Drink options

I haven't seen a restaurant offer an amazing list of drinks that is healthy and non-alcoholic like First Watch. I tried the Pineapple Express and it was sooo good. The food was also so delicious. I'd recommend joining the waitlist online because it can get very busy!

Trifecta with waffle

I was here as a guest on their friends & family day. It's nice in the modern farmhouse style that most places seem to be these days. Service, with the exception of the female manager/trainer in the dark blue polo shirt who was rude to us and all the staff, was great. I get that you want to push the juice- but we are not juice drinking people. Drinks- cold brew coffee and chocolate milk - standard. Not great, but drinkable. Food - the million dollar bacon is probably what earned them the extra star to push it over 3. Pork sausage was also really good. Everything else (we both got the trifecta combo with a waffle) was just middle of the road. Was it terrible? No- just not fabulous. Would we come back- yes. There's other things to try and we'd get one of those instead. I look forward to seeing this spot evolve- and think they have a nice possible area to put a patio in the future.

I was lucky enough to go to the opening of First Watch and it did not disappoint! The food and drinks were delicious! We started off with the million dollar bacon for the table which is bacon with brown sugar and a maple drizzle. We also ordered some of their fresh pressed juices. Our favorite was the morning meditation. The menu is pretty vast, which was one of the only negatives I found during this experience. There was so many options it was hard to narrow down what I wanted to order. Overall the food and service were great and we definitely enjoyed the visit!

We were invited to the friends & family soft grand opening event. Yes, our food and drinks were comped. No, my review has no bearing on being comped food. No, this was not a Yelp event. This was a spontaneous email invite from signing up for their email updates. My friends have been raving about the original Meridian location so I honestly had super high expectations...glad to know that this new Ten Mile location met and exceeded most of those expectations. We were quickly seated by very friendly and eager hosts, which made it a very positive experience from the start. I've been to several soft opening events in the past at various restaurants and to date, this was the quickest and best initial impression I've ever had. We were seated next to a larger party, at a two seater table next to a hostess station...probably my least favorite part. The table felt small and I had no place to put my purse...not to mention, constant traffic from the host station and being uncomfortably close to the party next to us. Perhaps I'm a table snob, but I would have preferred a booth. Since this is preference and I was getting a comped meal, I felt it best to shut my yapper. Our server Amanda was very friendly and wonderfully suggestive without being pushy. I loved that. On a whim, I decided to try the Kale Tonic, due to Amanda's suggestion, which was surprisingly delicious...it was obvious that everything was freshly squeezed or juiced and it was pleasantly fresh and refreshing. The million dollar bacon came out next. I would have appreciated some appetizer plates but wasn't sure if it was a soft opening misstep or standard. Hubby and I reached in and grabbed each strip with caveman style glee. The bacon was not as crispy as I would have liked and the cayenne definitely gives the bacon a slight kick, but overall, the balance of sweet, salt and heat was a delight. Next came my chili chorizo omelet with seasoned potatoes and whole grain toast. I don't typically eat green chilis but the description of the omelet had me drooling, especially the addition of the house made pico and jam. I was smitten kitten with the beautifully fresh avocado, tender chorizo (not too spicy), onions, cheese (not too much...I wouldn't have minded more) and green chilis. The pico was a little watery but an excellent companion to the perfect dollop of sour cream and omelet nibbles. The seasoned potatoes were spot on...lightly crispy outsides, pillowy insides and chunks of crispy onions throughout. The toast was perfectly toasted to medium with melted butter nestled in each nook and cranny. My only complaint is that it's pretty thick and was tough to make mini egg sandwiches for me to have, but again, that's a me thing. It was scrumptious...and a dip in the strawberry jam made it delectable. Hubby had the turkey sausage, eggs and gravy. He ate every bite....which he never, ever does. He said the gravy rivaled my homemade gravy (tsk tsk)! I know First Watch is a large chain and a rapidly growing chain as well, but I can see why. The food was a nice departure from the standard breakfast flair, the food was obviously house made, fresh, craveable and the service was very attentive (almost too much so). The prices are on the higher side, but you're paying for larger portions of fresher food. I may not go often (due to the hours and working full time) but when I do end up going again, I will relish it!

Floridian French Toast!

Nice clean new breakfast and lunch restaurant. Lots of parking too right in front of it. I've only been here once and will return to try other things. Kaitlyn, our waitress, was friendly and got our food going. We tried Floridian French Toast. Loaded with fresh sliced fruit! The only negative is the music was a little too loud and made it a little hard to visit at our table. We'll be back!

Huge menu & delicious juices!! So many options, including gluten free, and good prices (approx. $15 for an entree). The morning meditation juice was so so good! The restaurant is brand new and so cute inside (no outdoor seating), great for a big or small group. All the servers were so sweet and helpful.

