Not to happy with my recent visit.Use to be my fav local bar.Ordered a Bloody Mary,was well vodka which is fine but my drink was made in a tiny tiny plastic glass,like so small it should only be used for a child.Then I was charged7.00.I asked if there was a bigger glass glass and was told they didnt have any but yet the normal sized glasses were stacked under the counter.Thompon house use to be the place to go but their drink prices for the size is way to much.Im sure bartender was doin what she was told to do but I can go to Bens in southern plaza and get a great Bloody Mary in a tall glass glass for 5.00 bucks.Was goin to bring family from outta state to eat at thompson house because their food is amazing but the drink size and cost is unexceptable.Im really pissed at tho.pson house!! read more

I've been coming to this bar for years, since it opened. They've expanded a good deal and offer plenty to do while you enjoy a drink. Pinball machines, lots of dart boards, a pool table, pull-tabs, a TouchTunes machine and an indoor stage where they sometimes have live music. Nice bar and grill. Laid back atmosphere, pool table, over a dozen electronic dart boards, juke box. They had an area obviously intended for live bands to set up. The food is good and reasonably priced. I had the Blue Streak burger, my wife had the fish dinner and a bowl of the potato soup. All were delicious! We will definitely be coming back. This was a suggested place by my cousin. We went because it was 25 cent per wing with cheap drinks options so we had the spicy garlic, mambo, teriyaki. All the wings very salty, the only sauce I could really taste the flavor of was the mambo. The blue cheese was sweet. Ugh. The service was good. The live music was really good. Speaking of cornhole, if you like to play, there is a Ladies Night on Mondays ins the fall through winter, plus blind draws on Tuesday's and most Saturday's plus singles and bring your own partner tourneys on Friday's. Came with a group of 8 for some 25¢ wings on a Sunday night. Heard the food was good and was hopeful. Service was very slow: major downside. It took 15 mins to get our drinks, and when we did, one friend's rum and pineapple juice was entirely pineapple juice. Once the drink was remade, there was liquor in it. Our server seemed to disappear at random times, which is slightly frustrating when you need them. Food was solid. Service put me in a bad mood. read more

Only been once. I'm gonna guess this is a hit and miss place with the service. The night I went was definitely a miss. Our server wasn't good at all. I had to raise my hand on 3 different occasions to get her attention. She talked to guest, which were some friends of hers I guess, the whole time we were there. She came over to check on us never many times. Plus our food took 30 mins too come out and it wasn't even a full house and the fries weren't hot. The wings were good though. I'll give them one more chance. Which will determine if I ever come to this place again. read more

The food is pretty decent, however, the last time we were there we were seated around 530P, placed our food order and was one of three couples in the whole place. At 6PM it began filling up for their 25 cent wings which starts at 6PM. At least five tables that entered after us received their food. Finally, I spoke with a manager who tried to blame the waitress. It clearly wasn't her fault as we had watched her take our ticket back to the kitchen. The manager was pretty stern/rude during the interaction as well. A short time later we overheard the table behind us receiving the same treatement after having the same complaint as ours. Pair that with the (probably illegal) discrimination they served to a handicapped friend of ours by not allowing his helper in the mens bathroom and we have every reason that we need to never go back. There are plenty of places in Indy for good cheap wings.... They were very much in our good graces until these incidents. My husband and i decided to go for the 25 cent wing night. He arrived a little before 8, ordered wings and a drink. I arrived at a little after 8:30. At 9 my husband was ready to leave, I wanted wings. So, when I seen a male waiter I told him that it'd been an hour since my husband ordered. He said the orders are taking an hour he was short with me and his tone was harsh. He asked who the waitress was I told him I don't know I had been there well over 20 minutes and she hadn't come to the table. I asked if he could check on our order. He walked off spoke to someone and came back in our direction. I thought he was going to relay a message at the very least. He walked by us in silence went to the table behind us and then left the area. At that time we left. TH Is about 8 mins from our house. This was going to be the 4th time going there, but I cannot bring myself to pay for poor service. It was not nearly as busy as it had been previous times so I honestly don't understand the delay. Even giving the benefit of the doubt as to why the service was slow. there is no excuse to not check on your customer for a whole hour. There is no excuse to be borderline rude to a customer for a simple inquiry. So I've only got a few visits to this place, my thoughts may change but given they don't have any reviews, let's see how it has gone! I showed up on a weeknight for my first visit. Stopped in for a beer, and the place is nice and clean. They have some local beer, so that's a plus. Seemed to have a pretty good booze selection as well. Live music was playing, and patrons seemed to be having a good time. Second visit was on a weekend night, a bit on the late side. Less busy, though annoyingly some drunk patrons were throwing darts super hard (not a normal throw at all) and laughing as they broke dart tips, hit the wall, and basically everywhere else that wasn't a numbered slot on the board. The women they were with kept telling them to stop, but they didn't listen. An employee even seemed to walk by, glance, and walk away. A little annoying. I'll be back sometime in the future and see how it goes. There are a few food items I'd like to try. As of now I've just played darts and had a few local beers, and it seems like a decent place. read more

