Funny name...SERIOUSLY good food! We were greeted kindly, didn't have to wait long at all to order in line or on the food itself. We ordered jr burger with cheddar all the way, fries whizzbang style (melted cheddar, ground bacon, diced red onion, and whizzbang sauce; a double whizpig (1/2 beef, 1/2 ground bacon) and onion rings. My jr burger was perfectly cooked, seasoned and had the freshest veggies including sliced red onion (im picky about onion on a burger). The whizzbang fries were incredibly delicious very well done, super crispy fries so as not to get soggy at all, perfectly melted cheese...SO good. I've gotta dedicate a sentence or two or three to these onion rings. You know when onion rings are done right when you can bite through them and it's a clean bite, the batter sticks to the onion, the onion doesn't pull out or away. The batter is very well seasoned, crispy and not greasy at all. These were pretty awesome onion rings! Hubby had the whizpig and said it was good, I tried a bite not knowing what to expect and it was good, just very smoky due to the bacon and we weren't quite expecting it to be so smoky, think backyard bbq burger kind of smoky flavor. Overall, we loved the place and would definitely go back when in the area.

Fire spot. If you are looking for a solid, chard burger be sure to come over here. You know it's going to be good when there's cheese oozing out of the wrapper. The right amount of grease and spread to make a nice blanket for the burger to sit on the bun. Friendly and helpful staff that did not have any problem going the extra mile to make sure our burgers could safely make it back home without the blanket of grease ruining the bun. Mother had the Whizz-Pig which DOES SOUND TEMPTING but upon trying it. Eh. Not so much. To bacon forward for my personal preference. If this is your first rodeo, get the classic hamburger and get your friend to get the bacon burger. Could Waco be the best underground burger capital or Texas. Maybe. Just maybe. Would come back

I was driving down the road and passed a sign for hamburgers, but drove around the block and thought "what the heck, let's try it out." Burger places typically underwhelm me and aren't my first choice, but I was hungry and this place was close. Even though I eat meat, I absolutely love the Beyond Meat burgers, and was pleasantly surprised to see they had this on their menu. I enjoyed this vegan burger with all of the veggies and mustard. The gluten-free bun that accompanies this patty was lightly toasted and buttered (so, not entirely vegan). I give two thumbs up!

Just got order to go . Never have gotten bad food from here but tonight guess the workers just dont care . Cheeseburgers smashed flat as hell wrapped so tight in paper then looked like someone stood on them. Greasy fries and chocolate milk shakes that were just milk in a cup. Threw it all in the trash. I have never done a review but this was so bad I had to say something. read more

Hmmmmm, Being new to Waco, I visited the landmark Silos. Have no clue what the fuss is about. The only sound I heard was the cash registers. Chuchung. I was hungry so I walked the food trucks. Chuchung. I decided on a burger from Whizzbangs. Can't remember paying $9 for a single patty burger. Fries were hot but not worth $13. Drank water. My hat is off to great branding. Pretty decent burgers. I wouldn't call it a 4 star Yelp restaurant as posted currently, more like 2-3 stars. I had a whizzpig and fries. The burger's flavor wasn't anything to write home about. Opt for Tom's Burgers instead; it's right down the street. read more

This tastes just like a home cooked meal. The flavors are not too strong but not too subtle either. Patties are thick and juicy. Bread isn't flakey or dry, it's very moist and buttery. Fries are too thick of a cut in my opinion, but the crunchiness sort of makes up for it. Texas Toppers are delicious! I didn't think they would be that great but they were honestly my favorite thing. If you're looking for a burger that will fill you up for a good price, this is the way to go! read more

I drove my wife and her friends to Waco for Magnolia, ugh! I was able to sneak off to the Texas Ranger Museum. Our friends had been here a few months ago and suggested CBW. There were six of us and we all had a variety of the menu items. My friend told me to make sure to get the Whizzbang fries, good call they are great. We split an order for the table. This place is not on the Weight Watcher approved list but you will leave with a guilty smile on your face. Give it a try if you are visiting Waco and don't know where to go. read more

I saw this place on The Texas Bucket List, they won burger of the season, and IMO that did not give them enough credit. This was a great burger. I went for the 4x4 burger. The order taker saying you want a 4x4. Guys from kitchen came out and confirmed the order. That made me think. But I don't think very much and ignored the red flags that were being waved. Now this is not a White Castle type slider burger. This is a grown ups burger. The single will be enough for most people. By the way I finished the 4x4( that's four patties and four slices of cheese). Not for sane people, but I'm not always sane when I eat. I'm not from Waco, and I don't live nearby, I will be making more trips that way and I am looking forward to trying the More of the burgers and fries combos. read more

