I have heard Bee's use to be great but have gone down hill…read more Took my car to Bee's on 6/13/2023 because my AC was blowing hot on driver's side & only slightly cool on passenger side. Bee's replaced Expansion Valve ($968.86). Fast forward to August 2024..AC starting failing again. Called Bee's hoping for some kind of warranty...no luck. They did diagnostic & per Bee's the Expansion Valve failed...same part fixed last June ($527.24). He did mention that he saw a slight compressor operation failure but his wife said he wasn't too worried about it. Three days later, AC is performing worse than when I brought it on 8/16. Called, they said bring back in. Arrived, shop was closed, so I left key in drop box. Called to let them know, mailbox full. I also emailed. Called again next day, one of their mechanics answered & said "I'll let him know when he shows up." That was a clue. They had my car for 8 days, I called, left messages, went by (closed). Showed up at their shop again on 9/4 at 10am..waited till 11 when he finally arrived. He said he thought his wife called me to update..nope. 8 days & car was parked in same spot on street & couldn't really tell me much. Took to Griffis, and they said I need a new compressor. They are amazing & so happy I found them. At this point I have no idea if my Expansion Valve even needed to be replaced.

Charged my girlfriend to tighten an oil filter they put on in February that was causing an oil leak…read moreand add a quart of oil. Also charged for an estimate on struts which do not need to be replaced per tire kingdom. See photo of quote. Who charges to give a quote? Who charges 83 bucks to tighten an oil filter and add one quart of oil? Oh yeah....bees does! Should be called bee careful. Place has really gone down tubes since the dad left. They also were not good about calling to reschedule work done in March...3 rescheduled with conflicting stories depending on who she spoke to on the phone. One of the times she drove 45 minutes all the way there and they said 'we're too busy' to service her car when they could have called to let her know the real issue was they had the wrong part. Second time they did call but she was half way there. This time at least they didn't lie to her. Third time they finally installed a used part and the next day the light came on again. Fact was she was done with bees in March but assumed they wouldn't charge her to take care of the oil leak that was caused by their negligence. But $83 later and a bogus quote, once again.....BEES STIKES AGAIN. I told her she should have put them on blast the last time they rooked her, but her dad s2ore by them for years. But the younger generation is now in charge now and it looks like bees is bee-ing run into the dirt!

When we're done they gave me an estimate based on my needs and when I decided to only some of the work they did NOT pressure to do anymore. When I went back a little while late to pick the car up the manager Eric came in from the shop and told the associate handling me .. Rich I think.. to not forget my military discount. He saw my DAV tag. Got an extra 10% off without asking or promoting. They were all great and will have no problem going back to complete the rest of the work. Great team. read all the BS you want but make your own decision. Give them a shot. You won't be disappointed.

On November 29, 2025, I took advantage of a Black Friday deal offered by Pep Boys: buy two Cooper…read moreTires, get two free. On the same day, I scheduled an appointment for the installation of the four tires at Pep Boys store #1054 for 10:00 AM on December 5, 2025. After waiting an hour, I was apologized to for the delay and assured that I would be next. However, after another hour, my vehicle was finally on the lift with the rims and tires removed, only to be informed, "Sorry, we don't have your tires in stock." I was then offered the option to purchase other tires at an additional cost (which felt like a bait-and-switch). I understand that issues can arise, especially during a sale. However, part of good customer service should involve checking inventory before making a customer wait two hours past a scheduled appointment, only to inform them after their old tires have been removed from the vehicle. While at store 1054, I called Pep Boys customer service. I was told my case would be forwarded to a district manager, who would call me back, and was advised to "please monitor my calls." A day later, I am still waiting for that district manager to contact me. What has happened to basic customer service? If it weren't for the customer, businesses would not exist. The customer keeps your doors open, Pep Boys! I received a call at 5:15 PM on December 5, 2025, from Pep Boys Store 1054, notifying me that my tires have arrived and that I can schedule another appointment for installation. Now, I'm questioning whether I can trust Pep Boys for this installation. Can I trust that my life and my family's safety will be protected after Pep Boys works on my vehicle?
