Not my favorite movie theatre, to be honest. It's a little outdated and everything feels like it's been touched too many times. The surfaces look sticky, and there are trails of stepped-on popcorn ground into the carpet. The seats do not recline, so expect an old-fashioned movie-going experience. Although, I've read that if you see a movie in the Dolby theatre, the seats are better, so your mileage may vary. One of the good things about this movie theatre is that it serves beer and wine. I didn't get any during my visit, but maybe I should have. The soft drinks are dispensed at a machine off to the side, and you can pick your flavor of soda. Another neat thing that I noticed: You can order your concessions ahead of time, and they will be ready to be picked up at a little nook off to the side. This would come in handy if you want to skip waiting in line! I don't usually order food at a movie theatre, but I had some food credits burning a hole in my pocket, so I got chicken tenders, mini chocolate chip cookies and pretzel bites for my child. My child originally wanted the Bavarian pretzel, but we were informed that the pretzel is as big as a steering wheel, so we opted for the pretzel bites instead. Who is buying soft pretzels as big as steering wheels? That seems obscene to me. Just make them a normal size? The chicken tenders were actually really good. Maybe my expectations were low for these chicken tenders, but they were fresh and crispy, and you get six big tendies in an order, with your choice of sauce (I chose honey mustard). The mini cookies were served warm, but they tasted a little weird -- almost like they were baked on a pan that had something else on it previously, like chicken tenders. As far as the movie theatre itself: We must have been in one of the smaller theatres, because it felt a little tight in there. But the sound was great, and the temperature was decent, and we generally had a good time. read more

This was actually my first time coming to this location and I'm afraid it's my last. I am going to stick to AMC traders pointe for the time being as ALL of their theaters have the updated recline seats. Why on earth do the seats at Perry Crossing force you to sit up straight like you're in the army? Or some etiquette class? I'm not sure if it's only some theaters like this (our movie was showing in #9). I was absolutely uncomfortable the entire movie. Pretty sad to see how movie theaters are stuck in the past. Haven't been to this one since 2019 (I think) and not much has changed. When we walked in to print our tickets (I bought online ahead of time) we had to wait behind two couples at the kiosks. There were only two kiosks and no more cash registers are along the other wall. No human interaction this far, hmm. Of course the kiosks stopped working so we all reported it to the ticket taker who had to reset the machines. After printing our tickets the line for concessions was pretty lengthy. Keep in mind, this was a Friday night. Only one cashier and one helper to scoop popcorn. Will order ahead next time. Budget tickets are the way to go moving forward! Didn't think the prices were reasonable for the experience I had. read more

I went here on a date with my boyfriend to see the fnaf movie. The guy who took our tickets was very kind and friendly, he said our costumes looked good and joked about not knowing what movie we were seeing. Exceptional service. My daughter and her two other 16 year-old friends decided to go to a movie on my daughter's 16th birthday. I dropped her and her friends off and they went into the theater. I was on my way home about; 10 minutes later, I get a call and my daughter says, "can you come and get us? We bought our tickets but once we got inside, they would not let us come in."Come to find out I guess there is a Friday and Saturday "rule" that if you're not 18, you cannot go to a show that is after starts after 9 PM. When I arrived, I went inside to ask the ticket lady about this "rule". I said, "can you please show me where it says that at?" She takes me into the kiosk area where they bought the tickets. There is a ledge behind the kiosks with a plastic sign that has a piece of paper inside of it with small print along with other jargon about the "rule." They would not give the money back but they gave an AMC gift card. The story gets worse. I asked to speak to the manager to see if we could get a cash refund as it was $43 for three tickets and we would likely not be back to their theater . The manager came out and when I asked her about getting a cash refund and she said, " I cannot do that." I commented I was a little confused on why they had made this policy . Her words were and I quote, "I'm not trying to deal with teenagers." That really struck a nerve with me and I said, "well you're probably in the wrongbusiness then. She goes to talk about how terrible teens are. I said you are definitely putting all teens in the same category and that's wrong. I told her these three teens are actually very well mannered and good students. (Mydaughter is in the top 50 of her class. . .) She goes on to talk about how terrible teens are. I really was in shock that she was speaking in such a manner. I told her that she was judging all teens on evidently a couple of experiences. I let her know she was wrong and she was definitely in the wrong line of work. If this truly is an AMC policy, it's not a good one. In fact, it's blatantly discriminatory. Loved the new Dolby sound theater! Saw Godzilla movie and the subs in the seats made the experience even more worth it. The tickets are a little more as $16 but let me tell you with the reclining seats all leather. It was definitely worth every penny the fact that you can now order your popcorn and drink ahead of time and had it waiting for you when you get to the theater makes it all worthwhile so you don't have to wait in line, definitely a plus!!! read more