Bartenders are friendly. Wings and pizza are a go to for me personally, we went to see a friends band play there and they handled it very well with the band on one side and then the games and average bar things on the other side. Bathroom was a little worse than your average bar bathroom, but the atmosphere was authentic with the "bar fly" customers and all. read more

So I love this place food is great management amazing super clean no complaints. I'm actually writing this review on a specific server who served us. Her name is Chelsea she served us at the bar. Let me start by saying her attitude was horrible, super unprofessional on her phone most the time, didn't speak more than taking our order and cashing us out and rude remarks in between. She didn't wash her hands once between making different drinks and what not i even saw her drop a mixing spoon pick it up and use it IN SOMEONES DRINK. She complained to the people near us about how she's late on bills and tired of people giving "shit tips." Made us feel uncomfortable. She also seemed to be under influence of something I won't point fingers but super weird experience. Will definitely come back but request a different server. read more

They're lucky they even get one star I came in as a undercover operation to see how good the bar truly was when I entered I I took a seat at the bar it took the bartender quite sometimes even acknowledge that I was there I proceeded to ask her for a drink in which I thought she was very very very very nasty in the way she greeted me once I receive my drink there was another couple that was playing pool and invited us to play pool with them, that couple sure showed some Hoosier hospitality they made me feel like I was at home, me and my other better half ordered another drink after that drink the bartender came to our table and told us we were cut off and let me remind you I'd only had two drinks I was staying at the hotel Holiday Inn Express right down the street I was walking home but it seems like she had such a fucking attitude and you cannot be a bartender and have a fucking attitude like that I will never ever come back!!!!!! #Ohana!!!!!! Thank God I got paid for doing this it was a paid research study, because I would have never spent my hard-earned money !!!!! AMAZING WINGS! we go almost every thursday and sunday for the $.25 wings. wish they had more sauces but the quality of the wings are great.

I went there for Sunday wings last night. They really were not busy- The wings were great so hats off to the cook- The waitress however sucked. Never seen her before so she must be newer. The ladies that work there are always fun and attentive. Not this one- She acted like she couldn't care less if I got my food or drink. I am always a good tipper i know how it is to have to "work" for your money. Not this one- I asked one of the other girls what her name was because she never even told me her name like any one else would- She just walked up and said what can i get you? Not friendly at all- they said her name is Jazmine? Anyway the bar itself is cool but i think they made a wrong choice on that woman. Not to mention the entire time i was there i watched my waitress basically hang outside smoking and when i went out for quick puff she was complaining to someone out there about the bar itself, her bosses named Mike & Sheryl ( i believe mike is the owner) and the girls she worked with not sharing tables- i am thinking to my self why should they share tables when you do not even pay attention to your customers as it is? I recently moved home from California and had to renew my drivers license. Due to this, I have a temporary paper ID. The bar tenders would not allow me to sit and eat in the bar with a paper ID. They requested that I show them my old ID, which was taken at the BMV because it is illegal to have more than one ID. I offered to show them other forms of ID (i.e. credit cards or other items with my name on them). I also offered to log into the BMV website to show a copy of my valid ID and they still made me leave. I'm several years beyond the legal drinking age. I also drove an hour to meet friends for the wing special. I was not even trying to purchase alcohol, I was there at 5pm for dinner. Furthermore, the manager who kicked me out would not even come to my table to speak with me, she made me get up and walk to the bar to talk with her. This is the best neighborhood bar in Indianapolis. It's very clean, and has a very nice wide open floor plan. They also have a very nice new stage where local bands play. It's one of very few bars in town where you don't have to order a double to get a proper drink. The food is great, and its very reasonably priced. I don't know anywhere else that has 25 cent wing specials. All of staff are friendly and professional. This is a proper bar, not some overpriced, trendy, juvenile nonsense that most bars try to be. read more
