Got take out here a couple weeks ago. the food was tasty. I like the garlic sauce more from here that other Cajun crab places I've had. parking is plentiful at the strip mall.

The "table cloth" - The image shows a paper table cover decorated with red line art illustrations of seafood such as crabs, lobsters, shrimp, oysters, and other shellfish. The 'Cap't Loui Seafood Boil' logo appears multiple times in black and red, featuring a stylized crab and the business name. The design is intended for a seafood boil restaurant setting, emphasizing the seafood theme with simple, outlined drawings.

Quick bite to eat... I know, I know, but I played it safe for the first visit. Chicken Tenders & Lemon Pepper Fries w/Coleslaw w/Berry Juice Felt like a big kid w/the adult capri-sun. Didn't miss the liquor, BUT it would've added a lil umph Took the food To-Go. But the staff was pretty chill and nice. Can't wait to go back and get the seafood. Might try the Qns location since it's a lot closer to me.

Pick 3 Seafood Boiler - Crab legs and pieces of corn on the cob are inside a clear plastic bag, which is placed in a takeout container. The seafood appears seasoned with spices and garlic. The background shows a paper tray and utensils, indicating a takeout or casual dining setting.

I'm not much for a boil, but let me tell you this place made me a believer! From the amazing garlic noodles to the homemade lemonade, this place has it all! It is BYOB, but the food totally makes up for it! Funnel cake fries were too good & the boil was perfection we picked the lemon pepper sauce so addictive !

This place is great!! The restaurant is a nice small addition to the ton of spots on 22. We were seated immediately on a Saturday night and it wasn't packed but a nice amount of tables were taken. The seafood came out quick, fresh and hot. Very very flavorful. Definitely at the top of my list for seafood boils. Nothing in Union/Springfield compares. My only issue was that the lobster tail isn't cut prior to it cooking. So when it comes cooked the green stuff is still there but cooked so it's like a big green vein. I adding a pic of my leftovers. I took the lobster home to clean it prior to eating.

Came here to get a seafood boil bag to go, I got a pound of crab legs and a 1/2 of shrimp. I gave it three stars due to not having many options for the sauce. However the seafood it self was very fresh, if you choose to dine in you can BYOD which is a plus. I recommend giving this place a try.

The image shows cooked seafood items such as shrimp, mussels, and a piece of corn on the cob inside a container lined with plastic. The seafood appears to be seasoned or marinated, and the plastic lining suggests it may be prepared for cooking or storage. The container is filled with liquid or marinade, and the seafood is arranged closely together.

the good, service were amazing. I ordered the seafood boil with crawfish and mussels and it was great! Most importantly, the music was FIRE! Great experience.

Strawberry lemonade - A transparent plastic pouch filled with strawberry lemonade, featuring lemon slices inside, is placed on a restaurant table. The pouch has a straw inserted for drinking and is branded with 'CAP'T LOUIS SEAFOOD BOIL.' The table surface has printed lobster and seafood graphics, and a glass of water with lemon is partially visible nearby. A person in the background is using a smartphone.

Okay, so I was super excited to come here because their IG promotions have been on point. The social media team has definitely done a great job and building excitement around the business. My friend and I both won a seafood boil and lobster tail dinner so we went in last night to try it out. As far as service goes, the staff is super friendly and attentive to the table. There were points where we weren't sure exactly who our server was because it changed constantly but overall, the staff were nice. If we had questions and they didn't know the answers, they went into the back to find out. Some of the answers were still confusing but it's the thought that counts lol As far as beverages are concerned, the lemonades were delicious. They have a bunch of flavors in these cute, oversized pouches which really build an aesthetic. For dinner, I had shrimp, mussels, clams, sausage, and crabs. My friend had crabs and shrimp with an add on of garlic noodles. Okay, so overall the seafood was juicy, not over cooked, and well covered in the sauce. But the sauce-- ahh. I wish they had more options, for example a possible garlic butter add-on. There were really only 2, so it doesn't give patrons much of a choice if you don't like their signature sauce. If you're into seafood and sweet then this is your place. The Cap't Lou sauce is a cross between Cajun and slightly sweet sugar cookies. The hotter the level you go, the less sweet it is but there's always a hint of sugar. I'm not really into sugar and seafood so it didn't work for me. The garlic noodles were the same thing except more amplified. They literally tasted as if the chef poured some sugar cane right into the mix which was super disappointing. I don't know who thought it was a good idea to mix butter, garlic, cheese and cane sugar but hey, if you're into that kind of thing sure. I'm a salty meets sweet girl but there are some things it just doesn't work for and unfortunately l, this was it. The beignets were more like zeppolis but zeppolis are always delicious so I'm not complaining. All in all, I want to say I'll be back but more than likely I won't because the digestive challenges that occurred between my friends and I after were excessive. I'm sure it was the combo of sugar, salt, Cajun, just too many things. Hopefully, we had an off day and the chef confused the salt with the sugar in the back? I'm not sure.

Funnel Cake Fries - A white tray holds funnel cake fries sprinkled with powdered sugar, served with two scoops of whipped cream topped with chocolate syrup. The fries are golden brown and crispy, arranged in a pile. The whipped cream scoops are garnished with chocolate syrup, adding contrast. The tray is placed on a table with a printed tablecloth featuring seafood illustrations and text.

