Entrance from hwy 40

We came to see a live funk band here. So many pluses at this newer venue! As others have mentioned, there's ample free parking in the garage off Center St. (entrance next to Tlachos). There's also a free surface white rock parking lot west of the venue. HL appears small but is thoughtfully designed. Doesn't seem to be a bad seat in the place as a result. We were in the upper balcony but had a great view looking down at the band who sounded great, as well. (We've seen this act many times in the past so I'd like to think we have a discriminating ear!) My friend got a group of us tickets, and she was pleasantly surprised that they offer a military discount. Bonus that they are also not a Ticketmaster-affiliated venue and don't add a ton of extra fees to the ticket prices. When we were leaving, a very nice attendant named Diane told us the venue has 600 seats, and the pit seats can be removed for certain shows. We didn't purchase any food or drinks this visit, so can't comment on that aspect. But the nice seating plan, easy access, and reasonable ticket prices will encourage us to return again soon!

This is a truly lovely new venue in a nice part of a terrific suburb of Indianapolis. It seats just over 600 people and features a very friendly and attentive staff. I'm pretty confident there's not a bad seat in the house. I will definitely be on the lookout for excuses to return here.

Awesome place!! Free parking!!! Convenient location, popcorn or beer available for purchase. Sat 4th row, loved how they go up so u can see over the people in front of you. Great sound quality and the acoustics were phenomenal for a rock concert!!! Lots of shows available, check their schedules and I guarantee you won't be disappointed!! Welcome to the neighborhood!!! 2nd show was a "Few good men" play! Awesome cast, felt some of the actors needed more tone as it's a powerful movie, but overall I liked it.

A bloody but happy curtain call

I was privileged to appear in a production of Deathtrap over the past two weeks and it was amazing. Everything from the staff to the immaculate dressing rooms and green room, it was everything a theater should have. We had great audiences despite the lack of any real writeups or reviews. Apparently, Hendricks County doesn't have the same pull as Hamilton County. But word of mouth served us well and some people came back twice because they had such a good time. That is both to the show and its actors and the venue. So congrats all around. Perhaps in future, reviewers will turn their attention a bit more to the west!

I attended a cooperate event here. This is a gorgeous a clean facility. Parking is free in the garage across the street. The HL team that assisted us was great. There are a couple little stores nearby but I didn't have a chance to check them out. Hendricks Live! Is in the Town Hall. Town Hall is shown on the outside of the building with smaller signs advertising Hendricks Live. It's my understanding that ours was the first event this venue held and they did a great job! I can't speak to the cost/value due to not being involved in that aspect of the event.

Hendricks Live - vibrant, new performing arts center in Plainfield

We've been looking forward to attending a show at this new performing arts center. It's a gorgeous building located in downtown Plainfield - a revitalized section of Main Street. We are frequent diners at The Prewitt across the street and realized there were still tickets to a show starting in one hour. We purchased tickets, enjoyed our dinner, and walked across the street. The building is gorgeous, especially at night. The ushers were knowledgeable and happy to help. The lighting and acoustics were fantastic. We had a such a great time that we purchased tickets to a future show while we were there. There are light concession offerings included bottled water, wine, and canned beer. They also had light snacks like popcorn and spiced nuts (from The Prewitt). The only thing I wish I knew before attending the show - the seating. The map and seat numbers are confusing! We purchased front row seats on an "aisle" according to the map and the aisle was a wall. It was uncomfortable, so we quickly went to the box office and switched our seats (they were so gracious!). The seat numbers are also divided by odds and evens - we saw three different parties separated because they thought they purchased a "row" (I.e.: seats 7, 8, 9, 10) and those seats aren't together. I highly recommend updating the map so no one is disappointed. It's so exciting having an upscale theater minutes from home - what a fantastic addition west of the city!

Technically, I took my son here to work on photos for his photography class. There are many interesting features to take picture of such as the waterfall and gazebo. You can walk in the park and it is connected to other parks and trails. Also good for bile riding too.

