We had a reservation, were given a choice to sit inside or outside and were seated inside immediately. The interior is both rustic and elegant at the same time with bold wood and brick accents. It's a really nice environment. Our waitress was friendly, attentive and informative. I ordered the chicken and waffles. It was good but maybe not the best brunch choice. It just wasn't executed as well as I've had in some other places. It's designed to come with fried eggs right on top of the waffles. It also comes with gravy. The waffle and the gravy...impeccable. Fantastic gravy. The eggs were cooked very well. The chicken tenders were a bit bland and dry, the syrup almost a bit bitter. There are some home runs at Whiskey Cake, there are some items that are just OK. I'll be back, I just don't think I'll order the chicken and waffles again. I do recommend you try this place if you're in the town center though.

I also wasn't given a pasta spoon- so had slight difficulty eating it. It took quite a while for us to get our food, approx 45 minutes? Our waitress was very kind and checked in- but forgot the lemons I had asked for- for the waters. We had inputted in our reservation request to not be in the center- and we were sat in the middle; though, 80% of the tables were empty. So, all in all, it was good but for the price point, I had higher expectations.

I loved the murals all around the building on Roosevelt Blvd(near Edgewood exit). Parking was fine. I went in and told the Waitress I was there a little early. When everyone was there, I went up and ordered. Everyone employee was so nice. The BBQ & sides were delicious. The sweet tea was very good.
