I can't say whether it was worth the drive but they sure do make a mean cheesesteak! We came in on a Monday evening, and it wasn't busy. The space is small but there is a 2-3 person seating area by the window. We ordered the skipper (overstuffed) cheesesteak and a chicken cheesesteak. The skipper was really good and flavorful. The chicken on the other hand was mediocre. It wasn't bad but it wasn't very tasty either. I'd definitely come back if I was in the area.

I Don't know what "they" are talking about. One of these Cheese. Steak Subs I had just last week, and, each one I ate in one setting. EITHER ONE OF THOSE PUT THE WHOLE WEST BALTIMORE Spots TO SHAME. REAL TALK!! Even the Place on Washington Blvd Called "PHILLY HOAGIES" PLEASE!!! Just don't get the American cheese. It's crappy as hell, cheap tasting. You'll have to get the provolone cheese. The rolls don't hold up as well. Very nice people though! They are definitely not scared to give you the Steak packed in the sub, Pretty good tasting for an out of the way joint.

Tried a 6 inch steak and cheese sub. It was massive and overflowing with meat. Overall it was okay. The meat was seasoned but nothing to write home about.

I'm originally from Dundalk and live in Harford County for 38 years now and me and my husband got 2 cheesesteak there yesterday 2/12/22. We saw that they have new owners and honestly it was really good. The meat is not like the old Captain Harvey's of Dundalk but it's good. I would most definitely recommend this place.

I would put $100.00 up against the best Philly Cheesesteak Have vs. a Captain Harvey's Sub any day. Nothing comes close! The onions are sauteed to perfection. The rib-eye steak is tender and juicy. You need a fork to eat half the meat and onions before you can actually bite into it! If you have $100.00 to lose, please post your acceptance. LOL

My wife saw a post about the New Seasoned Mariner's all-you-can-eat crabs, and I had just suggested…read morecrabs earlier in the week. We decided to drive out that way and give it a try. When we arrived, we were given the choice of inside or outside seating. Since it was a nice day and they had a man-made beach on the water, we headed down to find a table. Sadly, there were no empty tables, other than one lone, tiny table in the corner without an umbrella. It was very sunny, so we decided to head in. When we asked for a table, my wife also mentioned that we didn't need menus, because we were going to have the crabs. The hostess told us that they were only serving crabs outside. We informed her about the lack of outside tables, she said "Oh, well", and let us pick our own table. We found a nice one in the corner, with a decent view of the water. Our waitress arrived, and informed us that she was also the bartender, because they were short-staffed. That did cause us some very long waits, due to her also getting some additional tables as more diners arrived. The kitchen was also incredibly slow at getting nearly everyone's food out. We waited nearly an hour for the crabs to arrive, so we made sure to request more not long afterward, so we'd have some ready before we ran out. Each tray held a dozen crabs, most of which were coated in the house seasoning. It definitely wasn't Old Bay or J.O. It wasn't bad, but we would've preferred something with a bit more flavor. Like Old Bay or J.O. The crabs themselves were pretty good though. Small/medium, full of mustard and fat, for those who like that. Not me; I gave my shells to my wife. We were both getting some fairly decent sized, sweet lumps out of them. The claws were all fairly scrawny though, and some were missing one, or both, claws. My wife had had a particularly rough week, so our waitress+bartender made my wife a special blue drink. The color almost perfectly matched her shirt, necklace, and eyes, which was also a nice touch. I had a sip or two, and it was a nice mix of sweet & tart. I started with a strawberry lemonade, which tasted just like one, but with alcohol . I was the designated driver though, so I switched to iced tea afterward. We split a flan, to help cut through some of the salt from the crabs. It was very dense; similar to a quiche, but still thicker. The flavors were all there though. A little bit eggy, with that caramel syrup, and some jellied strawberries on top. We were stuffed, so we ended up taking most of it home for later. All told, because of the very slow kitchen and our person being tied up all over the restaurant, we spent around 3 hours there. A nice, relaxing, overly-long meal. Hopefully, they can address the staffing issue for future visits.

I hope the new chef elevates their menu. Staff are pleasant and diligent, as always. And the view…read moreof the water is great, as always.

I was in the Dundalk area by chance and decided to give Smokin' Joes Grill a shot after seeing…read moreothers' reviews. I think it's worth mentioning that I've never had pit beef before so I am by no means an expert as to what's good or not. I will also say however, that what I ordered, the open face pit beef sandwich with mashed potatoes and gravy was ok. The entire plate was swimming in gravy so that took away from what could've been a better meal. I did ask for gravy on the whole sandwich and the mashed potatoes (because the picture on their website looked like gravy only came on the mashed potatoes and I do like a little extra) but I wasn't expecting a to-go box literally full of gravy, so that's probably my fault. The texture of the beef mixed with all the gravy and mashed potatoes was a bit unpleasant and soupy and I periodically had to pick burnt bits and foil out my mouth so that also took away from the experience. They seem to have a pretty vast menu and I had no idea what I was going to get when I walked in. The young lady that took my order was very friendly and helped me come to my decision so the customer service was good and I appreciated her patience with me. As far as ambiance goes, while I was waiting for my order, there was an older man waiting for his order that was yelling at the tv about how Joe Biden hasn't done anything for this country and that Trump only told the truth. I try not to get caught up in politics with strangers because it really can be off putting but what can you do. I wouldn't do the gravy with a side of open face pit beef sandwich again but there's so many other options I'd like to try in the future should I find myself in the area again. A man that was also waiting for his order said he really like the ribs.
