We came here today for lunch and so glad we did. This is a locally owned place which I love and had such a great experience. Walking looks like it should a deli meat counter with all the meat and cheese on display. They also specialize in fried chicken and hand cut fries but will wait for another time for that. We absolutely loved my sandwich and so did my wife. Plus we also tried the homemade macaroni salad and pasta salad. Both were absolutely delicious! You can tell the freshness in everything they do here. The service for sure 5 star! Everyone here was so nice and friendly. I we will for sure be back!! This was a great find and avoid the typical chain sandwich shops.

Andre and Caden had excellent service and gave us a great rundown of how Hugo's works. Hole in the wall vibe- but that was a good sandwich. great meat to bread ratio.

Hugo's Deli On 2/11/21, I bought $32+ of food at Hugo's Deli in Boise, which included pretty much everything except a sandwich. Overall, I was disappointed. The two items I did like were the fried chicken breast ($3.59) and the fries ($1.82). The fries come with the option of their homemade fry sauce and "spicy ketchup." I tried both. I like the fry sauce, which has barbecue sauce added to it. I was surprised to find that the "spicy ketchup" is nothing more than cocktail sauce. I was not so impressed with either item that I see myself returning for them. The kielbasa sausage ($1.44) looked good but had little flavor and was overwhelmingly "fatty." I took one bite and was done with it. I was told none of the sides/salads, with the exception of the coleslaw ($1.93) are made there. They are from Sysco I'm pretty sure the slaw dressing isn't made there either. Although the cabbage in the coleslaw seemed relatively fresh, it was overly dressed. The potato salad ($2.30) was okay. I didn't like the macaroni salad ($2.07) at all. The only item I cared for was the baked beans ($3.71). I was told they make their macaroni and cheese ($2.64) in the house. It was not exceptional in anyway. It tasted better than next day after I added salt to it. I had assumed the soups were made in house. I wish I would've asked before ordering them because I could tell simply from looking at them that they were not. I got a small Split Pea and Tomato Basil with Pasta ($2.95 each). Neither one was good. The desserts are made by a former employee. I bought the Carrot Cake ($3.39) and an Eclair ($1.99). I didn't like either one. The carrot cake was overly sweet. The eclair looks good, but the puff pastry seems stale and the filling was "meh." ImHugo's Deli is a business I wanted to try for years. Although I did not order a sandwich, based on the large variety of food that I did try, as well as the quality of their deli meat, and how overpriced the food is, the majority of which is not even made in-house, I'm not inclined to give it a second chance. I did appreciate that Hugo's Deli is following the mask mandate.

Fast friendly service. Clean environment. They were very busy and got our order correct. We got it to go. Great sandwiches. The fries are awesome also. We will definitely be back

$8.26 for this little piece of sandwich. I came here last week and this sandwich was FILLED with turkey, with a FULL sandwich cut in half rather than this small sandwich. They didn't even ask me if I wanted cheese. The pepperjack cheese on this is from my fridge. Horrible!!! I'm a college student I can't afford this, I'll go somewhere else instead for now on :) train your employees right

A person came from another part of the building after about 5 mins... I assume that is where the sandwhiches are made. Orders were placed. I had the Brisket special sandwhich and asked for it plain... ie, brisket and bun. I was second in line and there was another person behind me and then another came in. I waited for about 15 mins. I noticed the cashier disappeared again to get someones food. Then he was chatting with some guests for a bit. Finally, he disappeared again and arrived with two orders, but it was the two people AFTER me. Another 5 minutes later I got my brisket sandwhich. Also a few other people came in after me and the same process seemed to repeat over and over... ie come in to an empty cashier, wait around in confusion. Several people mentioned it was their first time that day so maybe having a sign or having some sort of system to notify when an order is ready. It looks like the slice of brisket I got was the outside and about 6-7"s long and it was really hard, stringy and tough to chew. It would have been nice if it was chopped finely and if I could have gotten something a bit more tender. It was warmed up though. You would think this would take 30 seconds to make this sandwhich, I should have to wait 15-20 mins. The flavor was ok, but I only ate about half and ended up having to get rid of the other half due to it just being too chewy and one long piece. Parking lot was fairly full, but nice that there was parking there. The vibe was a bit weird overall as well. I don't think I will be back. I am sure they have better sandwhiches, but I just didn't really enjoy the experience and the price was above $15.

There wasn't much in the lettuce department. For 14 bucks, there wasn't a lot of salad to it. My husband always gets the Boise Philly and they always do a good job. So, it's hard for me to say no when my husband wants to come here. We stopped in today for a late lunch. My husband ordered his normal. I decided to be different and ordered the black and blue brat. The picture they have on the brat in their menu looked so good so I had to get it. We grabbed a table and hung out till our food was ready. The food came out nice and hot. My husband's sandwich looked killer like always. Mine...... I wish I could have said the same. My brat came on a sandwich bun. It still looked good but I knew it was going to be a lot of breading to my brat. The brat as savory and peppery. It was good and had a good snap to it. It was a little hard to enjoy the brat since they drowned my bun with the ground mustard. It was really overwhelming. And for 2 bucks you can add sauerkraut. Don't bother adding it cause you barely get any. My husband's sandwich was good. The filet was tender and the cheese was nice and melty. Overall, it was an ok meal. I wish they would have told me about the bun being different. I would have ordered something else. I really want to like this place. They are local and I know the serve great did but I just haven't had that experience yet.

If your coming here for the first time do not miss the schnitzel meals! It's a good hearty meal to fill a hungry belly! I had the Donor Kebab this time because I hadn't tried it yet and I have been missing out. It was really good! The mixed meat was on point and cooked just right. The veggie combinations were different then what I'm used to with kebabs but it worked really well. They had red cabbage, cucumber, tomato, lettuce, and pepperoncinis. The pita was wrapped in a thin, yet thick enough wrap to hold it all together and it was a perfect compliment to this Kebab! You can also never go wrong with any sausages, bratwurst or bologna. He even insisted the candy was in the wrong place and should be more expensive. His behavior was so rude that a nearby coworker--a kind, blonde woman--actually apologized to us for his conduct and wished us a Happy Women's Day. It is disappointing to see such a lack of manners.