The park has a very nice and soothing waterfall near the entrance. The park also has a small area with some picnic tables and there is a lot of shaded areas here. I was surprised to see a bathroom facility here, but it is under renovation at the time of this review. The park is a large garden composed of many smaller gardens such as the Memorial Veterans Garden, and the Enabling Garden. The center piece of the park is a triple gazebo that is very picturesque and can be rented. Even though it is not park of the park, I found another picturesque spot right off of it, a historic iron truss bridge. It spans the White Lick Creek and runs into the White Lick Creek Trail. The park is home to a veterans memorial and a statue that depicts a man holding a child, with two older children playing with a dog at his feet. The sculpture titled "a Celebration of Family values", is meant to signify The Dura builders family dedication to the town of Plainfield. You will also find many dedications and memorials in this park by some of the trees and in areas like the small fountain near the exit and the sundial sculpture across from the gazebos. The park has nice paths that run through it and are connected to a larger network of trails such as the aforementioned White Lick Creek Trail. This is a nice refection park that has a calming peace about it and is very soothing, even though it is located right off of a main thoroughfare. It does not have a shortage of benches. It feeds into some nice trails and offers some nice backdrops for pictures.

I got there at 7:53 and pulled into the driveway. There was no one there and a gate blocked the road. I started backing up and as I was trying to turn my car around I was approached by the female owner of the farm who looked so angry. She asked me what I was doing there and I told her. She told me that her driveway was not a turnaround and I apologized. I must have apologized about 5 or 6 times as she continued to talk to me in an angry and demeaning voice. She told me to go back out to the street and come back at 8:00 and that she would open the gate at that time and tell me where to park. I left the farm and parked on the side of the road until I saw the people I knew arriving. As I drove up, she had a smile on her face. She apologized for yelling at me because she "was tired of people turning around in her driveway." She asked If I had anything to unload and pointed me toward the left of the parking area. My motto in life, and I have raised my children this way, is to ALWAYS respect others. I don't care how many times people turn around in my driveway, I would NEVER come out and yell at them. She knew that people were coming at 8:00 to set up, why didn't she just open the gate? Is it good business for an owner to treat a potential customer this way? The wedding was beautiful, it is a very nice venue, but the day was ruined for me as I was in the presence of a woman who had admonished me like a child.

Jameson Camp is a hidden gem located off of Bridgeport Road just north of West Washington Street…read more First I'd like to take a moment to tell you of the wonderful work Jameson Camp does and how your rental fees help with that mission. The Camp is a beautiful venue for events while the affordable rental fees help support the children and youth programs for at-risk youths. The Camp began in 1928 and you or your grandparents may be familiar with their history of serving ill children. Jameson Camps' focus is on children's social, behavioral and emotional challenges and equipping them for productive and responsible lives. Responding to an increasing concern for childhood obesity a Wellness Camp was launched in 2006, a creative program that utilizes camp to teach healthy choices in fitness and nutrition. Last, but certainly not least, is their Camp Tataya Mato for children affected by HIV/AIDS which is the only residential camp to these special children in Indiana. As you can see your rental fees support the outstanding work Jameson Camp does serving children with health needs in the Indianapolis area. In 2006 they replaced the original headquarter with a beautiful new center, lodge, health center and a nature and arts and crafts center. No only providing enhanced program facilities for the children, these buildings provide new opportunities to serve as a community partner and provide funding from the rental fees. This is a wonderful venue for events as small as a corporate business meeting to an elegant wedding. Several sizes of venues are available or even rent the entire camp for the ideal wedding or family reunion where your event along with family and friends are residing at one location. The Lodge and Cabins are so affordable compared to the cost of hotel rooms and transportation for your wedding guests, business associates or family traveling. The Lodge is its own large facility and sleeps 24 for $450. What a savings compared to a Hotel!! There are four meeting areas of various sizes and prices along with 6 cabins for lodging that accommodates 24 in each plus don't forget The Lodge. The Challenge Course is available to incorporate into your event with low and high ropes plus a climbing wall. Other amenities include a basketball court, swimming pool, open game fields and a campfire circle. The Jameson Center is picturesque with a majestic-pine-framed dining room with a striking two sided fireplace that accommodates 140 persons for dinner. If that's too large select the smaller dining room with fireplace and seats 30. The Jameson Center rental includes the use of their FULL commercial kitchen including the walk-in refrigerator and walk-in freezer. A Chefs' dream whether you use a preferred caterer or you personally prepare the meals. Vanessa, the Office Manager, was telling me of recent large wedding with a beautiful large tent adjacent to the Jameson Center where the guests stepped directly into the tent from the dining room. You can have your wedding and dinner inside and dancing outside. So many options here! Leadership training, Corporate Team Meeting, Weddings, Reunions, endless uses for this venue. Be sure to check out this scenic facility and grounds. Give Vanessa Fry a call for a tour or e-mail her at Vanessa@jamesoncamp.org for additional information.
