Tickets were super affordable so I got a few for me and my family. There's plenty of free parking around the building. They also have some concessions in the lobby including popcorn, candy, soda, beer and wine, and a few basic cocktails. The volunteer ushers were so cheerful and helpful. My mom was concerned about accessibility but there are a few handicapped spaces around the back of the building and all automatic doors. I purposely picked seats in the back row of the orchestra seats since there was just one step down. But I believe they have seats along the side that are wider, more comfortable chairs and no steps to access. Plus there is an elevator to the balcony level. I thought the show was great. The costumes were fantastic! My family loved our visit and we'll definitely be back.

I visited Hendricks Live to see a children's play. I should say, the venue is officially called Hendricks Live! With an exclamation mark. As a rule, my fingers will not let me type any word or phrase containing extraneous punctuation. So, henceforth, I will be writing Hendricks Live without an exclamation. I really like that they let you eat inside the theatre. I mean, I didn't eat in there, but I like that they give you the option. They have a concession stand with things like frosted cookies, popcorn, candy, wine, beer and soft drinks. The seats have cup holders. The theatre seems relatively new and well-taken-care-of. The seats were comfy, and even though my son, who is on the shorter side, sat in back of two adults, he could still see the stage. The people who scanned our digital tickets and showed us to our seats were very friendly. The whole experience was pleasant, and we had a nice time at the theatre.

The only thing is you feel so far from the restrooms and the movie was 3 hours long. So It made me miss a bit more that I would have liked. But the movies are just soooo long now! The concessions stand was quick and organized. You fill your own drinks at the Coke freestyle machines. I would only see movies in Dolby here though. It was a few more dollars, but we have the A-List pass so we didn't mind since it is all included.

I didn't get any during my visit, but maybe I should have. The soft drinks are dispensed at a machine off to the side, and you can pick your flavor of soda. Another neat thing that I noticed: You can order your concessions ahead of time, and they will be ready to be picked up at a little nook off to the side. This would come in handy if you want to skip waiting in line! I don't usually order food at a movie theatre, but I had some food credits burning a hole in my pocket, so I got chicken tenders, mini chocolate chip cookies and pretzel bites for my child. My child originally wanted the Bavarian pretzel, but we were informed that the pretzel is as big as a steering wheel, so we opted for the pretzel bites instead. Who is buying soft pretzels as big as steering wheels? That seems obscene to me. Just make them a normal size? The chicken tenders were actually really good. Maybe my expectations were low for these chicken tenders, but they were fresh and crispy, and you get six big tendies in an order, with your choice of sauce (I chose honey mustard). The mini cookies were served warm, but they tasted a little weird -- almost like they were baked on a pan that had something else on it previously, like chicken tenders. As far as the movie theatre itself: We must have been in one of the smaller theatres, because it felt a little tight in there. But the sound was great, and the temperature was decent, and we generally had a good time.

I pre purchased our tickets online, you can choose your day/time slot and it's $5 per person... when you arrive and check-in you're given a colored wrist band(every hour is a different color), then you wait in line for your turn on the ice. Once on the ice you bump and slide into other bumper cars for 5 min and then return to the end of the line... during our hour we had three turns on the ice. We did allow a few people to go ahead of us a few times so that we could all be on the ice at the same time, so if you have a smaller group you may have more turns on the ice than we did. The only reason I did not give 5 stars is because during our hour random parts kept appearing on the ice: screws, brackets... they didn't pause to inspect the cars and during our last ride the motor fell off the bottom of the car my sister was in... This was something none of us had done before and was a lot fun! I'd definitely go again!!

It was difficult at first to know where to check in but after walking around for a couple minutes it was clear. The lines were long for the Bumper Cars but it moved quickly. We had the opportunity to go several times throughout the night. The food truck, A Small Town Throw Down, folks were super friendly. They offered food and hot chocolate and more. I posted the hours but I didn't see what days they have ice skating vs. Bumper Cars. You'll need to call. The Ice Rink is in Washington Township Park. It's a gorgeous park with many recreational opportunties. The park is 160 acres plus a preserved wooded area and a great deal of open green space. This park has so many incredible amenities. There is a 24 foot Gazebo, two playgrounds, a sand volleyball court, horseshoe pits, a basketball court, a splash pad, 4 covered picnic facilities, and an outdoor fitness station. If that's not enough to get your interest then let's talk about these amenities. The Pavilion Center is where the office is. It is also an Event Center that can be used for indoor weddings/events, a Paw Park with 3 separate fenced in areas for all size of dogs. 5 plus miles of trails and of course the historic 1876 Whipple Iron Truss Bridge. Lots of activities for any ages. It can be a quite sanctuary or a space to be very active. Stop by this gorgeous park and find your favorite activity and don't forget the Bumper Cars.

Seriously, I love my children but the stress level in there could get pretty high with a bunch of little dudes all needing something at the same time and the teenagers working there were awesome. Their areas were spaced out anyway so they were already social distancing before it was cool. For two kids, an hour each, came to $70 which sounds like a lot but I don't have to buy a gaming computer and a VR kit and I don't have to get pissed when the kids scuff up the drywall playing Job Simulator at my house.

I attended an Indy Rainbow Chamber After Hours event at Gallery Forty-Two. The building dates to…read more1830 and has been loving restored. There are new owners who are just getting into the art and event space business, their passion for the building and potential for the space shone through when we were talking to them. Bill gave us a tour of all 4 floors, explaining some of the art on display and detailing his plans for the spaces not yet finished. Gallery Forty-Two is going to be the perfect venue for weddings, its so close to Monument Circle it provides the perfect backdrop for weddings pictures downtown. There are lots of details and textures such as exposed brick and original doors that make for amazing photo ops inside also. The staff were all friendly and welcoming. This makes me want to renew my vows so I have a reason to book an event here. They do events on 2nd Fridays (instead of 1st Fridays to avoid competing with so many other downtown events) from 6-9pm. That's Regal Shiloh Crossing, an Avon, Indiana 18-screen cinema that has been fairly well updated. There's an IMAX screen, 4DX, and other luxury options including luxury reclining seats. While I know this is an older theater, it's for the most part kept clean and looked pretty spiffy to me (I wonder if I'm the first Yelper to use "spiffy" in a review?). The employees were all friendly. Accessibility is strong here with accessible parking, appropriate curb cuts, and accessible seating options nicely done in the auditorium-style theaters. Regal offers a rewards program and an unlimited movie subscription option (2D movies). At one point, it really seemed like Regal was declining as a chain. Theaters like this one give me some hope. It's not perfect. I wouldn't call it a destination theater, but I do think it serves this community well. There aren't a lot of options around Avon other than the screenings at Danville's Royal Theatre. It is worth noting that after 8pm anyone under the age of 17 has to be accompanied by a parent or legal guardian - I think this has helped solve a lot of past complaints as the theater really used to be a gathering space for teens in the area. While my time is winding down as I get closer to resolving my father's estate, I wouldn't hesitate to return here if in the area or if friends on this side of town wanted to see a movie. While it's not Central Indiana's best theater, it's a good option for those living on the westside of Indy or in Hendricks County. Alamo Drafthouse by Lafayette Square does draw some westside folks, but for those for whom that's too long of a drive this is definitely a solid option.
