Service is good, clam chowder is a 8/10, vibes are cool, all in all good restaurant to take the homies

First time dining at this restaurant, service was great food was even better, highly recommended. Ordered fried shrimp and boiled shrimp, raw oysters and craw shrimp read more

It's our first time here. Food is superb/delicious. Very clean place. I've been to a lot of seafood/cajun places but this is one of my best so far. Our server, Angel, is excellent, courteous, and very helpful especially if it's your first time eating on a new place. Prices are reasonable. Serving is perfect for what you pay. I would come back here and it's worth it. read more

Everything was ok until I got my credit card bill and saw that I had been charged a double tip. The box for "add tips" should have read "additional tips "! When I checked the custom tips box and entered the total that is the amount I was expecting to be charged. Regardless, I ended up paying a tip of over 30%! I've never paid that much before in my life! Repeat customers beware! read more

I've been waiting to try the bag food deal . After my first time trying I went back the next day. I prefer this place over red lobster any day. Very reasonably priced. Half lb snow crab a potato and a corn 20$ can't go wrong. They offer gloves for the mcglovin type also. read more

Amazing service amazing food! Very clean when we went and I would definitely visit Again and again

I ordered cat fish and I'm pretty sure I got anything but catfish. The fish was soggy and lacked flavor. My kids chicken tenders were the worst they've had anywhere. Furthermore, the onion rings are a sad excuse for onion rings. The batter doesn't stick to the onion at all. $60 dollars down the drain as we could only eat about a quarter of that slop. read more

Very good food, and the service was great, lovely servers! And the atmosphere was fun and fits the name well.

Very delicious, service was great even though it was busy. Flavor is immaculate. 10/10 recommend for a seafood boil!

I'm reply to how it was . Hard to comment it's really made for groups. But that being said, no wine list I ordered rose and I received a decent one. House salad was good raw oysters were delicious. Everything is served on silver chargers covered with paper. I had a 7oz. Lobster tail on the menu as 1lb. the tail was split but the meat was not unhinged from the shell so a mess was created digging it out of the shell and it was presented in a plastic bag with melted garlic butter a piece of corn and a red potato. No salt & pepper on the table and possibly the cheapest and thinnest silverware ever that hurt your hands to use. The place is new I will try it again in a couple of months. Maybe they will learn a few things and improve. My total was $55 mostly because of the 1/2dz oysters $14 and lobster was $23.Service was average. read more

Captain Crab - Cajun/Creole Near Me - Clovis, California

Just terrible service. I walked in and asked if there was a wait they said no and sat us down right away. We sat at the table for 25 minutes before getting up to leave then we got asked if we had ordered or if we want to order our drinks. Mind you two other tables walked in after us and got served their drinks before anybody even said anything to us. Very sad very unprofessional I genuinely hope it wasn't because I'm black but the other two tables that got helped first were Caucasian people. Was so looking forward to trying the food read more

loveeeeeee the service and the food was so delicious and perfect customer service highly recommend for a date night or just a family thing will return again soon ! read more

The service was good. The place was open and relatively clean. But it was bad. Really terrible po boy sandwich. God awful. Crawfish. Shrimp. Didn't matter. Just terrible read more

Great food but messy. Service is good as well. The restaurant has great ambiance, kind of feel like Joe's Crab Shack.

Best sea food boil ever must try it us so good there is so much flavor in sea food boil

Foods are good and servings are enough for their prices (had a take out of leftover) place is ok

The servers were professional and attentive. The qualify of the food was wonderful and delicious. I would definitely come back with my friends. read more

Great food and service! Nice ambiance, loved the decor and set up. Didn't feel like we were even in Clovis!

We love the seafood here. We have the Shrimp head off and green mussels in Captain Mix and spicy. We also have the calamari. The seafood is fresh and good. Give this place a try and you will come back for more. read more

Everything was delicious and fresh! The choice of seasoning is abundant. I mixed Garlic & Cajun seasoning it was a great pairing. They have two kinds of mussels, very fresh and not over cooked. The dungeons crab was fresh, moist and full of flavor. The cost is great, especially in post COVID pricing. Will go there the next time I'm in town. read more

It's finger licking good. BUSSINN!! Service was fast and good. Sauce is really good and they have good prices. Took my mom and now she's asking to go back again. read more

Sorry service here was good and place was clean and spacious although no ac was on when we were there; just fans, still pretty warm inside during Fresno summer heat. Prices may be cheaper here but you get what you pay for. Shrimp and crab were ok but mussels were very small in meat size. Sauce and flavor is where it really seems to be lacking compared to other local seafood boil. I'd suggest elsewhere for more money but better flavor and quality read more

Awesome food! Good Service! Food taste spot on. Get the Captain special. Birthday Cakes was awesome too!