Nothing to look at but the food is A+. The burgers with bacon mixed in is incredible. Why doesn't everyone do this. The onion rings were sweet. The staff was friendly. Check in and get a discount. Post a picture on Facebook and get a free scoop of ice cream. read more

Wowww this place gives In-N-Out a run for its money, and that's saying a lot coming from me. They're both very simplistic burgers - patty, cheese, lettuce, tomato, but this place puts butter or something on the buns and grills them, which makes all the difference in making it a spectacular burger. I was only able to try the regular cheeseburger since Billy Whizzbang's food truck made a stop on Baylor campus for an event. I definitely need to go to the physical restaurant to try the Whizz-Pigg! read more

We tried the burger stand at Union Hall, I wish we would have made it to the restaurant to try the full menu as I had seen some wonderful looking Instagram posts of menu items, I was disappointed to find the limited menu at Union Hall. Love this place! It's a bit of a dive. But the food is YUMMM. My favorite is the whizzpig jr and tots. Chose this for my bday lunch and as usual it did not disappoint. Can't recommend it enough!! The shakes are good too. If you try the one at union hall, it may be a smaller menu but they've managed to keep it consistent quality & flavor! I applaud that. read more

Only been by once & it was at the drive-thru. I got the Western Billy, which i thought was good. My husband got the Whizzbang. He really enjoyed it. I think we experienced what others posted about - the burgers get smushed when being put in the to go bags. It doesn't affect taste at all, though. A good yummy burger. read more

The place certainly has the small town feel. I could only imagine the excitement in the air on game day. Great check in deal for $2 off the meal. I substituted the regular patty in my burger for the whizzpig, bacon mixed with beef. Patty came out pink but fear not it was cooked right and highly recommended. I also got my tots with extra topping that I can't remember the name of but similar to animal style at in n out. Recommended if you are looking for a small home town feel. read more

When you are searching for an old-fashioned hamburger...you will find it here! I love that they have several options for cheese and I'm absolutely in LOVE with the jalapeño cheddar bun!!! The fries are probably the best I've ever had...medium thickness and perfect crisp outside/fluffy middle! This is a Waco hidden gem! The only reason for deducting one star is the place could use a new coat of paint and a few upgrades. It appeared clean and I love they have a mirror allowing the customers to see into the kitchen area. But it is an older building and may need a little more maintenance. However, the staff was great and were very friendly when answering all our questions to make sure we had everything we wanted. Recommend to all!! read more

Dropping our daughter off for the start of her junior year at Baylor University we were in the mood for a burger so I quickly yelped for burgers in the Waco area and this place popped up! Intrigued by the reviews I read we decided to try it out! Only a few miles from where we were staying I punched the address in my GPS and we were quickly there! The decor reminded me of a diner in the fifties and the friendly smiles that greeted us made the experience much nicer! Touted as the best burger in Waco I would have to agree although I haven't tried the competition! The burgers were rather generous in size and the combos are served with either tater tots or fries and a drink. After ordering we didn't have to wait long for our order and they were really good I must say! I was so immersed in the experience of eating and talking with our good friends who were also dropping their son off I didn't get a chance to snap any photos but the current photos tell the story pretty well! If you're in Waco and looking for a killer burger look no further. This is the place! read more

All in all we enjoyed ourselves, the crowd was lively and the kids said this is their new favorite burger place so we will be back again!

Yum Yum Yum! This burger joint is slamming good. We didn't care for the half bacon meat patty thing. But the regular bacon cheeseburger is amazing. Definitely recommend giving this place a try! Can't wait to go back! If I had to come up with negatives I'd say it's a tiny bit over what I'd price it at, fries portions could be larger and the place could use some updating. But that's really trying to come up with downsides. Once you bite in that burger it's over - you're a fan! Service was good and place was clean. read more

One of our favorite places to eat when we go to Waco! You can NOT go wrong with anything on the menu. My favorite is the jalapeño cheeseburger with ranch dressing on the jalapeño bun. My husband's is the Whizzpig all the way. And please don't forget the tater tots :) We live north of Denton and have made trips to Waco JUST to eat here! In fact, I think we are overdue! It's always clean and the staff actually seem to enjoy working. Great customer service and tasty food. You won't be disappointed! read more

So many places in Waco claim to have the best burgers but those of us who know the truth know that when hunger strikes, no matter where you are in town, simply look to the sky and follow the hot air balloon to the best food in town!! The best burgers in Waco, they use only quality ingredients that really make them way better then any burger from a national chain. The signature Whizz-Pigg is a must, 1/2 bacon and 1/2 ground beef burger with cheese is the way to go with fried pickles and ranch! read more
