This place knows how to make a sub. It sort of reminds me of how good Quiznos was back in the late…read more90s and early 2000s. The service was awesome and the wait wasn't long at all. The ambiance was typical of a sub restaurant and very clean. I had the 12in Gator and it was filling! All the ingredients were cooked just right and the bread they use is perfect. Flavorful sirloin steak, moist chicken, kielbasa, grilled onions, bacon bits and their swamp sauce all melted together with provolone. My wife had the maple bacon chicken sub which was also very tasty but a lil too sweet for me. Its not on their menu anymore but you can still get it. Its a smokehouse maple rubbed chicken, maple syrup glaze, bacon ,lettuce, tomato and mayo. Will be back to try some other sandos for sure! Meridian finally has a great sandwich shop!

Oh man. Stopped by this place after arriving to Boise for Thanksgiving. Just wanted a quick…read moresandwich. We ordered and no joke sat for 20+ min to get our food. Once our food was brought over, the worker dropped our fries all over the table and then proceeded to ask if we wanted a new order. Um, yes please? Then we started unwrapping our sandwich order and noticed that we got one of our sandwiches as the wrong order, and it turned out that the people sitting across the room from us got our sandwich and we got theirs. So then we had to wait longer for them to remake the sandwich. Our kids ordered the chicken strips, which did not look like chicken when they arrived. The color was very weird. The only thing that deserved a one star was that at the end of our visit, one of our kids accidentally spilt their drink, and the worker came over and took care of it no problem and was very gracious, so that was a bit of a saving grace. Overall, this place is a bummer bummer. It's not that hard to make a sandwich. Wouldn't go back.

The bar offers the usual features, I'm not a drinker so I can't review them. It seems like there are a lot of regulars that come here, and that is good.

A friend recommended this restaurant so we came here for lunch during the week at about 2 pm…read more Even so, parking was at a premium. We parked next to the restaurant along a little access lane to the back of the strip mall. There is a little outdoor patio. When we first arrived the place was pretty busy, and there was maybe one table on the patio, so we opted to sit inside. In retrospect, we probably should have sat on the patio. The inside of the restaurant is also pretty small. There is a full service bar with seating on the left. Otherwise, there are plain wood tables and chairs. We sat by the window. By the time we left there was one other party of two at a table and one person at the bar. Not to be too critical, but the inside did not feel or smell clean. There was an odor of burnt cooking oil that was somewhat unpleasant, no doubt emanating from the kitchen. The bathrooms were decent. Our server took good care of us, but did not present much personality nor seem particularly friendly. The food was a mixed bag. I had the Grant burger with cheese. The patty was well cooked, medium, the way I like, though I wasn't asked how I wanted it. The bun was good. The french fries, while not crispy, were still good. My wife had the fish and chips. She was not fond of the batter for the fish, finding it a little to heavy and thick, and the fish not as flavorful as she'd like. So, overall, I would say that if we lived in a neighborhood close to Grant's, we might frequent it more. However, we live in Star, and there are restaurants much closer serving the same food that I feel is as good or better.

I have been to the downtown location and had such a good experience there. The staff there was so friendly! Unfortunately, today's visit at it's sister location was not the same. Walking in, the joint is really bright and clean. I appreciate the huge menu boards of all their items. Everything looked so good at first glance in the display case. We hung out for a second going over everything when the employees started coming out. We weren't really greeted. No one really said hi. Finally a gentleman stood there to take our order. I got my husband's order taken care of. I still needed a minute and finally decided on my sandwich. And this is when things really started to go down hill. We stood at the counter waiting to pay. Waiting, waiting, standing there like a couple idiots. The young gal behind the counter let some other customer cut us off and pay for some random drinks. And then we just stood there. I asked the gal if she was going to ring us up and she said no. "Go sit down and you pay when you get your food". Well, that would have been nice to know if someone would have told us that in the first place. We finally paid for our order, got our food and a table. For brunch I grabbed a tasty turkey sammy on a croissant. My husband got a egg, ham and cheese on a croissant. We also snagged a couple smoothies. We got lemon mango and peach. Our sandwiches were nicely made. My sandwich had fresh veggies in it, a good amount of turkey and the herb cream cheese was savory. My husband devoured his breakfast sammy. The croissant was buttery and soft. It honestly was a great sandwich. If you're planning on selling boba in your teas, coffees and smoothies, please make sure the boba pearls are edible. It was amazing how many uncooked boba pearls were on the bottom of my smoothie. Hard, inedible pearls. How embarrassing. I didn't even order them in my smoothie but I got them. I paid for inedible boba pearls so make sure you specify if you want them or not. As gross as they were, I would recommend a hard no on the boba pearls. The smoothies itself were good. The lemon mango was refreshing even though it was thick and hearty. The peach smoothie was really tasty as well. They are gracious with their sizes. I got medium and barely drank half. I will say their smoothies are pretty legit. As good as the sammys were, I just can't get over the rude staff and my hard boba pearls. For me, I rate on the whole experience and I just can't go higher than a 2. Communication with your customers is so important and clearly this joint lacks it. So basic but not given here. I'll stick to the downtown location for my future Sarah's bagel visits from now on. I want to enjoy my food that's prepared by a nice staff.