It's always fun to go to the movies. I especially like a deal so going early in the day, if you can, is best. The chairs are comfortable and the place was clean. We were able to buy our tickets online so that was super convenient when we arrived. There was plenty of parking and if you're doing dinner and a movie there are plenty of restaurants walking distance from the theater. read more

The theater's here a still in pretty good shape. But the restrooms need a makeover. The snack bar is still reasonably nice. They could use more help. I hate using a self server machine it takes longer than just buying them from a employee. read more

For family night we went to see Jumanji at the AMC Perry Crossing. I'm a AMC A list stub member so I wanted to see how this location compares to other locations. The Plainfield location was clean and really nice. I had no problems getting our tickets and it was easy access to the concession stand. There was a small mistake on my part with movie times but they were able to fix the issue immediately. The staff was really nice, helpful and they even wished me a Happy Birthday. The Dolby cinema experience was really cool. I'm not sure if I'd pay that additional fee every time I go to the movie but we enjoyed it. Having a young child plus Jumanji having a lot of action in it made the experience worth it. Clearer picture, movement in the seats with the sounds, reclining chairs, etc kicked the night up a couple notches. Aside from enjoying the movie, the theater wasn't packed on a Friday night. I didn't check out the bathrooms but everything seemed to be well organized and maintained. This was not our first time here but this was my first time in the Dolby cinema. Again, it's pricey but sometimes it's worth the splurge. I really feel like AMC gives you a bang for your buck being an A list stub member.... we love it! Great night out with the family. read more

After three recent visits I find the this experience is not what it used to be. The first time we had to buy tickets from cashiers selling refreshments. I do not like to wait that long to buy a ticket of admission. We had just come from eating a meal so we were not buying refreshments yet we had to wait for all the others to do so. This second time, the queue to buy refreshments was longer than the "corral" fencing; time to open up more cashiers. Wait time was 20 minutes. This third time, today, a Sunday, there were only two cashiers working refreshments. The corral fencing was full. The wait time over 15 mins. We missed the beginning of the movie. Both butter urns were empty and they just opened which means no one serviced them to prepare for the day. This means poor management. And the speaker system for the admittance cashier was broken. Very hard to hear them behind the ridiculous bullet proof glass. Does Plainfield have a lot robberies? There is a credit union with a metal detector nearby. I believe I will look elsewhere for my movie experience from now on. read more

The attendant charged me accidentally for more people than in my party. They couldn't process the refund on my card. They said they'd do paperwork and send a refund. The manager was VERY rude. Then when I turned and asked the person behind me if she wanted to buy my extra ticket for the robot movie the manager said "lady you can't interact with other guests". I gave up and walked away. As we were walking away she asked my granddaughter "honey are you ok?" Like I was some beast. All I kept saying was "you need to make me whole". This was your fault. read more

As far as theatres go, it's pretty good. It's a nice, clean theatre that didn't have me counting down the minutes until I could race home and strip down naked in the laundry room, fearful of what may have rode home with me. We were met with extremely friendly personalities from the ticket booth to the concession stand, where my obessive little routine for making sure my popcorn is properly layer with butter was satisfied with a smile. AMC popcorn is my favorite movie popcorn that I can actually eat without getting sick. Curious if maybe they don't use GMO corn??? Or maybe it's because it's actual popcorn and not Styrofoam, like a lot of other non-AMC theatres serve. Only bummer was that the seats weren't recliners. I'm not sure if other screens in the theatre had the reclining seats, but this aging lady was totally bummed that she had to sit like a rebellious teenager with her feet on top of the seats in front of her. Thankfully there were only 2 other people at our showing and we snagged our typical back row position. Plenty of room for my son to stim away in excitement, if he's so inclined. read more

They recently renovated the Big D which is now the Dolby screen with the leather seats. Unfortunately we were too late to see the movie in there. We were the only ones at our afternoon showing today which is pretty sweet, was like a private screening. This theater is in Perry Crossing right across the street from restaurants and shopping very convenient if you want to eat before or after a show. Since there's 18 theaters there are usually multiples times for the same show. They also have two kiosks to purchase tickets. read more

