Came to a 4pm show on a Tuesday and had no complaints. Theater was clean. The lines for refreshments moved quickly. The seats recline and are comfortable. We picked a room with interactive sound as well which was nice as the seats vibrated during action scenes. Also found out that Tuesdays are deal days! We got a slushee and popcorn for $5 and tickets are as low as $7.

Thanksgiving weekend at the movies with an 11-year-old. We saw Red One (choice of the 11 year old.) They have an adult bar area. There is a premier member line for AMC members. (We are not.) The general line moved quickly enough.

My normal theater wasn't showing the rerelease of Kill Bill, much to my dismay. But! my My girlfriend comes to the rescue by finding this theater. I've never been a big fan of amc theaters,I find them far too flashy and too expensive. I was a bit surprised by how out of the way this theater was but once we were inside I could understand the appeal. The lobby was well lit and and immaculately clean! Everyone one on staff we interacted with was kind and prompt. In our screening room the chairs rocked (this was my girlfriend's favorite part) And were spacious. This wasa great experience for a fantastic movie. Given the distance...i doubt I'll make this my regular theater, though I by no means would be opposed to coming back.

Purchased tickets for Gladiator 2 in theater #16 which was pretty small, however, the seats were extremely comfortable and roomy. I really liked how the end seats were against a end wall for more privacy. Bought the large drink and the pretzel bites and they were excellent which comes with a cheese sauce and between 13-15 bites for around $8.

I have to admit, I am not a movies person. I can't even remember the last movie that I saw in theaters but I'm sure it was over 7 years ago. I will tell you one thing though we did not have these super comfortable seats. The seating at AMC has really come along way... but so have the prices. I am way too cheap to want to pay $20 for a popcorn and a soda again lol. We went early on a Saturday so the tickets were like $12 a piece, I think but then I spent $80 in snacks for 3 people. I'm still going to give this place five stars for the movies part because the seats were really comfortable.

I don't normally complain about our AMC 17 Theater however today was just an awful experience. We attended the 12 noon showing of "Oppenheimer". The Theater, measuring the temp on my mobile device, was 70 degrees. I'm pretty sure the film sound can be regulated by the projectionist as the music pretty much drowned out the dialog and the dialog had a ton of bass and was near impossible to make out the dialog between the two, music & bass. Maybe the speakers are old, I don't know. What I do know is, this was not a good experience. I'm not going to dissuade people from going to AMC 17 South however, I would very much like the management to get in contact with me about this. I have tried in vain to find a customer Service connection on the AMC website but cannot so, I am at a loss.

Since we had planned to eat lunch out after the movie we skipped the refreshments today. We came to see "The Boy and the Heron" from Studio Ghibli. If you are unfamiliar with Studio Ghibli, they produce high quality Japanese animation full length feature films dubbed in English with A list actors such as Christian Bale (he starred in Howl's Moving Castle, a huge hit of theirs) in today's feature along with Dave Bautista, Gemma Chan, Willem Dafoe, Mark Hamill, and Robert Pattison. Studio Ghibli hasn't made much lately so it was nice to see their return with another good one. "The Red Turtle" (2016) is another good one of theirs that's been on cable channels lately. Coming out of the theater I noticed there were very few people so I guess people are still getting their last minute Christmas shopping done.

We went on a Sunday and found street parking pretty easily, but then realized the theater validates parking for up to 3 hours. Such a nice perk -- wish I knew before circling around lol. We bought our tickets online ahead of time, and when we got there I ordered the garlic cheesy bread and a drink at the counter. Total was around $15. The seats were really comfy and spacious, which made the whole experience feel worth it. The food came out pretty fast. The garlic cheesy bread was probably like a 5/10 for me... not terrible, but I probably wouldn't order it again. Overall though, really nice theater and I'd definitely come back for another movie night.

We arrived and parked in the garage located next to the theater. When we checked in at the box office, we were told to request parking ticket validation upstairs. They provide 3-hour parking validation. I was under the belief that we could order refreshments from our seats, but the usher at the theater door advised that we should order at the counter and food (with the exception of beverages, popcorn and candies) would be brought out to our seats. This was disappointing because the line was quite long. We stood in the queue and once we reached the counter, we were assisted by what I believe was the food service manager. He spoke with a sense of ownership over the issue that was their beer refrigeration line. All of their beer is on tap, and none was available because of this issue. The gentleman was short with us. He talks fast and asked what we'd like and before we could even get the words out of our mouths, he demanded that we produce our seat tickets. I was pulling them out of my pocket when he said something to the effect of "we can't deliver it to your seats if we don't know where you're seated". This is true, but once I gave him the tickets, he held onto them until the end of our transaction. If he didn't need them right away, then why cut us off like that? My husband tipped on the receipt, but I felt that the service was subpar. I hope the tips are given to the food runners. When we found our seats, there was a huge spill in front of one of them. The employees have to come into the theater and remove dishes, cups, etc. after each show, so that spill should have been addressed. I found an employee who was running food orders and asked him for a towel. He graciously assisted us in cleaning up the spill. We both ordered The Fast Times pizzas. They were small, personal sized pies. They were cheesy, with a generous amount of pepperoni, but the crust wasn't fully cooked. I barely ate half of mine before I began feeling sick. I had to excuse myself to restroom shortly thereafter when I became ill. My husband's stomach is stronger than mine, or perhaps his was fully cooked. The seats were comfortable and I don't think you can pick a "bad one", but the food and the service could use improvement.

If you're entering after 5 pm, you should use the south entrance to the museum, since the canal north entrance is locked. Tickets can either be bought at the ticketing counter or online, but online tickets are also scanned in here to check in. Then, the concessions counter is right by there. The prices for concessions are a little steep, but nothing outrageous. You can enter the theater from the first or second floor. The theater is pretty steep, so there's a bit of stairs depending on where you need to go. There is accessible seating at the very top row of the theater with companion seats. The seats are fairly comfortable but the rows are spaced kind of close, so you can feel people bumping your seat if they are moving about even pretty normally. The seats also don't recline much either. Picture posted to this review is the point of view from row K. Overall it was a good experience and I'd possibly be back.

The surfaces look sticky, and there are trails of stepped-on popcorn ground into the carpet. The seats do not recline, so expect an old-fashioned movie-going experience. Although, I've read that if you see a movie in the Dolby theatre, the seats are better, so your mileage may vary. One of the good things about this movie theatre is that it serves beer and wine. I didn't get any during my visit, but maybe I should have. The soft drinks are dispensed at a machine off to the side, and you can pick your flavor of soda. Another neat thing that I noticed: You can order your concessions ahead of time, and they will be ready to be picked up at a little nook off to the side. This would come in handy if you want to skip waiting in line! I don't usually order food at a movie theatre, but I had some food credits burning a hole in my pocket, so I got chicken tenders, mini chocolate chip cookies and pretzel bites for my child. My child originally wanted the Bavarian pretzel, but we were informed that the pretzel is as big as a steering wheel, so we opted for the pretzel bites instead. Who is buying soft pretzels as big as steering wheels? That seems obscene to me. Just make them a normal size? The chicken tenders were actually really good. Maybe my expectations were low for these chicken tenders, but they were fresh and crispy, and you get six big tendies in an order, with your choice of sauce (I chose honey mustard). The mini cookies were served warm, but they tasted a little weird -- almost like they were baked on a pan that had something else on it previously, like chicken tenders. As far as the movie theatre itself: We must have been in one of the smaller theatres, because it felt a little tight in there. But the sound was great, and the temperature was decent, and we generally had a good time.