Everyone should support and try this new business. The food tasted great and the prices were decent. It's new so I didn't judge the slow service yet. It was like a farmhouse theme and clean (again new). Will try again in a few months once the rush is gone. Berry compote was magical.

The thing that jumped out at me was the photo of the burger, now call me crazy but I think at this point I can look at a menu, photos of food and then the reviews to guide me. Yelp hasn't failed me yet! The first thing was walking in the door there were two hostess who smiled and greeted me. We were seated at the bar since there were just two of us. I ordered the Crave burger with bacon and my guest ordered the house salad with tortilla soup. Everything was excellent! The burger was juicy, flavorful, the bacon was perfectly crispy, Smokey and the white cheddar cheese was the perfect compliment! Now let's talk about the bun, I typically don't eat burger buns but this one was the exception to the rule. It was homemade obviously, buttery, light, and toasted to perfection. I ate both of them! Hahahaha! I felt so dirty typing that the French fries were crispy, just the right amount of salty and fluffy on the inside, crispy on the outside. My guest agrees with everything in this review. The house salad was fresh, the vinaigrette was homemade and delicious and the tortilla soup was even great! The ambience was a place you could have a business meeting or take your significant other on a date night. There is literally something for everyone on their crave-able menu ( see what I did there?) Our server who was the bartender kept our glasses full and made sure he checked on us often. I found my new burger spot in Eagle, Idaho?!?! Five stars.

With its varied menu and delicious happy hour selection this place could be a favorite for a wide variety of the local population. Classy, welcoming with engaging staff. While the selections of taps are diverse and smart for diners, it is the kitchen that is the real star here. We tried the Happy Hour fare (3-5 pm). See the pics for details. We also tried the Kobe sliders, but they fell short of the Chicken Sliders with their tender, juicy cuts of breast. The lineup of drinks are on full display at the bar and with scannable menus. This is a solid place for bringing friends or family for a gathering - yes, like the name suggests "Common". If anyone in your group cannot find a drink and meal to their liking, then you need to replace that person from your social circle or family. 2 hour free parking directly behind the building makes this location much better than the downtown businesses in the liberal ghetto of Boise where they will soon tax the air you breathe. Here, the pricing will not require you to take out a second mortgage as the Boise elites would have you do for eating in their downtown. It is no surprise that more quality dining places are opening in cities like Eagle, Caldwell, Nampa and Meridian where Idahoans can enjoy life.

For some reason, we were seated in a corner booth near the bathrooms, while other customers were seated elsewhere in the restaurant. We didn't mind, however, because it was nice and quiet. And, for me, convenient. My wife had the Sirloin Salad, and I had the Ahi Poke Salad. My wife said that her meat was cooked the way she likes it, and the rest of the ingredients were delicious. For me, the ahi, sesame vinaigrette dressing, wonton strips, onions, and greens were very good. The food is always good at The Tavern. And, the prices are reasonable. Unlike our past experiences, the service this time around was not up to our usual. Our server, Hannah C., seemed in a rush and impatient. Though she told us to ask her if we had questions, I didn't find her responses to be pleasant. The first dish my wife was interested in had Boursin cheese. My wife had not heard of it, and she cannot eat a lot of cheese. She preferred something milder, like mozarella. When she inquired of Hannah, the reply was terse. "We don't have mozarella." "Do you have another milder cheese?" "Like what?" Not in a nice way, and not professional, in my opinion. And, she was loud. We waited longer than usual for our food, and when Hannah brought it, she just dropped the plates and split. To her credit, she did check in on us once during our meal. Now I don't know what kind of day Hannah was having. Maybe not so good. I don't know what kind of person she is, and I'll give her the benefit of the doubt that she is a nice woman. Hopefully she is not like how she was with us to all of her customers. I'm a 20% tipper. For her, it was 18%. I wasn't given a choice, but I would have gone down to 15%.

Unfortunately, we weren't able to order food because we had to catch a movie. However, during our visit, we overheard who we believe to be one of the owners (his photos were displayed on the wall) speaking poorly about employees and referring to them as "idiots." That alone was disappointing, but hearing it within earshot of customers felt extremely unprofessional. As a long-time business owner myself, I firmly believe you are only as strong as your team. Respecting employees -- especially publicly -- is critical to a healthy work environment and strong customer experience. It was uncomfortable to witness and ultimately the reason we won't be returning. I genuinely felt sorry for the staff working that shift. Additionally, it appeared that both owners may have been drinking while on shift, which also felt unprofessional. One of them did approach us and seemed very sweet, but after overhearing the earlier comments, it unfortunately changed the entire atmosphere for us. The overall ambiance was decent, and Alex did a great job. It's just disappointing when leadership undermines what could otherwise be a positive experience.