I love going to the movies. It is one of my favorite things to do when I have free time. This AMC is very well maintained. It is pretty clean and the staff is helpful. I went to see a movie around 4:30 which doesn't seem to be a busy time but was a lot more busy than I would have expected. The staff got us through the line quickly. The theater was a traditional theater. It didn't have the reclining seats (but some theaters here do). It was clean and everything was what you'd expect. read more

We saw The Batman here a few weeks ago. If you see one in the Dolby theatre they have recliner seats. The rest of the theatre hasn't been updated and we are spoiled now. The Dolby theatre is really awesome. The Batman was the perfect movie to experience it. The seats actually feel like they are shaking. It's not loud. It's more surround sound and you feel like you are right there in the car chase. They have an elevator to take you to the top seats which was great for my aunt and her scooter. The only thing is you feel so far from the restrooms and the movie was 3 hours long. So It made me miss a bit more that I would have liked. But the movies are just soooo long now! The concessions stand was quick and organized. You fill your own drinks at the Coke freestyle machines. I would only see movies in Dolby here though. It was a few more dollars, but we have the A-List pass so we didn't mind since it is all included. read more

We saw Hobbs & Shaw (Fast & Furious) in the AMC Dolby theater on Saturday. This was a great theater with very comfortable, reclining leather seats that vibrated often in this movie. I was super concerned with the seating but we were not disappointed in the least. We purchased online tickets prior to the show. Upon arriving, we quickly printed tickets off at the kiosk without incident and was seated within minutes. We had just finished lunch so we didn't take advantage of the concession. However, they offered all the standard refreshments of hot dogs, nachos, popcorn, candies and Coke Free Style machines (unlimited refills) for the normal outrageous movie theater prices. Check out purchasing the Stubs Card for ticket and concession discounts. The theater was larger, extremely clean, the temperature was comfortable, spacious isles, and impressive audio and video. Every explosion or impact in the movie was felt and occasionally I wished the vibrations were less but loved the movie. Exactly what I needed, expected and wanted. As you can image Hobbs & Shaw was action packed from the very beginning to the end so repetitive vibrations. The AMC Dolby theater didn't disappoint, was a great experience and I'm sure we'll return soon. read more

It isn't as easy to review the movies as it use to be. First you will want to joint their club with the app it's not too much money, but if you like to buy tickets ahead of time there is a $3 something fee so with the basic membership that fee is waived. You also get some other benefits like free upsized popcorn. With the app and pre bought tickets it's easy just walk up to the scanner show the code and your ticket prints out. No waiting in line and you can get a good seat. Next went to get some popcorn they were pretty quick. The only negative was the popcorn it was very tiny seemed like I got a lot of the bottom popping sand was pretty salty. But the theatre was top notch great sound and video. Enjoyed the movie but they don't have the recliners here. It was still comfortable the bathrooms here were nice and clean too. I will return and hope for better popcorn next time. read more

Honestly I've kind of given up on these chain movie theaters. I really hate that they are kind of the only option if I want to take my family to see a newer children's movie. I would have hoped that maybe during the shut down that some of these places could have at least gone in with a carpet cleaner and gotten some of the stickiness out of the different theaters, but that did not seem to happen. There was nothing broken, and everyone was polite, although I think we only really dealt with one actual human since we bought our tickets online. I think for the future if we go to the movies, we will keep it to adult films so that we can go to the slightly newer and cleaner facilities that have opened. read more

I absolutely love this theater there seats are comfy and very roomy there very clean which I love the most me and my stepdaughter decided to see a movie while we were out shopping I was very pleased with there ticket prices it was only $7.99 per person that right there is my kind of price after 4 pm of course the ticket prices goes up to $12.00 bucks me personally I wouldn't pay that much to see a movie unless it was one of my kids b/day or my husband's b/day but I will say this theater is on my top 3 movie theaters to go to in Indy one more thing I forgot to add is I LOVE the free refills on the drinks for the price you pay it's a good idea they came up with was the free refills the soda machine has all different kinds of drinks and slushies to choose from read more