Mad the mistake for trying them after I didn't like their Stockton location(NO FLAVOR). The Fresno location OVERCOOKED the shrimp it was mushy. I paid the extra $4 per pound for headless and the same shrimp wasn't even clean. NEVER again. Better off trying any of the other boil locations read more

My 3 family members and I stopped by around 5:15pm on a Saturday and were seated immediately! We made it right before the rush. The hostess was very sweet and our server quickly came to get drinks. I ordered calamari to start with, and then I also ordered a 1/2lb of headless shrimp, 1/2lb of sausage. The bag came with potato and corn as well which was nice because other place it's usually an add on per item. I also ordered a side of Cajun fries. All of my food came out to $37 which seems about average price. First, I would like to say that the staff was all very nice and welcoming but our server was not attentive to our table. We didn't receive any lemon or salt and pepper and it took about 15 minutes to get his attention by waving him over. The whole time we were there that was the only time we were "checked on," until we were ready to cash out. The staff was friendly but hopefully as the time goes by they are able to be more attentive. Now for the food, I wish I could say all great things but my bag just tasted like oil and salt. I got the captains special mild spicy which is a mix of all of the sauces, but it has no flavor other than salt. I was highly disappointed and didn't finish it like I normally would solely for that fact. The calamari was So good though! The cocktail sauce it came with had a nice kick and the pieces were big. The Cajun fries also had great flavor and tasted fresh. I am willing to give other menu items a chance, but honestly I don't think I will come back for the boil :( read more

Everything was very good, we got catfish, tilapia and calamari with Cajun fries. My son liked the tartar sauce. I thought the catfish was very good. The tilapia was a bit overcooked. The calamari was good. The fries were too greasy. I love fries but couldn't handle the amount of grease. The service was okay, wish the waitress would check back more often. Reasonable prices. The restaurant was clean and open, with bright colors and music. I would come back again to try the broiled food. One last thing, we got clam chowder, my son loved it, I thought it was okay. read more

Pleasantly surprised! The food was really good and the prices are amazing! I had the shrimp basket $8.99 you can't get fast food for that! Highly recommend. read more

We were seated right away and the customer service was great. The food came out fast and fresh and the seasoning was on point. Definitely coming back again! read more

Music, Music, Music... the music is ruining the ambiance, it is not conducive to eating seafood... needs to be toned down to something more calm, like smooth... Could that be one of the reasons the restaurant is not full? No doubt changing the music will create better ambiance. Hip-hop is just not working unless, of course, you want to attract the 18 to 30 year old crowd to the exclusion of everyone else... Now for the food! We've gone to this restaurant on numerous occasions and experienced no problems with the food. Today that changed... my wife ordered Dungeness crab with a mild Cajun flavoring. She's ordered the same thing on several different occasions and it's always been delicious. That was our expectation today, however, about an hour after eating the crab she got sick, apparent they now use butter in preparing their crab? My wife is highly allergic to dairy, especially butter... As she started to eat the crab she tasted what she thought was butter, so we called the manager over and asked him if the crab was prepared with butter. He said he checked with the cook and that the crab wasn't prepared with butter! But it was, that's why she got sick, the same way she has gotten sick each time she's accidentally consumed butter. Was it really worth it for the manger not to be truthful... why not take the hit, be concerned for your consumers health and well being! read more

Love this place. Food was delicious and well price. Flavor was on point! Ordered the captain special. We'll be back soon.

First of all, as you walk in you can notice the decoration on the walls. It gives beach vibes. I loved it! Also the waitress was super nice. We ordered the $60 meal which you can choose from 3lbs of what they have. We chose 1 LB of snow crab legs, 1 LB of shrimp with head on & last pound of Crawfish. With the captain specialty sauce which came with 3 corns and 3 potatoes. It's a must try for sure! read more

Came here with my family and it was so nice inside seated immediately and we were a large party also good was so good and they give you really big portions very very affordable would definitely recommend to anyone! read more

Went there recently. Had a great experience. The waiter was excellent and answered any questions precisely, which helped a lot. The food came out quickly and was delicious. We had some shrimp (head off), crawfish, and snow crab, along with corn on cob and potatoes. They allow you to choose spicy level and flavor. We chose garlic butter with spicy level as mild. With those choices, we discovered flavors throughout the meal, including while biting into the corn on cob and dipping potatoes into the sauce. Captain Crab won't disappoint, with a fresh atmosphere, this place is authentic through and through; with tastes of the Atlantic. read more

Had lunch the other day. They just recently opened but had their act together. Our server was friendly and on top of things in a nice way. We shared the shrimp boil and the Fried calamari. The food was tasty but I must warn you be prepared to get really messy with the Shrimp. The Beer was cold and very fairly priced. The facility was very clean, but a little spartan for my taste. I will return the next time I am in that area of town. read more

Great service and the food was delicious!!! The lunch special was a great deal! I went there 3 times already and I had great experiences.

Great place, Finn was an amazing server and helped us make a great decision on our meal. Would recommend to anyone who likes sea food.

Waiter tipped himself an extra 5 dollars, had to get my own beer, and was sat down after 2-3 people who came in after my lady and I

Super friendly employees. Our waiter was super thorough in explaining all our questions with full answers and even helped to recommend what's the most sought after. The food was fabulous and taste amazing. Worth every $$ spent! Highly recommend coming here, bring your appetite! read more