There's a whole lot so easy parking. The drink pouches are so fun and it's BYOB if you wanted to add alcohol. Had the boiler and the king crab legs were insane. Clam chowder was sooo good. Loved the Remoulade and Cajun seasoning was so delicious. Service was great.

The menu from The Boiler restaurant displays various seafood dishes, including crab, lobster, shrimp, and crawfish, with options to choose sauces and spice levels. It also offers side dishes such as garlic noodles, sausage, fries, and more, along with combo meal options with different weight choices. The menu is printed on black paper with white and red accents, and includes prices for each item. The layout is organized into sections for seafood, sides, and combo meals.

Seafood Boil Crazing Satisfied! Stopped in for take-out and ordered 1/2 Lb Snow Crab and 1/2 Shrimp (head off) with medium cap't loui sauce. Definitely on the hotter side regarding the sauce yet was flavorful. I was told that my combo came with corn and potatoes so I did not order extra but was very disappointed when I arrived home and noticed my order only contained one potato and one corn on the corn.

Got the soupy rice dish (forget the name) with shrimp. SO satisfying! They offer complimentary soup ahead of your entree, along with bread. It was hard not to overeat! Huge portions too, btw. Very generous. Sat at the bar. Bartender was hard working, serving all the customers who were sitting at the bar as well as keeping up with bar needs. Very friendly. I'm not sure if it was because it was midweek or if the chef was simply off his game on this night, but the experience was disappointing overall. The first thing I noticed when I sat down was that my knife was dirty. I ended up taking another knife from a different table. The ambiance, as always, was wonderful, and there were only two other tables occupied, so the restaurant was not busy at all. They started us off with soup, and it was chicken noodle soup. I was honestly very disappointed. When I go to a Spanish restaurant, especially one like this, I expect something traditional like caldo gallego or a similar house soup -- not chicken noodle soup that I could easily make at home. For appetizers, we ordered shrimp in garlic sauce and calamari. Both were absolutely delicious and honestly the highlight of the meal. We also had to ask the waiter for bread, and when it finally arrived, we were each given one very small roll. Our main entrées were sautéed tilapia and shrimp in lemon sauce with mashed potatoes and string beans, and breaded veal cutlet Milanese with mushrooms in a wine and brandy sauce over mashed potatoes. Unfortunately, neither entrée stood out the way meals here usually do. The tilapia was sitting on a bed of mashed potatoes and absolutely swimming in lemon sauce. There was so much sauce that it completely soaked the mashed potatoes and vegetables. I could only eat the top portion of the fish. My husband also mentioned that his breaded veal was very oily. The waiter never returned to ask if we wanted anything else to drink. The water had no ice and felt warm. We also had to ask for additional bread. I'm used to bread being left at the table, not rationed piece by piece. When the waiter asked if we enjoyed our meal, I politely explained that I did not care for mine and why, especially since most of it was left untouched. He looked at me like I had ten heads. I truly hate writing this because this restaurant has been one of my favorites for years, but this visit just did not live up to the standard I've come to expect.

On day of, Food never arrived, I called the store several times this yielded zero results, just empty promises: "we are making it now" "it's on the way" To add insult to injury when after 4 hours of not receiving food, I called to cancel-was put on indefinite hold no one came back on the line. I finally hung up, waited several minutes and called back. Spoke with a "manager" (he sounded exactly like the guy who put me on indefinite hold) who said "we will cancel the order and refund your money it will take 24-48 hours" well, guess what? Almost a week in and they didn't refund anything the "pending" charge was actually processed. I had to get my credit card company involved. Extremely poor customer service. As frequently…read moreas I've patronized this location and spent plenty of money, the last time was my last time. The host/cashier, La'Keith, who took my order AND the manager (Taliah?) both exhibited disgustingly poor service from entry to exit. Neither individual cared enough to apologize or rectify THEIR wrongdoings. It was another employee, who did the cooking, who apologized on their behalf. La'Keith rolled his eyes, heavy sighed, and stared at me.... never asked to take my order or anything that is typically expected when you walk into an establish to order food. After paying for my order, I realized on the receipt, La'Keith charged me $2.00 for "all flats" in which I never requested. So, I had to be refunded and recharged correctly, by someone else. He also made up a name in their system (shown on the receipt), instead of asking for my name. So when my order was ready, the gentleman calling the name did so over & over. La'Keith also did not ask if/what kind of dipping sauce I would like, so he chose for me. So glad I checked the bag before leaving, it was not what I wanted. So that had to be changed as well. The poor service was appalling to say the least, and you'd think with so many other options and locations nearby they'd care enough to provide at least decent service. It matters!! After bringing this to the manager's attention (which she knew because she was clearly standing nearby, witnessing everything), still.. she shrugged her shoulders. Wingstop's corporate offices should be aware that their employees need to be trained better! The food - the wings are good, lemon pepper specifically. The chicken tenders are surprisingly good, too. A bit overpriced, but not even free food should be accompanied by nasty service. I would not recommend this location to anyone. Try Watchung and/or Linden.