My mom and I came to this AMC, because they had a time that worked for us and in Dolby for Spider-Man. The place is clean and luckily the Dolby theater has recliners (I believe the other theaters here do not). This was on December 23rd. I get it - supply chain issues and shorthanded. That being said, you'd think they would have prepared for concessions better ahead of Christmas. I tried to order nachos, and they only had salsa. I settled for a cheese pizza. My mom tried to order a pepperoni pizza, and they were out (sounds like they just got a truck but it wasn't unloaded yet). She then ordered a hot dog. A guy came up and said it would be another 30 minutes for a hot dog, as they just put them on the grill. She finally settled for cheese corn. Their candy was basically non-existent. They only had the rejects (Welch's fruit snacks and Red Vines). My mom and I love our theater snacks, and this was frustrating. read more

This is a great movie theater! Every time I have gone has been an enjoyable experience. I like how you choose seats when you purchase the tickets. This allows for families to sit together and to avoid the rush to get seats. The seats are comfortable and has arms that move out of the way for when a child wants to snuggle while watching a movie. The people are always helpful both at the snack counter and around the theater. We will definitely eat going back! read more

I hate to give a bad review of this theatre because we have been taking our children here for years and it's always been a great experience. Unfortunately the last couple of visits not so much. During the holidays we went to see the evening showing of Black Panther Wakanda Forever. There were three families who brought very young children ranging image from a few months to 2 years old. For two of the families when the children became fussy, they took them out of the theater but the people behind us and a very energetic and loud toddler who yelled and threw tantrums for the entirety of the movie. When the movie was over we looked back there and saw the entire area they were sitting in was covered in garbage, spilled soda and popcorn. As we exited the theatre the entire lobby was trashed and most of the trash cans were filled to the brim or overflowing. There was trash, popcorn on the floors. Both the men's and women's bathrooms were filthy with the women's room being so bad neither of my daughters would even consider using it. I'm not sure what has happened to this theatre . Why it's not maintained as well as it used to be or why a handful of patrons are allowed to make it impossible for all the others to enjoy a movie, but I'm pretty sure we have seen our last movie in this theater. It's just easier to wait until a film comes out on a streaming service. read more

Worst place ever!!! Literally spent $200 plus for 5 people my husband runs out to the car to grab my medicine and they locked him out and laughed at him. He had a couple call into the movie theater and they didn't answer!! My husband tried to get in and the female manager literally looked at my husband and laughed and wouldn't let him in. If I wasn't in there our children would have been left alone because the female manger wouldn't let my husband in after she let him out then straight threaten to called the cops. They literally let him out to go to the car. Then literally came to the glass and laughed at my husband! I'm calling corporate tomorrow and I'm calling up there y'all should be ashamed he literally went to go out and get my medicine! AMC you have hired a pos manager she should be ashamed of herself!!! How the hell can you laugh at my husband and not let him in!! You should be ashamed of yourself if you have a job on Monday I will be surprised! Visited midday midweek to see "Beauty & the Beast" with my mom and another friend. I'm a little sad it was $7.75 to see this during an off-peak time, but those fancy lights don't run themselves all day. This theater is only about 10 years old, so the seats are still in great condition. In a time where many in the area are turning to the wide, lounging recliners, I'm sure this one will be updated soon. Until then, it's still comfortable. I appreciate that it's a clean theater and the bathrooms are well-kept, too. No sticking to the floors of the theater here! They recently changed from Carmike to AMC, so Stubs members will enjoy perks at another location. Easy to find parking. Note: if you like Orange Leaf, save your ticket and use it for 10% off your purchase that day. It's just outside the building along the main drag leading up to the doors. read more

This is our go-to theater. Personally I enjoy the Dolby cinema even though it's more expensive ....comfy seats HUGE screen and just a better movie experience. Love the popcorn and drinks. Went to see Left Behind-Rise of the anti-Christ today. Not a good experience. My seat leaned WAY back, like a car seat that`s been leaned back too far. I was uncomfortable the whole 2 hours, leaning forward because I hate leaning back like that. The Coke I got that I had to self-serve was flat and tasted horrible. Went to see the anticipated Avengers end game in Dolby on a Sunday. The theater is nice and there weren't alot of people there at 10 am aside from those in our theater. The snack line moved expeditiously and we were promptly greeted and our order taken. The popcorn is pre portioned in tubs and bags which I do not prefer because you don't have the ability to put butter on the popcorn at the half way mark, other than that it's the movies so expect to spend a bunch on concessions. The bathroom was a bit dirty, but not horrible. Seating was nice and Dolby was pretty good but I'm unsure if it's worth the surcharge. Overall it was a good experience and I would go back. read more

