehand. Despite it not being busy inside and having plenty of empty tables, they seemed to only be taking people with reservations and I saw lots of walk-in customers get turned away . read more

We sooo wanted to love this dining experience. You pay a lot of money to be able to dine here. The food and the service were subpar at best. We all ordered the three-course meal and tried different things. The quinoa salad was a bed of quinoa with cashews in it. The fish soup was more like a decent seafood broth, and my son ordered something else (I forgot the name), but it was a salad. The service took forever which is surprising since the food tasted like it was mass prepared for a cafeteria. I was utterly disappointed in the meal and only tried to keep a straight face because we were locked in to what we were spending and I didn't want my husband to give me a hard time for choosing this spot! You sit on the side of the Pirates of the Caribbean ride but honestly, you don't even notice. The staff doesn't provide the high level of service you're used to when dining at a Disney restaurant. Nice atmosphere, good service, decent food, difficult reservations, a bit pricey This is one of the Disney Park's in-house restaurants. Located adjacent to the Pirates of the Caribbean ride, most of the tables have a view of a porthe pirates's ride. The decor is early pirates wharf, of course. We had a large group (9) so I can only suspect getting a table would be easier for a pair of diners and not such a crowd. We reserved a table months early and even then only lunch spots were available. Our table was not ready at the appointment time as they seemed to have only a very few tables greater than seating for four. The wait staff was prompt and attentive, especially to the youngsters at the table. The menu was skewed towards the the 3-course prix selections and you save quite a bit if you are interested in 3 courses with good choices in each course including vegetarian versions. We had 1st courses that included smoked chicken salad (which had generous portions of chicken and overall size), and quinoa salad for the adults and Tuna Roulade (tuna wrap with a few halved cherry tomatoes) for the youngsters. All were flavorful and fresh. Entrees included mahi mahi and Caribbean chicken with prawns ( which were actually small shrimp) and pasta for the kids (which was penne and a tiny bit of basic tomato sauce). The adult entrees were, again, tasty and decent portions. Desserts were shortbread and rice pudding for the adults and mini Mickey cake for the kids. Nice presentation and flavors across the board. We never felt pressured to move through the meal or leave. The wait staff paid attention to the kids and interacted with them as "pirates" which the kids loved. Pricing was €42 for adults and €22 for kids. Kids meals include a drink, the adults do not. Not the cheapest meal in the park, but dark and cool inside, perfect for a respite from a tough day of ride lines. read more

To start we had the extravaganza appetizer plate which was far from extravagant... For the price of 16€ it was very lacking, skip it and try something else. I ordered the surf and turf.. Mediocre at best... The veal medallion was super over cooked and was dry and chewy... The lobster was also a tab bit over cooked.. Dunking it in the ginger butter sauce helped it. The rice was bleh... GF ordered the rack of lamb... It was cooked to medium well very nicely, the sauce paired with it perfectly. The sweet potato mash was Also very tasty. Was jealous of her meal. To end the meal we ordered the Creme brûlée flambé. The best part of this dish is that it was a cool fire show at the beginning.. After that the sugar crust on top was either too bitter or didn't hAve the right crunch. The custard itself was decent. My wife and I ordered the Fish soup that tasted like tomato Paste without any fish taste or fish inside. I also had the Rousted Pig that was so terrible it took 2 hours to get the the bad taste out of my mouth. The meal was over 110 euros for three person, that should hav been around 45 euros for the quality of the meal what we received. The atmosphere is the absolute best thing about this restaurant! There's nothing like doing the Pirates of the Caribbean ride and then having dinner at Captain Jack's restaurant (formerly Blue Lagoon). The whole mood of it all is just so piratey ans amazing. If it weren't Disneyland and this were a normal restaurant on the side of the street in Paris it wouldn't be the same and paying those high prices wouldn't feel warranted. The food is good even very depending on what you take but have to say that it's overpriced (as most Disneyland things are). I would also strongly recommend you to take a reservation in advance as there is always a queue even for people with reservations and you probably won't get a table if you don't make a reservation. If you're going with kids you might have a bit of a problem if they're picky eaters as they serve a lot of seafood. However there is a kids menu so that's always an option as well. The only reason why I took one star off is because of the prices and the fact that you sometimes have to wait for your table even if you have a reservation. All in all, the prices are a bit too high but it's still one of my favourite restaurants at Disneyland just because of its atmosphere. read more

The Blue Lagoon is located INSIDE the Pirates of the Caribbean ride in Disneyland Paris. It is one of the neatest places to eat in the park. You are seating among the docks as the boats from the ride lazily pass you buy. Although it is a little dark... The food was OK. A bit pricey like everything in Disney and Europe for that matter. The quality just wasn't there for my visit. I could see where the food had potential, but it seemed like the cooks just weren't trying too hard. We a got a spot this time and it was wonderful. The restaurant is located inside of the Pirates Of The Caribbean ride itself. We knew what we were getting, as we've dined in many other Disney restaurants, including multiple times at the Blue Bayou, the counterpart to this restaurant in the original Disneyland. Surprisingly, this restaurant bests the original. Although you mainly go here for the decor and location alongside the Pirates of the Caribbean ride, the food was surprisingly good. Although they offer an a la carte menu, the 4 different meal plans were a good value. The food was serviceable, and better than most other Disney restaurants. Most of all, the meal was not rushed. I take away one star for a mishap that is partly my own fault: my sunglasses were left at the table and disappeared before the next guests were seated. Our meal at the Blue Lagoon was SO BAD!!! We had a reservation at 5:45pm, got seated and it took over an hour to get our meals after our underwhelming appetizers. When the food did arrive had obviously been left under a heat lamp as the sauces had congealed and the rices had overcooked. Furthermore, my mom asked the waiter if there was anything not spicy on the menu and he said that the Shrimp item wasn't spicy. But it was. We took about two bites of our food to find out it was actually awful, and when we asked for a manager we were told "Oh, um, he's off today" When a supervisor (we assume?) finally arrived, she charged us for the eaten appetizers and sodas- which OK if you don't care about Guests returning, but as a gesture of kindness she could have comped those. The Resort as a whole obviously wasn't ready for the Half Marathon Weekend, but this restaurant was SO badly understaffed for a Saturday evening in general! We will avoid this restaurant at any cost on our next DL Paris vacation. read more