Carmike is my preferred theater in Indiana so I was excited to find there was one in Plainfield after having moved down from Fort Wayne last year. The one in Metropolis appears to be an old Rave theater that Carmike has since purchased. This is my wife and I's go to theater in the area. They have recently made some changes since we first started going; some good, some bad. They recently added the "Big D" movie experience which features upgraded seats, a bigger screen, and more sound (think IMAX theater with some non-IMAX movies). We found the increased cost to experience the Big D to only be worth it for the big blockbuster movies where we know there will be lots of explosions. They have raised the prices on certain things here recently. Refills on the annual popcorn buckets have gone up (I still think it is a good value). I can't comment on the prices of the rest of the food as I only ever buy snacks on Tuesdays when candy, popcorn, and pop are only $2. However, I remember last year when they were only $1. Not complaining though as I don't know anywhere else around that offers a "Stimulus Tuesday" type of promotion. Another welcome addition in terms of food is the Coke Freestyle machines, which allow unlimited refills on whatever size drink you purchase. This particular location has always appeared clean every time we have attended and my wife and I have never had any complaints. One thing I will note is that some of the employees aren't as knowledgeable on the promotions as they should be. Carmike, the Corporation, will put out promotions frequently on social media advertising free food with purchases or the like. There has been more than one occasion where the ticket counter or snack bar attendant was unaware of what I was talking about. However, they have always been very courteous and usually a simple showing of my phone gets me the promotion, or whatever it may be. This is definitely the theater I frequent the most while I am here. read more

Finally got around to seeing Endgame. We figured we do a little extra for this one, so we got tickets for the Dolby Cinema. For any time of action movie, I'd highly recommend this option. We screen is massive and the sound is PRIMO! You can actually feel the movie, which is a much better third dimension option than the jump out of the screen thing. That was just the movie experience. As for the accommodations, the Dolby Cinema offers reclining seats which are sectioned off in pairs making it ideal for date night. Also, each row is separated by a thick partition so you can recline and kick your feet up without being a jerk about it. This place is great! read more

The movie seating and experience itself was fine. However, we decided to treat the kids to Mac and cheese bowls during since they were hungry. The bowls cost almost $10. It was the most pathetic serving of Mac and cheese I've ever seen. Literally was just a single of layer of noodles across the bottom of the bowl. It looked nothing like the picture on the menu. This is supposed to be an adult serving and didn't even come close to satisfying my children. I expect movie concessions to be a rip-off, but it was ridiculous. When we brought it to a manager's attention, they just said the bowls come like that, and gave us a popcorn voucher that we probably won't use because it expires in a month, and refused to refund or any other remedy. Score= -1. No ticket taker, had to wait 25 minutes in the concession line to get in. Finally jumped the barrier and just went into the movie (already had our tickets from the kiosk). We missed part of the first movie, even though we got there early. Went for a double feature Fathom event, so I attempted to go talk to a manager during the 2 shows. Talked to manager Nicole, who had a line of customers before me already complaining. Nicole was rude, very short with me (as she had been to the 2 people in front of me). Nicole made it VERY clear it was not her problem, nor did she care or even apologize for what happened. This was our first visit to this location, WOULD NEVER GO THERE AGAIN. I recommend staying away from this location, and definitely never try to ask Nicole for help. After seeing how she treated me and the customers before me, she should definitely NOT be a manager as she has no customer service skill at all. If I treated my customers that way, I wouldn't have a job. So sad. We'll just stick to our local AMC theater at Traders Point, they would never do a customer that way! read more

This is the complete opposite of one of the other experiences I had just recently. It totally goes to show you that not all theaters are equal. Both of them were AMC, but only one in my opinion went all out to make sure that you have the best possible experience. I absolutely love coming to the movies and rarely do I have a bad time, so if I complain in my review then it has to be pretty bad. This movie theater is nestled right in what used to be known as The Metropolis, which is a much better name than Perry Crossing...just saying. It's extremely convenient to get to and everything inside is well taken care of. Games work, staff are friendly, and the overall look is clean. The screens are also in great condition, as well as the sound quality is pretty top notch. read more

Came to Perry AMC for the first time today. Only upon walking into the theater playing my kovie did I realize the seats are the uncomfortable, generic, narrow plastic seats of our youth. Every other AMC i have seen has the modern larger reclining seats with space f9r food and husky people. I certainly did not see it noted on the website when i bought tickets that the seats were crappy and jammed people in elbow to elbow like cattle. Same price too. Will not come back to Perry. read more
